  1. I was excited until I saw the price tag. There is no way in the world these are worth $30 bucks(include shipping). They aren't nearly as detailed and sturdy as the MOTUC which barely justifies that price tag and if I don't believe DCUC is worth 15 dollars neither does the MM.

Heck most of them are repaints or switching out of pre-existing parts. The only two that I'm the least bit tempted to get is the Jail Cell Joker which is an all new sculpt and Two Face. They should have started out with these rather than Scarecrow or Sonar eyes. I honestly think the sales won't be good.

So, Matty will start with sonar and scarecrow!?!?! GREAT!!! It gives me time to save up for the ones I really want

  2. I thought of doing the same thing with the extra heads I have around. Trim Wolverine´s head, chop off Forge´s pony tail, repaint /resculpt some more generic agents...it´s gonna be a lot of money to get a good SHIELD squad.

  3. 2 pks are supposed to be 1 every quarter, so I would guess the dates would be;

    Starfire Adam Strange = Mar.

Ultra man Vs. Alex Luthor = June

    Sinestro Corps = Sept.

    Animal Instincts = Dec.

I guess the Wonder Twins pack don´t count as part of this "every quarter" schedule right? Or is it going to count as a SDCC Exclusive through Matty?

  4. Sinestro Corps Matty Two Pack

    Dark Knight Movie Masters

Beast Boy, Joker, Man-Bat and Power Girl from 10

    ALL wave 11

thank you very much!! can Matty Collector hold orders? I don´t see why we should pay shipping for one figure or pack a month, when we can save on shipping by getting 4 or 5 figs in one shippment. . .

p.s. (forgot wave 9, upcoming ML two packs, and possible future favorite 2 packs)

    LOTA MONEY!

  5. Thx for the advice Arrow.

I ask because I´ve searched on the internet how are they done, materials, minimum of figuresrequired to start production and nada.I thought some guys around here knew of a site, or read an article or had knowledge on the subject. If members provided info, I would investigate said info.

Sides, I need to know how to start, more or less, cause factories may have different ways to do stuff, so, I would have to adopt their way of working.

Still, thanks for answering and ur wishes, man.

    You have found nothing????

I'm sorry, but a quick search on a popular search engine gives me 210,000,000 results. There's gotta be the start of something in all that. It'll be like peeling back the layers of an onion, one tidbit of info will lead to more info.

Since they started publication in the early 1990's, both Tomart's Action Figure Digest and Lee's Action Figure News and Toy Review ( well, known toy hobby/industry magazines) have had several articles over the years on the production of action figures, from concept to shipping.

All I can tell you is that everyone wants/likes to shortcut the dreary process of researching stuff like this, but no-one is going to be able to supply you with the answers you need.

Its simply going to be the case of you pouring through hundreds of books or magazines, and probably thousands of web articles, and calling up suppliers and service providers to get your questions answered.

After all, if it was easy.....a lot of other people would be doing it too!

Not "nothing" really...but what I´ve found and read hasn´t helped a lot with what I´m trying to do. I´m not looking for an exact recipee, but something like "idea, sketching, sculpting, painting and your done" hasn´t been useful either.

The info you´ve provided, it´s a start, I´m checking them on the net, cause, sadly, where I live now, those magazines aren´t disitributed. I´ll contact local suppliers as soon as I have better knowledge on the subject.

And what you´re doing is what I was looking for, some feedback and advice. I´ll start with those magazines you suggest, and one thing will lead to another. Again, I appreciate ur answering and concern, you´re one of those board members someone can take seriously.

  7. I´ve been , from some time ago, thinking of making an action figure line of my own. I know what I want to produce, and have some rough estimates of how much does it cost, but i don´t know which plastic is used, what kind of paint, what kind of materials are the protos and the actual figures made.

I live in Mexico, so I would have to manufacture them here, but I would like to know moreabout the subject, so the factory knows what I want to produce specifically.

If this takes off, I will constantly come here for feedback.

Any help on this subject will be HIGHLY appreciated. Manufacturers, materials, plastic injectors, molds, everything is welcomed

  8. I like the Multiple Man, but they need a STRONG character to help carry him, especially if since people want to army build off of him.

I would love to see Sebastian Shaw or Strong Guy as a pack-in addition for Madrox.

As for Warpath great re-paint! Can we get Sunspot, Frenzy (Cargill), or a human sized Sentinel Prime please???

As for Lady Bullseye, she seems cool, but please not another Daredevil!!!! Give us a villain that has not been made like Grey Gargoyle, Terrax, Moonstone, or even a new version of Black Cat.

We really need some new Legends without a whole bunch of re-paints.

They also need to release all those figs they never released like Silver Samurai, Aurora, Magneto, and Dave Cockrum Storm.

Yes, please, ANOTHER taller, bulkier better done Daredevil. DCUC make mature heros figures look like teens.

  9. You can get sheva online, at Big Bad Toy Store, but I´ve read some reviews and she´s not something worth getting UNLESS ur a big RE fan or she goes on sale.

Great stories, Pooda, you combine reality and fantasy greatly!!

  10. don´t you think the scalper issue could be solved if e-tailers did carry WM exclusive waves, like BBTS, they carried the Target Red Hulk wave and part of the Ares wave. I know it´s a different company (Hasbro) but it demonstrates that exclusive supermarket exclusive are not that, well...exclusive.

uh.. no. BBTS doesn't "carry" those exclusives as you think. They have toyhunters go out and scavenge their area stores and bring them to BBTS for sale.

As for exclusives. I don't mind them at all... and often times they are a necessity to get more product in our hands

Well, they should keep doing that, their prices where not "scalper" high, IMO. they wer reasonable prices.
