Thor-El's Achievements

Newbie (1/14)

  1. I went to the section with the Master List, but it doesn't appear to be working. I assume this is a list of every Cars 1:55 toy released so far? My son has a good many, and I'm trying to figure out what's all been released so we can see what he's missing.
  2. Ironically, when they were first in the stores, I found both Super-Skrull variants fairly easily. But I have never, ever seen a regular one at all anywhere (which I'd much rather have than either of the ones I've got now). Ah, well...
  3. These really look great, but I'm a little suspect on the size issues myself. I'd like to see better pics, but odds are I'll get at least one at first to check him out, and if he looks good, then the rest will follow. You can never have too many armors for the armory, y'know.
  4. I agree with what someone said awhile back... Let Hasbro do the 'Classic' Ultron, and let Marvel Select do the Annihilation version so we can get a kickass throne for him as well.
  5. I didn't get any figures from people as gifts. However, with some of the Christmas money I got from my Dad, I had my wife pick up the two Marvel Legends Exclusive Two-packs. Interestingly enough, when she got home, and I got them out of the bag, the Cable/Marvel Girl packaging had Cannonball and Domino in it instead. Not switched out by anyone and resealed, just a factory error in packaging. So, off I go again tonight to exchange them for the correct versions. I really like Cannonball, but Domino is just kind of 'meh'. Maybe it's because I never really cared for the character in the first place.
  6. Well said. That Scud proto looks nice, but I seriously doubt we'll EVER see these things. All talk and no delivery.
  7. Geez, narrowing it down to only one... I'd say Grendel Hunter Rose, followed closely by Nexus.
  8. As much as I like the Serpent Society, the Masters of Evil got my vote.

    Thank You Hasbro!

Well, I'll admit that I bought the entire Annihilus and Blob waves for those BAFs, but happily passed on everyone in the Brood Queen wave except Black Knight. I'm splitting the cost of the Nemesis Wave with a couple friends (who want the Punishers and Daredevils), and will most likely just sell the BAF afterwards. Nova, Tigra, Black Bolt, and The Hydra guy by default are the only ones I'm interested in. So, if Hasbro keeps up the trend of X-related BAFs, then I'll happily be saving money... ...at least until the DC Classics line comes out at any rate.
  10. This is my setup at the moment. The Conan/Wraarl two-pack has eluded me for the time being, and I'm still waiting on Wave 2 from BBTS.
  11. I was under the impression that was an unsubstantiated rumor, and that information was only according to a single website. I'll wait for some kind of official word before I believe it. Granted, the wave's characters weren't the greatest, but I'm really hoping for the continued health of this series. There are so many great non-Marvel/DC characters that deserve this kind of high-profile treatment.
  12. From what we've seen to date, We know that Wave 3 contains... Aphrodite IX Vanguard Conan Motorhead (Machinehead? I'll admit my knowledge of Judge Dredd lore is severly lacking, to say the least) BAF: Ice Giant Has anyone heard who the last two figures are? *crosses fingers and hopes for Grendel Hunter Rose and Nexus*
  13. So, despite really wanting to have the Ronan figure, I had pretty much decided against buying this wave. Lord knows I have more than enough of each character already. But, I got an idea, and I just had to try it out. So, I went and picked up a Human Torch and a Mister Fantastic with the intention of putting Reed's head on that body (without the flames) to get a pretty nice non-stretchy Reed. Yeah, I should have known better. @grumpy@ Not only did Hasbro glue those flames onto that body, but there are hard anchor points molded into it with posts. The only flames I actually managed to get off were the chest ones, and the result looks terrible. So now I'm stuck with that Johnny fig, and a stretchy Reed. Ugh. Plus, Sue, Ben, and the Mole Man. What a waste of money. I might as well just finish Ronan.
  14. Huh. A lot bulkier than is necessary. That means that the shelf space a store has to devote to them will be crowded, and more than likely have less figures on display. Slimmed down packaging seems to be in order. Also, 'Collect & Connect'? I didn't realize the phrase 'Build-A-Figure' was trademarked or whatever. Interesting.
  15. Blasphemy. We can never have too many Thor figures. I like him. The wait is going to kill me!
