  1. Personally I would like to see NO more five packs. The single packs look better and you can pick the figures you want. Though I realize Hasbro is doing that, along with the comic packs in order to make you buy different repaints of the same figures in order to get the figures you actually want. I guess if you had to do the five packs, night force, tiger force and python patrol as well as some army builders would be a smart play...

I wonder who they will be. I have to say for the most part Hasbro is a really doing well to make the relevant characters in the line.

Well I for one would be one of the complainers because, I could see them doing 10 SE's, SS's and CC's along with a lot of repaints. I would like to see more original figures. For example, the first wave of comic packs in my opinion is a waste of money. I don't care if they reuse parts but, I would rather see 30 that were original characters than 80, with lots of five packs, trooper builders etc. I am excited that they want to push the line fully going forward which is good news.
  4. I didn't hear any mention of quick kick. I actually like quick kick, so i would be happy. I liked him better than all the later ninja crap. Like bushido, dojo and the rest of the clowns.
  5. Black V2 snake Eyes Baroness That means only 8 to choose from. hmmm.....

that makes more sense. 24 figures, a few vehicles and some comic packs. Maybe 2 five packs. This would be cool. I am happy with 24 single issue figures a year if they are done right, and three original figure comic packs, if warranted, like the twins....
  7. Any thoughts guys? Wave 5 __Snow Job 65356928932 __Snake Eyes (v1 from box set, black repaint) 65356928935 __Sgt Flash 65356928934 __Crimson Guard 65356928931 __Destro (v2, Iron Grenadiers) 65356928936 Wave 6, Spring 2008 __Cobra Commander (armored) 65356929251 __Rock n Roll 65356929252 __Torpedo 65356929253 Wave 7, 2008 __Spirit 65356798527 __Viper 65356798520 __Cobra HISS Driver __Tiger Force Flint __Major Bludd __Wild Bill I am happy with these 14 by the way. If most of the figures are going to be 82-87 then I would hope for these 10 Airborne Covergirl hawk 86 jinx tunnelrat Baroness copperhead eels BAT scrapiron if he looks cool like wild weasel and not crappy like the DTC version.

So i guess there are only 10 single pack figures to be excited about then. I wonder whom they will be. Also, Ace and wildweasel are new, so some of the comic packs will be new figures.

I agree, i don't want too many comic packs, plus I don't really need to buy 80 figures every year. Still this is great news, and when the movie comes out in 09 the line will be in full force. Watch for a new cartoon probably in 09 as well.

agreed 9 comic packs 3 waves of 3 comic packs makes more sense.....Does hasbro take back the license....

That sounds like a lot for one year. 18 * 2 = 36 comic pack figures in one year. 24 single pack figures 4 waves * 6 that sounds about right. 5 * 4 figures = 20 figures. That means a total of 80 figures in one year. Does this sound like usual Hasbro style. As a newer collector it seems to me like this seems kind of unreasonable for one year. Does starwars release this much in one year? I guess we will be getting a lot of SS, CC, and SE's and maybe another duke. Probably a lot of repaints as well. To be honest I would be happy with 25-30 individual figures a year. It makes it more special when a new figure comes out. There are probably only about 75-80 characters that I would want anyhow.... Wow! 80 in one year, hopefully someone can confirm this.
  12. I forgot, the main thing I like about this line is they are doing mostly figures from 82-86.... I think Storm shadow is the only figure after that time. I mean there might be about 10 figures that I want after those years but probably about 80+ that I would like to own from 82-86.
  13. I can understand why people would be pissed about the re-tooling. They feel each figure should be unique. I wouldn't mind that, but its expensive for hasbro, and probably not feasible. As for all the figures not being vintage accurate, fair enough, some like it some hate it. I think hasbro felt that they could improve upon some of the weaker figures. Firefly i don't mind the sweater....he still looks bad ass. I also like zartan where he doesn't look like a belly dancer. What do you guys think of the new comic packs?
  14. I like ace and wild weasel. Ace's helmet is a bit iffy for me, but overall both are pretty cool, and since they were both key characters, I am picking up this set.
  15. Hawk 86 Covergirl Airborne Jinx Falcon shockwave clutch zap Quick Kick low light outback tunnel rat law and order chuckles Scrap Iron Copperhead BATS Eels Snow serpent iron grenadier October guard Billy Kwinn Scarface - single card Dr Venom General Flagg
  16. Everyone is talking about figures they like or dislike but what about the line? Does everyone like the new molding? How about the vintage packaging? And the fact that they are picking the best versions for each figure? What are your thoughts? I really like the line. Though I am kind of annoyed that they are releasing some of the figures in two packs. I mean for the twins it makes sense, but I guess I am going to have to break down and buy the ace wild weasel as well. I wish they would stick with single packs. Also, I don't like all the repaints but I understand why hasbro is doing it. It saves money, and people will generally buy a whole wave so if 1 out of 5 is a repaint they can make higher profits. I just wish they would do more repaints like the destro, or flint one over the zillions of Se's and SS's. How popular do you guys think this line will get? do you think they will get vehicles in the stores again? lastly, how do you guys think this line will affect the vintage or some of the lines like valour vs venom, comic 3 packs etc?
  17. Prices seem pretty decent here: google 'action figure protectors' cool, so would you recommend the original starcase? what about for the comic packs or a figure like roadblock with a bigger bubble?
  18. I don't mind the grey on the officer...but regardless great job on both they look good.
  19. I was wondering about this as well. 1. Does anyone have a link where to buy these? 2. Does anyone have a picture to show of what a figure in a star case looks like? thanks in advance.
  20. That viper is going to look awesome....Spirit is going to be good as well. The other two i will pick up but, don't really care about...More stoked about battle armour cc, rock and roll and torpedo....
  21. The Twins 10/10 I will by this set for sure.... The crimson guard and scarface....maybe SE and SS cool but probably not... I wonder what the price will be if not individually? The twins were exactly as I expected...this line is going to be huge...especially when the movie comes out...

  23. I am just mildly baffled, stupefied, and a bit mind-boggled by this response. The SoCal Noks are a good bunch of guys who have a common interest and look out for one another. They don't know you from Adam, but Kill invited you to come check 'em out and find more people in your area with like interests. This was a very spoiled brat response. A network of friends and collector pals is what its all about. I don't have more than a couple of buddies in my area that actually collect, but we look out for each other. We don't clear the pegs, but if I need an item and so do they I buy one for all of us (if available.) Perhaps you should re-read his response and not take it as a threat on 'your' turf. It was an offer to help you get things - in equal trades and/or at cost no less. You get what you want and aren't paying a premium for a finders fee. So much for hospitality. Sheesh. LMAO!!! I don't know either party, but the dreadnok guy seemed like he was being inviting....The other guy must be joking, that response can't be real....
