The other day at work, I was asked how long I standed in line to see Star Wars. I told them 5 1/2 hours and they laughed at me and called me stupid.
But, I then started to pick on their hobbies and all of sudden it didn't seem so funny to them. @grumpy@
Hunting- paying to sit in a tree for 8 hours a day for something that may never show up at all, and then talking about it for months to come.
Football & Nascar- getting there 6 hours before the event even starts for reserved seats that you know you already have.
Black Friday- Standing in line 2 hours before the store opens to buy something that is crap anyhow.
Amusement Parks- Standing in line for up to 2 hours for a ride that lasts less than 2 minutes.
People may call Star Wars fans geeks for waiting in line to see a movie, But people should look in the mirror and realize that it is probably more people doing these five things waiting in line then there is Star Wars fans waiting in line.@poke2@
It is just easier to pick on something that you have no interest in or just don't understand.
