    It's a boy

Wait, so it's still mint in package? Congrats. I laughed so hard when I read this, and yes baby is mint due date is around March 3-10 they are a little confused about an exact date, we just had the ultra sound yesterday, and based on the babies weight she is farther along than we thought, or he is going to be huge Congratulations!!! What´s gonna be his name?? My wife and I are expecting our second child - due around March 11th! We have a son that's just about to turn 2 and it is the best thing that my wife and I have ever done. It's not all fun and games - having a child is perhaps the hardest thing you will do in your life - but the rewards are far greater than the hardship. Good luck and best wishes!
  3. I did purchase the Gotham City Thug Joker, but I keep wondering why on EARTH is Mattel still insisting on including those stupid "evidence bags" with the stupid over-sized "mask"? Why don't they include REAL accessories. For instance, an unmasked Joker head (like the Hot Toys version), blue duffel bag, or at least a gun? It's funny that I read on MattyCollector in the "about me" section, where "Matty" states that he loves and knows toys better than anyone. Their lack of knowledge in the accessories department tells otherwise. If they sell these figures for $28.00 a pop, they sure as hell better include real accessories or not include them at all. Those cheap additions cheapen the overall (collector, not monetary value, if you get my drift) value of the figures themselves. I TOTALLY AGREE!!! The bag and the small machine gun he used in the movie should have been accesories the figure needed. The swapable head would have been nice too, but that´s a lot to ask. But it´s a figure I like, and I intend to find those accesories sooner or later.
  4. When you´re rich, you don´t care...sadly, that´s not my case, hahaha, but getting used to pay those prices in Mexico for new shoess and head sculpt that make the figure look different, plus, shipping divided between me and my pal, doesn´t sound that bad.
  5. I´m not giving up. Just taking the "Cool if I find it, cool if I don´t " attitude.
  6. bought two jokers, two ghostbusters and 1 adam/starfire pack, i hope they arrive soon
  7. As soon as anyone knows or finds something in San Antonio / Austin area, please pm me!!
  8. LUCKY! At Christmas time, my walmart got a bunch of the Fear Toxin Batmans. Never saw a Bruce Wayne one tho. Yeah I might go back and see if they are still there maybe someone on here wants them. I thought about the bruce wayne but was low on cash at the time but I don't care a thing about fear toxin I guess they worth something for us who loved the film, and the meaning of a movie so relevant, becoming almost an instant classic in superhero movies and pop culture as well, and this figures take that essence, from both "begins" and "dark knight".
  9. Def, gonna get it. Btw, it doesn´t go on sale this monday, it´s this thursday (oct 15). Great, that´s how I´m gonna get ray and joker in one shippment.
  10. using the status thingie for the first time

  11. lol, you're not kidding. It is the result of worst and cheap material for buy more and more figures, Mattel suck. Mexican Superman... no se como tomar ese comentario. I guess he looks like a tanned latin version...don´t take it personal.
  12. Any reports from Texas??? San Antonio / Austin area??? They look awesome, specially man bat!!
  13. nice punisher there man!and great shots as well!!! welcome to the boards!
  14. So, Matty will start with sonar and scarecrow!?!?! GREAT!!! It gives me time to save up for the ones I really want
  15. I´m excited as well, but $20 for a single figure, is something I must think twice, cause I´d like to get the yellow lantern pack, $40 plus shipping to mexico, plus 100% of local taxes...lota money
  16. I thought of doing the same thing with the extra heads I have around. Trim Wolverine´s head, chop off Forge´s pony tail, repaint /resculpt some more generic agents...it´s gonna be a lot of money to get a good SHIELD squad.
  17. I´m going to wait to get ghostbusters, yellow lanterns and dk movie masters with one single shipping. Can´t afford 9 bucks everytime a new exclusive comes out.

    DCU Timeline

I guess the Wonder Twins pack don´t count as part of this "every quarter" schedule right? Or is it going to count as a SDCC Exclusive through Matty?

anyone know aprox. date release for Sinestro Corps two pack?
  20. Corner Store Comics set is cheaper than BBTS, but I prefer BBTS; they´re better organized and structured than CSC, plus, they get figs first most of the time
  21. Voted Raven. Second would have been Marvel Jr., then Toyman. I really hope that...Geo Force or whatever his name is,doesn´t get produced. Don´t know anything about the character, but he looks lame.
  22. Sinestro Corps Matty Two Pack Dark Knight Movie Masters Beast Boy, Joker, Man-Bat and Power Girl from 10 ALL wave 11 thank you very much!! can Matty Collector hold orders? I don´t see why we should pay shipping for one figure or pack a month, when we can save on shipping by getting 4 or 5 figs in one shippment. . . p.s. (forgot wave 9, upcoming ML two packs, and possible future favorite 2 packs) LOTA MONEY!
  23. You have found nothing???? I'm sorry, but a quick search on a popular search engine gives me 210,000,000 results. There's gotta be the start of something in all that. It'll be like peeling back the layers of an onion, one tidbit of info will lead to more info. Since they started publication in the early 1990's, both Tomart's Action Figure Digest and Lee's Action Figure News and Toy Review ( well, known toy hobby/industry magazines) have had several articles over the years on the production of action figures, from concept to shipping. All I can tell you is that everyone wants/likes to shortcut the dreary process of researching stuff like this, but no-one is going to be able to supply you with the answers you need. Its simply going to be the case of you pouring through hundreds of books or magazines, and probably thousands of web articles, and calling up suppliers and service providers to get your questions answered. After all, if it was easy.....a lot of other people would be doing it too! Not "nothing" really...but what I´ve found and read hasn´t helped a lot with what I´m trying to do. I´m not looking for an exact recipee, but something like "idea, sketching, sculpting, painting and your done" hasn´t been useful either. The info you´ve provided, it´s a start, I´m checking them on the net, cause, sadly, where I live now, those magazines aren´t disitributed. I´ll contact local suppliers as soon as I have better knowledge on the subject. And what you´re doing is what I was looking for, some feedback and advice. I´ll start with those magazines you suggest, and one thing will lead to another. Again, I appreciate ur answering and concern, you´re one of those board members someone can take seriously.
  24. Thx for the advice Arrow. I ask because I´ve searched on the internet how are they done, materials, minimum of figuresrequired to start production and nada.I thought some guys around here knew of a site, or read an article or had knowledge on the subject. If members provided info, I would investigate said info. Sides, I need to know how to start, more or less, cause factories may have different ways to do stuff, so, I would have to adopt their way of working. Still, thanks for answering and ur wishes, man.
  25. I´ve been , from some time ago, thinking of making an action figure line of my own. I know what I want to produce, and have some rough estimates of how much does it cost, but i don´t know which plastic is used, what kind of paint, what kind of materials are the protos and the actual figures made. I live in Mexico, so I would have to manufacture them here, but I would like to know moreabout the subject, so the factory knows what I want to produce specifically. If this takes off, I will constantly come here for feedback. Any help on this subject will be HIGHLY appreciated. Manufacturers, materials, plastic injectors, molds, everything is welcomed
