  1. kraven looks like John Leguizamo... anyway, 5" or 6" doesn't matter to me... if this line looks like this when released, i'm skipping it. not like i needed more of any of those characters anyway.
  2. nossir... it's that the masked and unmasked were all packed evenly in that wave, and more people wanted the masked versions... so even though the unmasked were variants, the masked were harder to find. at least that was so in my area, but in any case i'm not surprised you never saw any masked versions.
  3. looks SO much better than the regular head. see if you can give her white lipstick and silver eyeshadow!
  4. Spidey Origins: SMO is very much a kid's line, but it's a kid's line that knows it might have an adult audience. the metallic finishes on all the characters annoyed me, and i'm glad that i didn't need any of those versions of Spidey because I was NOT gonna get these. however, i did think it was cool that they rereleased some villains that some might have missed, like the ML8 Ock and Mysterio (even though I think that Rhino always was and always will be abominable). the repaint that i thought was actually relevant and good was Demogoblin, who i got, and i really liked that they made a figure of Iron Spidey. while i wasn't even close to getting most of this line i do like it in general... the Spideys in my area are actually being sold, as are the villains, so i don't have much beef with it even though i'm not so interested in it. Legends: I will admit that i really only wanted this set for Annihilus, and only resolved to get it after i learned that getting the F4 Movie version was going to be pretty much impossible. even though early on i said i'd love Frost and Banshee figures to add to my X-collection and Hercules to add to my Avengers/Civil War collection, when i first saw them i was gonna pass. I'm content to have added them to my collection, but the other three (Hulk, X3 Beast, and Ult IM) just irritated me... reason #1 is, i'm not about having lots of FIGURES so much as I'm about having lots of CHARACTERS. repeats really bug me, especially in BAF lines. i will grant that some like Movie figures (which i do) and some don't. some like Ultimates figures and some don't (like me). and some like to have figures based on an actual appearance of a character (which I do). while I think Planet Hulk is a figure based on a relevant appearance of his i don't object to it out of context... i just wish i didn't have to get him for the BAF. in this instance, it was too many repeat characters for a maiden wave. if they'd put these same characters over THREE waves i wouldn't have minded as much... but as it stands i have all the VERSIONS of those characters that i want and really wish we could have gotten some new folks. i'm just glad that wave 2 has (predominantly) relevant appearances of characters i actually want (except Ult. Wolverine). Ghost Rider: funnily enough, i've been most impressed with this line over others so far. they look good, pose well, and the line has lots of characters instead of pulling a "Spidey 2". yes, there are lots of Ghost Rider figures, but there are also several other characters. i have no objections whatsoever to this line.
  5. god i hate that attitude that is far too common in this country, the cops aren't the bad guys, they aren't all out to keep the poor man down and to line their own pockets with bribes and kick backs, sure there are bad ones, theres always going to be bad people. but i'd say a good 80-90% of the entire police force are there because they genuinly want to help people and to make the world a better place. they might not be batman, but they're still heroes all the same and for that matter, if we had a sizeable population of people who were masked vigilantes, chances are that there would be just as many bad eggs there as there are dirty cops... maybe even more because the very concept of being a masked vigilante is about doing whatever you feel you should (or CAN) do. which is basically why applying such a thing in a practical, real-world sense is absurd.
  6. OK, so the first sightings of the Hasbro stuff in my area was maybe the week after Christmas. here it is 2 weeks after the first local sighting and I found... Ghost Rider with the Hellcycle Johnny Blaze Blackheart Scarecrow Caretaker Vengeance a full set of Annihilus Iron Spidey Demogoblin ...or in other words, EVERYTHING of theirs that i was wanting. Toybiz could never make such a boast. whatever else you can say about Hasbro, at least distribution isn't bad.
  7. check out my Haves list and see what you like, I'm actually trying to get rid of a lot of older stuff.
  8. i just found the 6" motorcycle one that i wasnt sure existed i really like it, i think the blue wash is neat and in my little fantasy world i tell myself that it's a nod and a throwback to the original Ghost Rider whose jumpsuit was blue... so that GR stands as my official movieverse GR, and the Chain Attack GR is my official Johnny Blaze all in all i like this line, but i've yet to find a Caretaker, who i think is, along with Scarecrow, the must-haves for ML lovers as they're characters we havent seen yet in ML. But I like all the figures i've gotten
  9. That is the only time for me as well, lol yup, that's what happened with my Mecha Hulk
  10. overall i loved this wave, i really don't have complaints beyond how hard the chases were to find... and still are...
  11. while we're on the subject of the actual SIZE of a BAF... didn't it occur to anyone that the BAFs we're getting are smaller probably because the packaging is smaller? i found my first HML's yesterday and noticed that there's far less space inside the packaging, and the first thought in my mind was that's why the future BAFs are gonna be smaller
  12. Venom vs. Iron Man: Iron Man. All he needs is a sonic burst or a superheated repulsor beam and Venom's toast Thor vs. Apocalypse(Thors a God): Apocalypse... he basically can't be injured, whereas we've seen that Thor can be hurt and needs time to heal Bullseye vs. Longshot: ...dunno. Longshot could sway probability in his favor to deflect Bullseye's projectiles, but Bullseye literally has perfect aim... one might get through at some point. Moonknight vs. DareDevil: Daredevil probably... if for no other reason than his senses are better than sight and he's got more powerful martial arts training than most people in the MU Pyro vs. Human Torch: Human Torch. Johnny is pretty much impervious to damage from any flame, and can not only control flame but also create and absorb it, whereas Pyro can only control flames. Also, Torch is invincible against pretty much any flame, but Pyro can only resist flames that he himself controls. All in all, Torch is just the more powerful flame-wielder. Falcon vs. Vulture: Falcon probably... he's younger and faster and his powers stem from cosmic sources. And he has Redwing as an extra set of eyes, giving him an advantage over Vulture. Cap vs. Punisher: Probably Punisher. Cap would keep trying to disable Punisher without killing him, while Punisher would keep going until Cap was dead. Namor vs. Ghost Rider: Dunno how you could really compare the two, but it'd be a cool match. Namor has Ghost Rider far outclassed for strength, but Ghost Rider's abilities are mystic in origin... all he has to do is force Penance on Namor and whatever pain Namor has caused others would cripple him. However, Namor's will is so strong he could probably work against it. I'd call it a draw. Night Crawler vs. Spiderman: Well Nightcrawler can be literally anywhere in a fight, and if it came down to it all Nightcrawler would have to do is 'port him 300 feet into the air straight up above anything that Spidey could web onto. However Nightcrawler might not be able to lay a hand on Spidey because of Spidey's danger sense warning him where Kurt might pop up next. I'd call it another draw. Ironman vs. Magneto: Dude. Magneto.
  13. i've seen them a lot more often... but i got mine a long time ago when they were still HTF
  14. so is there no 6" scale bike for GR? i saw the Icon-style one, a smaller ripcord one that had an admittedly good 4.5 or 5 inch scale GR figure, and a smaller still one, but there's no bike that fits the 6" figures? weeeeeeaaaaaak.
  15. So long as the 6" scale lasts I'll continue to pick up what I like. I say "as long as it lasts" because i thought it was said that after a couple waves of the new ML, "classics" style lines and movie lines they're making the transition to 5", and i have too much junk as is WITHOUT starting in on a new scale, lol. while i really only want the Herc, Emma, and Sean from the new series I, i also really want Annihilus so as before, i'm still hooked by the BAF concept as I was with Toybiz's lines. and in wave II while I REALLY don't need more Wolverine, i like the lineup there too. unless the Marvel Heroes line comes out with characters/character versions I want, i'll skip it. and i've been impressed so far with about half of Spidey Origins and MOST of Ghost Rider (even though I haven't found the Origin figures I want yet). so yeah... if they don't change the scale or style of the figures, the Marvel property still gets my buck same as always.
