  1. I like the design, but it would have look completely badass if they kept the original costume. I´m fine when comic book costumes don´t translate that well into real life costumes, specially when the design includes underwear, but in the case of spider-man, it´s a costume that wouldn´t have needed to be drastically changed for a live action adaptation, cause it works in both comics and real life. I wish they kept the spider as it originally was. The suit explanation being so complex...mmmm...it´s a 2012 release, same as Avengers, maybe they will link it to Stark or somn. Dunno, just a theory.
  2. They are 12" in size. Here's a quick run-down of the common action figure scales: 1/6th scale = 12 inch figures like the big GIJOE, Sideshow and Hot Toys figures. 1 1/12th scale = 6 inch figures, like Marvel Legends, or DC Universe Collection. 1 1/18th scale = 3.74 to 4 inch figures, like the small GIJOEs, Marvel Universe, and DC Universe Infinite Heroes. Finally got it, thx man!
  3. what the F#$ are the 1/6 figures? 6 inch, 12 inch?
  4. I loved it! The animation is fluent, the style is very simple and dynamic, the costumes rock (except for Superboy). I can´t wait to watch the next episodes. After watching it, i started with Avengers and I must say I got dissappointed with this show...not so good animation, drawing style is too cartoony....the music sounds cheap...but the story is interesting.
  5. tomar is a 6 inch fig. darn....then ipm dissapointed again...I hope I improve my customizing skills by the time those figs hit retail, I ca repaint that ugly face
  6. Thx shokker, have a great time!!
  7. 4 inch uh? COOOOL!!!! I thought those were the 6" movie figures, and was soooo disappointed. I believe the GLMM are or will be sculpted by the horsemen, just like they did with DKRMM
  8. The face needs a looot more work!
  9. Thx for the images man, but, if the figure has new double jointed articulation, why don´t show them in action!!? ;-)
  10. I wouldn´t get them because I don´t dig their costumes, really and they´re just multi ratial made up characters who´s existance was only show based. They are so whatever, that they didn´t make it into comics, and if they did, I STILL wouldn´t get them. I´ve skipped true DC characters in the past, so this would be even easier. Golden Pharaoh for example is a figure that I find visually appealing and cool looking, even if it wasn´t in the comics. Unlike Harley who became an instant classic, I´d be glad if they tossed all these made up SP characters in one wave so we could carry on with more characters. I respect SP fans wanting this figures, but those are my reasons for not getting them.
  11. Sorry guys, but like DarthFoley,I feel the same about all those characters. That would be a WASTE of slots on this wave. Maybe Bizarro /Supes could be the figure I would get, but I highly doubt it: how do they plan to make the reverse "S"?? variant body?? I think the bizarro supes idea doesn´t work if it´s not accurate.
  12. Maybe Batman wasn't a good example, but I still feel there is a place for double joints. You gotta be kidding!!! Batman is one of the most "gymnastic" type characters in the DC Universe, and you want to deny him the double jointed articulation!!!??? really!?!? c´mon :-)
  13. Second 29....Star Sapphire symbol on helmet...first time I´ve seen it after watching the trailer a few times.
  14. I second that! I'd also love to see a Helen Slater's Supergirl figure from HT. The movie sucks bad, but she was pretty good in that role. Hot Toys Superman for me, please. Haven´t seen it, but I know their quality.
  15. Not me,I only judge the look of things with this sort of clips, and to me , the suit looks like a CGI Photoshopped suit: the "mask" doesn´t lookwith depth, texture, etc.It just looks like a green colored piece of skin. Hope this is not the final result.
  16. Sweet lookin figs, but there´s one problem: are they going back to the single jointed articulation? Hope this are just protos and stick to the newer articulated body.
  17. This is what you guys don't seem to get. The reason people want to connect a new Superman movie to the Donner films is to avoid having to tell Clark's extensive background. The way to avoid this is by linking it to the original set of movies. Superman is not a character where his story is told through flashbacks.....there is no mystery and secret for his story and its always been treated as such. It makes sense in a film to show Batman's story in flashbacks because it sets a mood. Batman Begins broke that mold but then again that is the difference, like I said Superman's origin has been done and very well while Batman's origins have NEVER been done on the screen, or in detail like Batman Begins. Also liking Donner's story to Schumacher story is just plain silly and absurd. Donner set the forever precedent with superhero films...aprecedent that holds to this day and at many places still superceeds some of the crap thrown at us today. Incredible Hulk, for example, it was a reboot, and they told the origin story during the opening credits, leaving the rest of the film for story development (they´re error was starting the film in South America, where the first one ended, so people thought it was hulk 2). Snyder can start the movie with caos on krypton, minutes before its explosion, people running, yelling, stuff falling apart, and Jor-El carrying kal el while running to the escaping pod, then some words, maybe from the first film "I give you my son, Kal El" making reference to the first Donner films...cut....opening credits with young clark helping in the farm, lifting a tractor, etc, etc credits end, and you can start the film!
  18. NOOOOO!!! Please, nooo!!! Stop doing that "connection" to the Donner films!!! that was 20 years ago??? It´s cool to honor the old movies, or directors. That could be done by dedicating a scene in the new film, like the helicopter / Lois sequence and people would know and say "Nice homage to Donner´s film", but connecting it!!!??? Then this is not REBOOT. They need to start from scratch, like Batman Begins did!! Make him fight Brainiac, Metallo, Bizarro, or Luthor in the worst case with his armor or write a three part srtoy which could end with part of Doomsday´s saga. He needs a villain who can step up to Supes and we certinly want to see new characters!
  19. I´d love that!! Articulated, of course....not like that huge SDCC statue.
  20. I´m passing as well. I´m just interested in Tomar Re, but he has wrong hands, so i´ll wait for a corrected or single version of the character, and Gardner is a sweet figure ,but I´m not gonna spend in three other figures I don´t want. Sure both of this will the light in GLC down te road at some point.
  21. According to Mattel´s SDCC power point presentatation, it says 2011. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/photo.php?pid=4562663&id=57309659843&ref=fbx_album
  22. Cool. I hope rumors start in the next few weeks, to have an idea of which figures are planned.
