  1. GI JOE means to me a fantasy toy world that I loved as a kid. As a kid I couldn't get all of the toys or figures I wanted. But as an adult I CAN! GIJoe represents an 80's cultural life style that is not so present today. The love of one's country is a hard thing to be proud of for many, today. GIJoe had that in mountains. Plus Cobra! How can you not love that fanatical terroist group. GIJoe is a lifestyle.
  2. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Dang only 40 points for the last competition. AWESOME!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! JBL Rocks!!!!!!!! @razz@ And THANK YOU, too. @peace@
  3. I dont know what to say.... Its generosity like that between complete strangers that make these forums an awesome place to be in.... And all just because we share a common interest in toys. That is an awesome gesture. You humble us all. #US1#
  4. Thats a cool pic of those boxes.... are they MIB or just empty? Very cool either way. And LOL at your joke about your site. I have a MIB Sigma Collection if anyone cares... @hmmm@ I agree with DarthJoes assessment.
  5. I've always enjoyed pics from DJSoundwave. I've seen and right clicked saved them from several sites and of all types of action figures. Very impressive collection. Is it the Ultimate Collection.... ???? No, not in my opionion. Where are the Sigmas at? @smilepunch@ I really liked BeachHead666's obscure items better. He had some really cool pieces in there like that wooden box with the pewter figure and those games. Its going to be tough close competition. BeachHead had the better essay/short answer for me, easily. Masssive scale wise, its DJSoudwave. But the others are pretty close. GO JBL!!!!! And Thanks TNI for hosting this great Competition. I wish the other teams hadn't had dropped out so fast. It would have been a lot more fun to have all of us together until the end. BEST FAN SITE is a JOE SITE. PERIOD!!!!!
  6. Awesome News! Congrats Team! Did the other teams not get notified about the competetion? Or why the lack of participation on their part for this particular round?
  7. It looks cool for some superheroes to beat up on. But I cant afford that price. Maybe if it goes down in price and HTS is having one of those 25% off and free shipping deals.
  8. I guess you cant please everyone. I think that second and third place should get some points, too, as long as they are correct. Just not the full points but a dividend of it. Second gets half, third a fourth and fourth none for taking so long. @smilepunch@
  9. Check out BBTS to see details of all the revision cases. That sucks, what happened. And Im sick of all the abundant revision cases, too. Its like they heard our concerns, "why is stuff so hard to find?" And like a twisted deal with the devil they reply, "ok we'll give you all the Joes you'd like, hahahahaa" And they are all revision cases, LOL. ON one hand Im glad they are stocking so much JOE product. BUT man, why is it revision cases, LOL! Big Punch in the face @smilepunch@ Oh here is what you found at BBTS: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product...amp;mode=retail
  10. I got two sets from HasbroToyShop and received them both yesterday. Both of them HAVE the straps. They are removable and are a seperate piece from the backpack. Where did you guys, that dont have straps, get your sets from?
  11. I didnt read where the guy in Texas purchased them. On what page of the HISS tank topic did that happen? Thanks.
  12. OMG!! I remember seeing some of those now. This one most especially!! What a GREAT tribute to the bearded fuzzy heads of the 70's G.I.Joe (with kung fu grip) for the AT series. Now I'm even MORE sorrowful! I may be inconsolable! To add salt to your wound, There is this talented individual at JBL that made his own custom of Colton and even Flocked his beard and hair. Here is his thread: http://joebattlelines.com/phpBB3/viewtopic...=a&start=45 His final version is on the right, but this shows the real one followed by a WIP, then the final flocked version:
  13. I never saw the images of that. Are they still available somewhere to check out? You can see some of the unproduced/canceled 8'' toys here in this thread at JBL: http://joebattlelines.com/phpBB3/viewtopic...f=44&t=6167 That Scarlett was just a prototype but the other figures were pretty much done and ready to go.
  14. WOW! That guy looks great. They seem to keep knocking them out of the ball park. I am so happy with this toy line.
  15. Maybe this will work: And I see that Robin IS much smaller than Nightwing. Pretty cool. So they aren't just reusing the same body afterall.
  16. I saw that 3 pack at KMart on Wednesday. It went for I think $20. It had the purple joker in it.
  17. For Darkseid, I would say the Blue one is harder to find because he came out first. But the darker one is seen as more accurate so it may be sought after more. There is this toy collector store at one of my local malls and they have the purple Darkseid for $12. This store is usualy pretty overpriced but that seemed really fair to me. As for the Clark two pack, I would check Ebay. I got my two pack for under $20 shipped a couple of months ago. And Im willing to bet we'll see this two pack again in those reissue 2 packs for TRUs. Its a sure hitter to get a rare figure, Clark Kent, and to put out the big boy himself Superman back on the shelf.
  18. I have in my DCUC display the Green Lantern Guardians, those two fit in pretty good. I also have Kilowag and the ManHunters. For Batman I got the MadHatter, he looks cool.
  19. I took the knife completely off of my Joker. And he could still hold nice and tight. He has a good tight grip around two fingers. Just shove the knife in there.
  20. I got all three and I like the Joker the best... despite his lack of articuation. He just looks so cool to me. I thought these figs were smaller than 6'' but I took a measuring stick to them and they are all exactly 6'' tall. That means the DCUC are a bit taller than 6'', I thought they were exactly 6''. Thats the only thing that bugs me about these figs, the odd sizes between the two.
  21. Well Im going to try and go to SDCC this year and see what I can get. I hope he wont sell out too fast. And I hope its as easy as just waiting in line to buy him.
