Anybody else still load these forums up occasionally and look for anything going on?
I probably stop by here 2 or 3 times a week.

I found a Snarl late last month. Finally. Now just Sludge is left.
-
Wow. Those look great! Kind of making me want to get a new Joe toy. It's been a while. When was the last time any of you bought anything GI Joe? Even something vintage?
-
Wow got lucky! I went in to Wal Mart two days ago to get something completely unrelated but of course checked the toy aisle. The Transformers section was practically empty except for one lonely Snarl just hanging there. So bizarre. It had a crease in the card but I don't care because I open mine anyways. Lucky day for me! Now if I can just find a Sludge I will have them all.
Unrelated note, what's up with this MISPSTeve guy spamming the Transformer's board? I went looking for this thread to post an update and it was already buried 3 or 4 pages deep!

Yeah I am on more than I would like. I work on a PC most of the day and the internet is a constant distraction. (This post is case in point.) I have gotten a bit better about my phone and social media though. It can get overwhelming, depressing, and just so distracting from the things I would rather be doing. I have my moments where I will post or thumb scroll facebook or Instagram, but I try not to obsess over it very much or dedicate TOO much time to it. I do enjoy messenger and texting as a way to keep in touch with friends. I would say I use that more than anything anymore.
Honestly the concept of "online" has become so abstract I don't even really know how to answer that. I mean if you mean sitting in a chair surfing the web, that's one thing. Playing online games? Or does having my phone in my pocket and getting and receiving messages from Facebook Messenger count?

Just this past week Grimlock has been popping up in Lexington everywhere. Meijer's had like 6 of them the other day. I lucked upon him months ago and never saw him again until last week. Last week I saw him in quantities at 3 stores.
So yeah, Hopefully!

I'll give it a chance. So far I have been mostly pleased with Netflix original content.

Anyone having any luck finding these last two dinobots? I have barely seen any of this wave here in KY. I think maybe 2 times I have seen a scraggling leftover on a peg that indicates this wave has at least made an appearance in my town. But for the most part every store I go to is just filled with Jazz and other pegwarmers from the previous wave. What gives?

OOH I bet FYE still has some I didn't think of that!

Howdy Blackmada!
Glad to see you are still around and doing well!

Oh that is neat! I would have never thought about checking Barnes and Nobles. Perhaps I will swing by there today and see what I find.

Does anybody here collect the ReACtion figures? I have seen them in stores several times and always thought they were great, but I never had a compelling reason to buy them. Just recently I got a shed that has allowed me to reclaim my garage as a play space so I have been trying to decorate it and get it set up with fun stuff. I found a perfect place where hanging a few Reaction figures would really fit the theme, so now I find myself as usual, late in the game trying to track them down.
What brick and mortar stores sell them, does anyone know?

Thanks for sharing Joe. Sounds like your father did a good job raising you. I wish the best for you and your dad. You will be in my thoughts as well.

Bring back more old style Joes. That's what I think people really want. But maybe I am being presumptuous. I have never gotten to go to a Joecon. I got to go to Botcon one year but that was because it was less than 5 miles from my house!

SPOILER ALERT AS WELL:
Hey wow! Thank you for the thoughtful write up! I too got to see Solo last week and had been meaning for the past few days to hop on here and talk about it some.
I also LOVED this movie. I dare say it my favorite Star Wars movie put out by Disney so far. The story is good, it is fairly well paced, well cast, and well acted. All the right stuff to make a good movie good.
But what really got me was all the fan fun it packed in for anyone who has ever invested some time into the Star Wars expanded Universe. That is one thing I have really been disappointed by the mainline Disney Star Wars films. Star Wars fans like to analyze, and discuss, and debate! We like mysteries and things popping up from other stories. Rian Johnson really kicked every Star Wars fan in the dick when he just took a runny dump on every plot plan and every mystery J.J. Abrams set the stage for in The Force Awakens.
But wow. Solo. One of the first movies to really blatantly make strong references to Prequel material. I don't care a lot for the prequels but they are there and forever a part of the Star Wars universe. So might as well at least night try to hide that or erase it. Aura Sing was mentioned. Tobias, pretty much this entire movie was a nod to expanded universe. The return of Darth Maul, what he had been up to, the crime gangs, Han in the empire, Wookies enslaved. It was so much geekly fun.
I too was studying the falcon. My first thought was "Ok then it must have been Lando flying the Falcon in the Prequels. But then I wondered, "Well then where was the escape pod at that time?' I guess not a direct contradiction because one could easily explain it was pretty much anywhere.
FUN MOVIE. Look forward to picking it apart on Blu-Ray.

Where is it this year? I'm so out of touch anymore.

Just getting back into collecting Transformers. I have been slowly rebuilding my G1, BW, and BM's collections. Then I got the fever and started buying Titans Return and Power of the Primes.
However, the other day I happened across Cyber Battalion Howl at a Walgreens and picked him up. I haven't decided if I am going to keep him. He doesn't really fit in well with the other Generations lines and I am not so sure I like him very much. He isn't bad. I just feel like that 18 bucks might have bought another Transformer that I might have liked better.
What do you guys think about the Cyber Battalion series?

Those are pretty awesome!

Oh yeah I forgot. I stopped by a kids clothes consignment shop looking for a training potty for my toddler and happened across two Mini Warriors, MW-06 Duneraker, and MW-08 Bushwacker both complete mint in box for 2.99 each.
BAZINGA!

I just got back into Toy Collecting at the start of this year. After a few vintage buys on Ebay I suddenly got that itch and discovered the Generations line has some really neat figures based on older characters. Since then I have gone a little bit crazy and picked up Blurr, Scourge, Cosmos, Beachcomber, Ravage, Seaspray, Grimlock, Slag, Swoop, Skrapnel, Wingspan and Cloudraker. My fiance got me Twinferno and Laserbeak and Soundwave, and Rumble for Valentines day. Because she is amazing.
Other than that late last year I rebought my original G1 Megatron from my friend I sold it to and that's when the fire was re-ignited. Soon to follow were G1 Optimus, G1 Grimlock, G1 Slag, G1 Soundwave with Ravage and Laserbeak. Back in the day I had a huge collection of Beast Machines and RiD so I bought a couple of lots on Ebay and got Bruticus, Shark-Byte, Tankor, Megatron, Blackarachnia, Cheetor, Rattrap, and Thrust.
I think maybe I should slow down a bit. LOL.

Sorry I am sure this has been discussed to death but I have been gone about 10 years or so. I have to say I really don't care for any of the changes or attempts they have made at new style figures. I think they look strange and oddly proportioned. Also I have spent hundreds of dollars collecting old style figures, why do I want new figures that don't really fit or look right with the collection?
I bought the new stuff for a while because I was holding on to a dream, but eventually I accepted I hated them and sold them all off and started just collecting vintage figures. There are still plenty I don't have.
Any one else feel this way?

I just logged in here for the first time in going on a decade. Used to be a big regular around the early 2000's. I have just recently gotten back into toy collecting after having to sell off most of my collection during hard times in a failed and horrible marriage. It's sort of surreal and sad to see what a ghost town GI Joe collecting has become.
Transformers Generations Sludge and Snarl - Why are they so hard to find?

And yesterday I stopped off randomly at a Walgreens and found Sludge! Finally I have completed my Power of the Primes Dinobot collection.
Whew!
