  1. Very cool!!! I'm definitely grabbing the whole set.
  2. Gijoe has a few currently on the market, castle grayskull for the he-man line, plus i think there's a batcave available among others.....but i've yet to ever find one at any WM or TRU. Do stores just not carry them anymore? Cost of a playset may be prohibitive to a young kid, but us older collectors would like to get our hands on them. Any of you see playsets in stock at your local stores? Sal
  3. Believe it or not, i'm actually gonna have to give wal-mart a thumbs up today. I just picked up a Batman Begins Batmobile from them for only $29.92. That was after i refused to pay $39.99 for one at TRU. Explains why there were 50 of them at TRU but only 2 left at WM. So, in conclusion.....WM still needs to get a better selection, and TRU needs to stop it's unending price gouging. That's my rant for the day. Sal
  4. It's just strange to me how a city as large as toronto has 1 good toy store, that being silver snail. How's the selection in other major cities? I'm referring to small mom n pop stores not the massive chains. Someone should start up a toy store locator on the web. They already have one for comic shops in north america. www.the-master-list.com i think it is. It's very useful but i'd love something geared towards toys only though. Anyone know of any? Sal
  5. It's called toy addict and it's located in etobicoke. I didn't think toy stores that bad existed until i went there. Silver Snail is a very cool store and i shop there when i am in the area, however because of it's rather decent size and popularity they tend to overcharge on a lot of their stuff. Sal
  6. ...what is the best one available on the market. Toyfare only covers the newer stuff, i need a reference for older toys. Anyone make some suggestions? Sal
  7. ....based upon a few mentions from board members here. What a hole in the ground this place is. Firstly, it's the size of my girlfriends' washroom. It's probably one of the dirtiest stores i've ever been to. There's an inch of dust on all their playsets, plus when i tried to pick up and look at one of their muppet playsets it was stuck to the floor, i had to yank it out.The place needs to be completely cleaned and reorganized....whoever owns it needs to learn something, anything, about asthetics. Yuck. The "stockroom" curtains were slightly open and all you could see was garbage littering the floors. There are a few figures hanging along a beam on the ceiling, i was afraid the crappy nails they were on were about to give way and send a few star trek: first contact figures landing on my head. I asked about their "Toyvault" section that they advertise about on their website....the guy pointed to a small shelf behind him with about a dozen loose and unrecocnizeable figures, along with a small glass encased stand next to the cash with a few loose gijoes' and some other uncleaned mess of toys. All i have to say is pleeeeeeeease don't go to this place if your ever in the area. I will not be going back ever. That's my rant for the day. Sal
  8. I've only been browsing this site for a few weeks now, and i've noticed the majority of the collecting involves newer toys or popular older toys. I'm curious to know if there are any collectors of older, harder to find, less popular toys.....Rambo, Silverhawks, M.A.S.K., Visionaries, A-Team for example. Other than E-Bay, i can't seem to find many websites selling these toylines. I would appreciate any info or links to webstores with some good selection of these (MOC only). If anyone has any of these types of classic toys please post some pics, i'd love to see them. Sal
  9. Maybe it's just me, but everytime i walk into one i've been getting more and more dissapointed with their selection, or lack of. They used to have 2-3 isles dedicated to action figures at one point, now it's down to half an isle, filled with mostly junk. Maybe it's just the canadian wal-marts. Anyone else notice this? Sal
  10. ...i just signed up and wanted to say hello. I'm a big G.i.joe fan and i also recently started collecting the Muppets as well. I've recently aqquired a few of the Scarface figures (awesome!!!) and was wondering if anyone has heard of any plans to make the characters of "The Godfather" into figures as well. Any insight would be appreciated. Thx.
