  1. I went back to HK and I have only Wonderman and Vengenance so far. I was happy with Vengenance and it looks like the old GR toyline one. I dunno what all the fuzz was about. Wonderman was ok. I asked around and found what seemed like a deal, 480 HKD, which translates to 61 bucks USD, for all 8 figures. My question is, is it worth it just for that Ultron, Taskmaster, and SW?
  2. I have so far Guyver I. Gigantic Guyver is my next target, maybe an Archanfel later on. To get you an idea. Some might complain about the color, i think it's just right. Guyver I is like.... Marvel Legends height while most others are SIC or 8 inch height. Overall, the mixed texture of armor and bio-wires are executed in this figure. Head - nicely sculpted, with i think a light reflection paint on the eyes. Not bad. Body - the two chestplates open for the Smasher. The smashers are nice and green with two clear "bra" bubbles covering them. a mid torso joint also. Nicely shows the gravity emitter on his belly. Arm - separate piece for the should pads. nice range of motion for the arms. The blades moves two. One BIG DRAWBACK, is the twig-like thin peg for the interchangeable arms and blades. Why not ball-jointed wrist joint and use this extremely easily breakable types of joint is beyond me. Legs - Thighs made of rubbery material that gives it the flexibility and texture. Again, Ball-joints not a thing for Max Watanabe, huh? The ankle movement is superb and joints aren't exposed. In HK here, Guyver I is only like about.... 20 something bucks. I personally like the figure. If you are an MOC-MIBer, the plasticbox is really cool. If you are an opener like me, get it if you can handle the price AND understand that the wrist and even the knee joints are extremely fragile. Max Factory is too used to models and all that figures by them had been reported as kinda fragile. Hope that helps.
  3. I would love to see an Earth X Blackbolt. That would totally own.
  4. Rogue definately. Multiple times I've think about getting her on ebay alone and I couldn't do it. She is just too much of a butterface. Magneto should have an update because now he looks just weak. Captain America from series 1. The series 8 Classic one is a little too rare for me to find. I want a decent cap with wings. Cable needs to be taller. I really don't mind if Toybiz kinda do what they used to do, and had like many varients of Cable. There are also many potential for new characters using old mold. Toybiz for the Spiderman line already repaint and redo Chameleon, Demogoblin and The Spot from previous figures. I personally don't see why not for Psylocke, can fool me with a repaint and new headsculpt. That's the only example off the top of my head.
  5. Of course. The pose they give in ML are usually friggin weird. They love having one thigh completely 90 degrees sideways while the other straight down. To me, that just like Black Panther just flash his "camel toads" at you. Not a pretty sight. @smilepunch@ I still need to pick up ML 10-12, plus additional things on the side. This will be a bleeding red Christmas.
  6. He looks like.... I dunno, Earthquake from Samurai Shodown or that guy fighting for Pegasus Cloth in first episode of Saint Seiya. Looks too regular soldier like. But it doesn't matter, Vinnie Jones is the man. "The fact that you got bone claw written down the side of your fist, and the fact I've got Big Knuckles down the side of mine, should precipitate your balls into shrinking."
  7. X-Man = Scott +Jean Grey Cable = Scott + Madelyne Pryor. Just cuz Madelyne is a clone of Jean doesn't mean they are simply alternate reality self, because some might argue half brother. I would take the latter way of thinking. True, X-Man is what Cable should have been, it is simply not the same. Anyway, my vote goes to Adam Warlock and Dr. Strange. They are just not popular enough or something to with stand their own series.

    Lame Powers

Hey hey, he did kill the marvel universe in this comic i read. (killed the entire cast of X-Men in the moon by nuke, killed Wolverine by electric fence, killed Spiderman somehow) worst crap I've read ever. IMO, Cipher takes the cake. In a very different way, I think that anyone with the basic enhanced human strength is lame. EVERYONE has super strength to me. It is a power that is a lil played out for everyone.
  9. This is from the latest issue of Hobby Japan. What I am guessing is that instead of the previously sepculation of 13(was that the number?) AC figures, what they meant is Final Fantasy Play Arts in general. Probably all the main chars in FF7 to X
  10. I went to Time SQ TRU first, nothing new for me. Still didn't get the will to get ML10 yet, since no Mystique. My roommate did warned me about kids and X Box 360. I say bah, and they will 360 into my fist! Went to the first Kmart, JUST one step behind as this dude got a sweet score on Bly and Gree. I then rush to another Kmart to find nothing. All I got today was Thanos and a Commander Gree. It was still fun.... but cold.
  11. Here is my two cent. I think that they are selling fairly ok. I think their designs target kids. Face it, love all you might for 3.75", kids are probably not too interested in it, they are small and might I boldly say boring. With Sigma Six, you see all these cool weapons and gadgets. The design is albeit a bit anorexicly muscular....(they need like just a dash of Essense of Rob Liefeld to even the body out). They are big and have everything a kid would wish for in an action figure. The design might turn you off, but it is better than Batman figures. With a slight change, it can spice up the market a bit. Kids are too young to remember or even know about G.I.Joes of the 80s. Heck, I heard some kid seeing "The Batman" batmobile and thinking the Batman Begins Tankmobile is the real deal . They are geared to the present. The target audience for 3.75" line is nowadays more and more a line targeted for mostly 20 something years-old who fondly remember their favorites from Roadblock to Crystal Ball. These also draw some, I am sorry to say, non- hardcore fans. My roommate and I are not that big of a fan but we were instantly interested in the Sigma Six figures. I absolutely agree on the term that Hasbro is "selling out". Seeing plenty of them in a store or two doesn't mean they don't sell. Look at ML9. They practically clogged up the toy isles after like the second and third shipment and had to go on sale to get rid of the leftovers. Before you start bashing about me being a sigma lover and all. In the long run tho, I can't see this line being the total replacement for 3.75". The main drawback is that the figures are too big. 8" is the most oddest of all scale to produce a figure. These things sooner or later will cost an arm or a leg to get every figure. They are too big for cool vehicles such as tanks and all. The advantage of 3.75" is that you can buy more and build an army where as people buy usually one Sigma Six of their favorite character. I think it will be a quick fad as soon as the cartoon is off the air.
  12. As I was in Target yesterday picking up Sith Evolution Pack and a Cycle for my Snake Eyes. I can't help but notice the top of the box were either steel-like silver in color or slightly tinted in blue. Is that a varient? P.S.: Is there really a pale Duke and "Malibu" Duke?
  13. http://shop.port.ne.jp/sqen/sqen_dtl.php?&...9006&CAT=001103 This 1000 yen only set is for the japanese version of Cloud to exchange for a better head, sword, and hands that is gonna be in the oversea version. I wonder if the sword can be separated? But than Cloud would have no left hand for holding it, right? Also, is the regular sword coming with the american version. This pretty much confirm that the figure will come out for america, wee!
  14. That would be Hakaider. He is from the Kikaider action series/anime. The badass black bike that Hakaider has is used as a good comparison for Cloud's Fenrir, because there is a similar feel to it, or just cuz the bikes are black.
  15. I found Al and Ed in Wardenbooks. Ed was ok.... but.... what's with the hand not able to hold the spears? Kinda disappointing in that aspect. Other than that it was pretty cool with the coat and the extra arms. Al is great. Well proportioned. Pass on Winry since she looks like a doll....
  16. I guess I can do a mini-review of the figure for you. The face shows her smiling a lil. I guess it works better if she has a more neutral face. The coat tends to get a little dirty at times, especially if you per say scratch it with harder plastic. The coat does include 20 Derringer impressively (even tho the show had 50). Overall the figure is not too bad, more articulated than Vash. Also no funny articulation that people don't like about Gazelle. The main selling point is the base and accessory. Files, Kuro-neko sama, extra derringers, typewriter, traveling case, small bag and coat bag (not really for holding), and another SMG. The bags and coat hanger thingie are meant for the first compartment. The second "hidden compartment hides the SMG and typewriter. The real detail part about the case is that the SMG attach to a panel in the case. The panel seems to show the intention that the case is a secret gun. The handle of the case has a trigger and the side has a hole for the gun to shoot. I think this is a really nice touch. The base has two levels. in the front is what seems to be a sink. The kuroneko fits in the back of the base via two pegs. The bullet holes and scratches on the floor and the used derringer(not removeable) is really superb. Looks like there was a shoot out before. Yet furthermore makes the smiling face out of place. The base has also some pegs that are not used, which i believe is made for a Milly figure perhaps to make a bigger base. Yet no Milly was announced as of yet...... the next one is Legato. Overall, I think this is one of the most underrated figure. Perhaps she is not too popular compare to other anime girls with bigger breasts or longer hair. If they are making Milly the drawback is that it takes too long and the base is lacking when displayed. I want my Milly now!
  17. So there I was buying two for 20 bucks each for my friend and I. Rushed home, opened the box. To my dismay, my box had two left hand!!! I ran back to the store and the asXhole in that store won't exchange or anything. Called Diamond uesday and they send me a brand new one this Friday already for free instead of just mailing the right hand! With the extra one, all my anger and frustration went away. Now I made my Kingdom Heart version of Sephiroth with my extra one, adding a wing from Black Redeemer. Comparison And the result of the other wing from the black redeemer.
  18. call me crazy, but I want to get a Sephi and than add a Black Redeemer from Spawn and make a Kingdom Hearts version.
  19. I went to KB somewhere in NY, the only interesting figure left was the Mustafar sentry. The rest were Mon Mothma left overs..... how weird. Check next week cuz the stock guy said next Wednesday they have a new case.
  20. Clones!! I like all 3 packs and planning to get them. Check out these pics from a HK Forum. (Not my pics) Front of Boxes Clone Figures in box Sith Lords in box Clones Figures out of box (ZOMG!! Helmets come off for both clones!!! Not just the Bly Grunt!) Sith Lords out of box Clone's accessories (Interchangeable Clone Pilot helmet, hence the yellow color scheme) Sith Lord's accessories Back of boxes The clone was a real surprise for me. Wonder if the varient will give us a white or Grey Clone Pilot from ep II. Heck, with a lil work bashing the two Clones in this box with an ARC , you might be able to get a SA ARC... suuuuweeeeet! Looking forward to these!
  21. I found two Red last Thursday at TRU with a 500 Vader. One of them has it's arm popped out loose jingling in the package. The other one is fine. I guess them MOC'ers don't want the jingling one. It was quite a sweet score.
  22. Well, whenever I am in my local Target, it is not kids but old grannies who ask me about what to get or where is a certain character. They think I work there even tho I am not wearing red. They are buying these figures for their grandkids i presume. One of them looks like she struck gold founding C-3PO for her 4 y/o grandkid. It's a great feeling.
