It's all to do with the temperature I think. Oh, and thanks DP, I wasn't too pleased with it at first but after a while it started growing on me. Now I have these cool power--Alright I'll stop.

Thanks! Yeah I've seen a few repaints of the Hasbro version. It looks alot better when it's black, but when I saw him in the movie I was confused as to how all the toys and even the sideshow statues got it sort of wrong. The one in the film has alot more of the McFarlane look to it, I think.. (I guess it helps when McFarlane provides the initial sketches for his movie design ).

lol thanks man! Today (couldn't resist) I painted his head. But it wasn't the final paints Im using, it was just to see if it looks any better with color. It does, I think! I've taken the paint off now and have started doing all the random webbing on it.

Thanks people! I didn't think of Luke Cage until I happened to pass one in a store so decided to pic it up. It needed some carving/sanding to get it toned down and slightly more skinny, but I think it works. Should be doing alot more tommorrow!

I'd buy them for sure. I'd prefer it if they were in the same scale as the other SW figures though, but if they were 6 inches I don't think I could resist. A Boba Fett would be too cool to pass up on.

I don't mind Maggot so much if the lower half of his uniform was a different color.

Finally managed to get a Dremel the other day so after a few years of staring at other people's customs and wishing I could do the same I started work on a ML Luke Cage I had. I think the Hasbro Venom sucks and I've wanted to make my own for quite some time. These are only WIPs at the moment but hopefully I'll be getting more done soon! Here you can see I've just been doing the costume's texture. I'll be adding the webs on at the final stage of sculpting. Edit: Here's the latest WIP shot. I've marked in the general shapes of the face now that the scales on the head are done. Since this is my first custom I'm taking the easy route and basing the sculpt on his face when he's just talking rather than the screaming/open mouth look. Who knows, I may make an additional head sometime. Finished most of the head sculpting today. Just need to add more onto his jaw/chin and then it's onto the webbing for his head....unless I leave that 'till last, I dunno.

Yup! I may upload some WIP shots. I'm quite proud of the way it's turning out considering it's my first shot at customising ever. Well, apart from Stikfas but those are so small compared. Makes a nice change to work big. Huzzah! Finally made a Photobucket account and now have WIP pics of him.

Porcupine. The fat costume he has with the green mask. Although I do love the character because he's so crappy.

I'm making a Spidey 3 Venom. But one to my liking so that it looks more like the one from the film!
