From Wikipedia; In recent years, Jason Todd's importance had become less and less apparent until Batman: Hush, where it was hinted that he was really alive. This was not confirmed however until Batman: Under the Hood, where he returned as a villain to much controversy. Amusingly, considering his recent return, Denny O'Neil (editor of the Bat-comics at the time) states on the back cover of A Death in the Family trade paperback: "It would be a really sleazy stunt to bring him back". Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_A_Death_in_the_Family" My thoughts exactly.

Beautiful craftwork. Stunning. -
I love QL they are showing repeats over here starting from the beginning but i don't have the resources to watch it. But i do remember watching it during the 90's and loving it. Rock on with the sequel

He looks realt good. Reminds me of the ultimate spidey game

I defo want to see it, and i haven't read the book (I will be as soon as I can). I'm hoping that the Wackowski's have put something special together for it, and made it a good film, as Alan Moore has been on tv in the UK saying that he feels that they have not put on the screen what he has put on the page, and cites the other two attempts (From Hell and LXG) as being films he wished were never made, albeit made the way they were, and thats why he hasn't taken money for this one. I think thats real bad, considering he is the one that knows how to tell the story. Having said that, I will go to see it, as I like the premise, the production looks good, the Wackowski's are capable of good things, and V looks cool. What I won't do is accept it as the story that was written by Alan Moore.

Kill Bill VOL 1: Will it ever be on cable TV channels?
Animalchandler replied to TriceratonZog's topic in Action Figures
I would hate to see Kill Bill edited. Especially the crazy 88 fight (and keep it film noire PLEASE!) Thinking about it tho, I'm here in the UK and its not been put out here yet on terrestrial tv, but I don;t know whether that is because of censor laws or not. Channel 4 has shown worse films - heck, they even had a banned film season where they showed as many banned films they could find - take THAT bbfc! -
first look at S3?
Animalchandler replied to Autobot Commander for all ages's topic in Action Figures
Well I have no idea what he was supposed to be. I thought the effects for his cape were pretty cool, though I'm not sure if I still think that, since the film is old compared to the quality of CGI nowadays. But c'mon...guns? Stop messing round with the small toys Spawn and use some of those hell contacts to bring in some cool wepons. -
I like Lizards... should be a pic of my tat with that. Doesn't seem to have come up. Whats up with that?

first look at S3?
Animalchandler replied to Autobot Commander for all ages's topic in Action Figures
I have the film spawn on vid somewhere, have to say I wasn't that impressed with it. I don't really know the character though as I don't read the comic books. Didn't really understand why he was running around with guns when he's supposed to be a badass hell general. -
Are the making a magneto spin off?
-
cool tricks, but i don't think i would take up smoking for it.
-
I'll go with that. Give Wolvie his spin off and carry on making storyline related film. For the time being at least.

first look at S3?
Animalchandler replied to Autobot Commander for all ages's topic in Action Figures
Thats definately bogus. It plays the same sequence twice and is obviously taken from spidey one and two. Its awful, man, throw it right out. -
How do you know that Apocalypse won't be in X3? Isn't one of the cure storylines to do with apocalypse? or is that just in the cartoon? Yes I would like to see gambit in one of the films, and I also would like to see someone decide to start churning out sentinels. One of my fav episodes of the cartoon was 'the final decision' in which they take on the sentinal base and master mold. Although they would have to find a way round the fact that Henry Geiyrich has already been killed.

You're kidding me! Yeah I really liked Zoolander. Style was sharp, some of the lines were spot on, and the whole parody thing worked for me. Extreme ghostbusters I liked. The animation gave a more darker look to the series, which would make sense, as it is about ghosts and demons and stuff. The team worked well, although Eduardo was no replacement for Peter, but then I guess he wasn't meant to be. Regardless, I really liked it. But I'm still not convinced about Stiller the Ghostbuster. Now Depp...you put a 'no ghosts' patch on Depp and I bet he would love it.

Jason Todd was killed in "A Death in The Family". Batman: The Killing Joke is famous for paralyzing Barbara Gordon. OmegaHarbinger My mistake. But you get my point.
-
Thats true, but then Jason Todd was killed for dramatic effect, afterall, it is a story, and I feel that drama is lost if he is bought back. Those who read the killing joke now, after knowing that JT returns, will not have the same experience as those who thought that he was absolutely dead. I just don't like the idea of bringing characters back to life after they have been proven to have died. It sometimes seems that characters are brought back just for shock tactics, or lack of a better story. Being able to bring people back from the dead takes away the importance of death in a superhero's life. Afterall, Batman donned the mask and cape because of the death of his parents, and yet we don't see them turning up a few issues down the line - and we wouldn't want that to happen, as even though Gotham desperately needed a hero, the impact that Bruce's parents' death had on us as the reader would not be as dramatic knowing that they still lived. I think someone taking the mantle of the hero is cool - Tim Drake for example, what I disagree with is the way people can be seen to die, and then come back to life.
