Oooh resurrection in a comic book. That suprised me. If there's one thing I HAVEN@T seen them do in a comic book is bringing a dead character back from the dead... ...by the way I'm being sarcastic @loll@ I thought 52 was different... @grumpy@ But then I guess we still got time to see where they go with this. In the meantime I'm off to squeeze some stress relievers...

'Jason Todd' revivals make me so mad! There was a topic like this on the DC board. Bringing characters back from the dead jsut takes away from the impact of the death in the first place. Gruntcast, do you own all those guns in that pic? Thats a lot of firepower!

Hey Irish Legend, Banshee issue looks awesome! Did you use a marvel Flair card for the front cover?
-
I saw that film a while back. I decided to put it in the same category I put the first Punisher film in, under 'W' for 'would rather scoop my own eyes out than watch again' @loll@ I like the Samuel Jackson idea though.

DarthJoe - Civil War rocks! Yeah Tony is being a first rate craphead at the mo, but I still have fond memories of the Marvel Action hour where no one really go hurt, and everyone had a good time in the end @loll@

Hard to get the 5 but here goes;- 1) Daredevil - I think he has the best set of superpowers, plus he just looks cool. 2) Wolverine - ever since I saw this guy when I was younger, my adamantium claws have been in the post... 3) Cyclops - Leader of the X men and an awesome character 4) Spiderman - We all know why! 5) Iron man - I love the idea of the suit of armour on the regular guy Honourable mention goes to Captain Britain, as Braitain owes him at least that much @loll@

I'm glad they are starting to use Black Adam. I'm beginning to like the dynamics of the Black Adam/Marvel family Plus #12 answered my question about why they couldn't change. Also, does that mean that the Trials of Shazam will be set after 52, and some where along the line Captain Marvel will become sane again?

Election, which is very good Vertigo, which is also very good

Surely they must realise it isn't Matt. Clint looks different to Matt. Plus Hawkeye isn't blind Recommend the current Daredevil arc by the way...

I like that. Cap doesn't stand a chance...

My Favourite film is Rushmore

Synch, yeah its sort of like an event, but taking time on it, so the story can be more thorough. Yes! Black Adam is back! and he seems to be getting owned by some slave girl from Egypt...? Can Black Adam change back to whoever he was before Black Adam? as when he is on his own he says 'Shazam' but doesn't change. Or does he have another phrase to say, like Captain Marvel Jr?

As Jim Carrey's Riddler would say "Now that's Impressive!"

Ha! I think Tarbuck is prob too busy doing panto in scarborough to fit Doctor who in. I see what you mean about the crying eastenders woman. The Daleks all appeared from the Time Lord prison tardis that the secret service Daleks brought back with them (!?). I guess where ever there is a thousands of cybermen, or thousands of daleks, or both there will be a plot device implimented that will make them all disappear, or get sucked into a big vortex, and alot of pounds put into CGI to make it look as nice as possible (sigh). Bring back the explosions! Colin baker took one out with a bomb in 'Revelation', even Ace took one out with an anti tank rocket.

I'm abit suprised that Mr Sinister hasn't made it into the main line, considering what he has put Scott and Jean through. My vote is for Sinister -
Kevin Mctaggert as Proteus? tho a little difficult to put as a figure...

Well what did people think? To be honest, it seemed as though it was a Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways copy, even down to the tall tower and the cybermen coming up the stairs like the Daleks did on Satellite 5. And whats the deal with the crying cyberman/torchwood woman? cybermen don't have tear ducts, was she leaking? The plotline was good, don't get me wrong, I love a good 'end of existence' and 'against the odds' storyline, but was hoping for something abit more meaty than what we actually got, maybe used some of the airtime that was taken up by the lengthy goodbye scenes between the Doctor and Rose (Talk about closure!) and again I find myself desperately trying to find substance in David Tennant's Doctor. I'm thinking that it has something to do with the fact that this part of the Doctor has never really been explored before, and so is so 'alien' to me in his character, but then I thought that Chris did it really well indeed; the whole idea that he was the last of his kind, that he suffered war guilt from the Time War, and even had a more sinister part of his character portrayed from the 'Have you seen this man' plotline. Doctor nine was the intense one who didn't 'do' families, or relationships and got stuck in, whereas Doc ten seems to be alot more floppy and soft edged, which sometimes makes his more serious moments a little redundant. Though I am glad that they put a little teaser in at the end, but I was preying that Catherine Tate said as little as possible, and will continue to have that hope during the next episode she is in, or at the very least, leave all her unfunny characters from her own show behind her.

Yeah I was wondering about the undead monkey when I saw the first one, maybe he stole some of the aztec gold again after everyone was getting ready to go home? I'm guessing the third one will sort out the Barbossa riddle. I understood that the east india trading company is just a company that runs out of Port Royal, and the new evil man that runs it is just looking for power. Also, did anyone stop to see the extra bit on the end of the credits like on the first one? a little bit of comedy tacked on the end, didn't add anything to the story, but was pretty good. And I hear ya about 'the matrix' syndrome. -
Nice!

Not as good as the first, but I enjoyed it. Thought the CGI was really good, Davy Jones his crew and the Flyman Dutchman looked awesome, and Bill Nighy was loving the role, the same way that Geoffrey Rush revels in his evil Captain role. Jack Sparrow had all the best lines again "Slimy Git!" being the best one. The only thing I thought was abit of a let down was the pacing of the story; it seemed to stop and start again as it went on, but the set pieces and production it made up for that. Gonna have to wait for the next one in May 2007 for the resolution to the TWO cliffhangers that they put in it! So is this franchise another trilogy, or perhaps will they try to get a few more out of it?
