  1. picked up both sets a couple of days ago. Really dig the Cobra set with the dog. Did you notice they used the Agent Helix head for Dial-Tone. IMHO both sets are pretty sweet. By the way did you notice the race of repeater. The card was one way but the figure was different.
  2. I'll be there when the stores open. Will check the newspapers today to see who is offering the best deals.
  3. Heck I would buy it in any uniform if I could find it. Sounds like pa pretty awsome figure.

There is a ToysRUs exclusive 5 pack with Repeater in it out now. It also has Footloose, Law & Order, a female DialTone and Zartan in disguise as a Joe. Looks like they used the Agent Helix head and legs for Dial-Tone. They are all wearing desert camo.
  5. Saw 2 ToysRUS new 5 pack exclusives for ROC The Joe pack had: Dial-Tone(female) Law & Order Footloose Repeater Zartan(dressed as a Joe trooper) The were all wearing the desert outfits The Cobra pack had: Neo-viper Elite-viper(has a very mean looking Dog) M.A.R.S. Industries Officer M.A.R.S. Industries Trooper Duke They are all dressed in Black and either silver or grey. Of the two sets I think the Cobra is the coolest because of the Elite-viper/dog combo

Nice custom. Great paint job too.
  7. I saw the gunship at TRU today and keep thinking that the box looked a little small for a 3 3/4 style vehicle. Also at that price why doesn't it come with a figure. I just was until I see a picture next to a Joe.
  8. This is the funniest thread I have read since I have been a member. Damn if you do damn if you don't. They are just action figures, toys. LOL But I do enjoy the banter. YO JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. He was suppose to be Sgt Stone from what I gathered.
  10. I don't normally get into these type of discussions but I have to say that I have been a GI Joe fan since the first 12" figure hit the shelf. I have collected joes sine '82 when they hit the small scale. I have read all the comics and seen all the cartoons. For me the move was pretty damn good. The change in the story line was necessary because if it hadn't changed all the charcters would have to be older than me. Things never stay the same and I can except that. Just like the change in the figures and the changes in the guys who write the comics and the style of the cartoon. It's still GI Joe and I am glad to see it hit the big screen. I am waiting for the next installment. There will always be haters and that ok to. Because we all have the right to be afraid of change. I hated the 25th style figures because they didn't fit in with the extremely large collection of other figures I had, but I got over it because they cane out with smore real cool figures. The Movie was what it was. It wasn't what a lot of us wanted it to be but it was still GI Joe. I enjoyed it and will see it again. And that for me is different because I NEVER see a movie twice. It has been said by some that the changes were necessary to capture a whole new generation of followers and I can dig that. But if you can only live in the past of what GI Joe was where would you be now. It has changed so many times over the past 25+ years and if it survives it will change some more. So get on board or get off the train.
