All of their new stuff is just slightly out of scale with their older stuff. That Wonder Girl is a huge letdown. No way can I display her next to my other Titans. I'm calling it good with Mattel. Also, Multiverse rings up at $10 at my Target. Regular price, apparently. All they have is 3/5 of the Clayface wave. You know, the wave that came out one year ago and is just now showing up....
  2. They're making some strides lately but there's still room for improvement. I love their Aquaman movie figures and their new line with TV Flash and Wonder Woman is promising, but it still seems their stuff comes out at a snail's pace. My Targets are just getting Clayface wave figures. That's a one year old wave!
  3. I bought a Mezco Aquaman and a Mafex Dark Knight Joker recently. I seem to gravitate toward high end DC stuff. Marvel Legends, I feel are on par with those pricey imports, but DC does not have a toy producer--be it Mattel or DC Collectibles--that is comparable to Hasbro's quality. All the same, Mattel made a pretty good Darkseid BAF so I just have to keep reminding myself I have it and be happy.
  4. I have not yet gone THAT price for THAT scale. Yet. And in a perfect world I'll keep it that way. I've been dipping into the $60ish figures lately, a little here and there with Mezco, Figuarts, and Mafex and all for what I feel is a very good reason. I don't want to go down that slippery slope, though.
  5. I have to stop looking at reviews of this one. $180 is way too steep, and I've been gravitating more and more to this high end stuff lately. I have to cut myself off!
  6. I just saw your top ten Marvel Legends, erivera. Half I agreed with and half I was thinking, "WTF"? But that's the fun of it.
  7. Over Christmas break, instead of Christmas movies, my wife had an itch to watch Stranger Things! Go figure. I wonder if this will be the last season? I love this show but I think half the charm is the kids, and they're gonna be getting up there in age. They grow up fast!
  8. My nomination was BS Gammorean Guard, but I also have my eye on OR have preordered a few others in this category: Neca TMNT, Figuarts Hulk, and Mezco Iron Man. Any of these could likely get my vote, but I went with GG just because he's the one I actually have right now. Great figure!
  9. I've been watching a lot more of Robo lately as well as D_amazing and erivera94, I think they all do a great job on their reviews. For this one I just fell back on the guy I've been watching the longest. Always does thorough, detailed reviews with tons of comparisons. Always very helpful, Shartimus Prime.

Round 1 Voting - Toy Line Of The Year

I’m going with the Black Series. Yes, Marvel Legends is as good as ever, but the BS has made improvements that’s got me excited about the line again.

Round 1 Voting - Toy Company Of The Year

Impossible is more like it. Considering most of the other toy companies in the running all specialize in high end imports. Hasbro delivers figures of the same (if not better) quality, more of them, and at a fraction of the cost. Those are some great toy companies listed, but Hasbro has this figured out.
  12. Two things I don't get: Why is it a "Netflix original series" when it appeared on another platform first? Why does it say "globally" if the US and China won't be getting it? That's not global. Am I missing something?

I got my early Christmas present from my wife: Hot Toys BvS Wonder Woman. I LOVE this piece! I agonized a long time over this one or the Justice League version comparing youtube video after youtube video of the two. Originally I was going to go with the JL version. But I came upon one video that had close ups of both their heads and darned if I didn't think the BvS was slightly better....a little more accurate to Gal Gadot. My wife looked at the video too and she confirmed it. I went with the BvS. Luckily one LCS still had one in stock and I got $25 off sticker price for it. In hand, this thing is awesome and I'm completely happy with it. My fantasy cinematic Big Three is now complete. Now I just need to decide if she displays with them or my other Wonder Woman figures? Hmmmmm.......
  14. I'd like to get this but I hate when they make their eyeballs always looking off to one side. Why?
  15. Star Wars Black Series Gamorrean Guard. Hasbro has been making figures that are every bit on par with high end imports and this guy is a shining example. Sculpt, articulation, paint apps are all there. Great incorporation of soft goods, perfect selection of weapons. He's $10 more than your average SW figure and worth every penny.
