  1. About time! Ellie Sattler was the very first of the only two Jurassic Park figures I ever bought, the second being Sara Harding.
  2. Yay, figures from another ancient franchise that you'll find clogging the shelves in every Target on Earth, while your chances of finding Animated Turtle figures are just shy of Charlie's chances of finding the golden ticket.
  3. Gotta say, it's not the most exciting promo image I've ever seen. Kinda reminds me of one of those royalty free photos you'd see illustrating an article in a business magazine. Still, she's cute, so mission accomplished . . . I guess. Even if it goes to series, I'm not sure I'll watch the show. I mean, I get a good vibe off it, but I'm still a little gun-shy coming off Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I honestly think the CW has realized where they went wrong with the Arrowverse shows and is trying to course correct, at least with their new series' (Stargirl and Superman and Lois are awesome), but that's still only 2 for 7. Not great odds.
  4. Oh, I just assumed they needed someone with experience in these gloomy, overwrought action fantasies and figured the son of Angel was their man.
  5. I've said that from the get-go. It's like they found a way to meld the best of what they were doing with the MCU figures, the best of what they were doing with Comic Marvel Legends, and a bit of what they TRIED to do with Overwatch. The quality of the line is really what makes the bloody availability so infuriating. Once Hasbro gets all their ducks in a row, though, it'll be interesting to see how long they can maintain it.
  6. Nice, but not my scale. I'll stick with the 1/12th Lanard figures. They fit in with Marvel Legends, and you can't beat the price.
  7. Another sighting in another Target. This time just a lonely redeco Scarlett though. They're moving slow, but Hasbro seems to be getting back to work Joe-wise. Here's hoping they can keep up the momentum, or in this case, START some momentum.
  8. As I said, if Hasbro would just get these things back in stores, I'd buy. Well, at my nearest Target yesterday I found the new redecos: Scarlett, Roadblock, and even Zartan. Now all that remains to be seen is if this is indeed the end of the drought, or just one of those occasional summer sprinkles that only serves to make things humid, sticky, and even less bearable.
  9. Yeah, Adrian Paul was missing from a bunch of episodes during the last season of Highlander to, but THAT was because he just got tired of doing the show and wanted out. 'Nuff said.
  10. So Kara is STILL stuck in that other dimensional Hell? Almost 5 whole episodes seems to be stretching the story a bit, but then the series itself has been stuck in a never ending Hell since the beginning of season 2.
  11. I wonder if we weren't spoiled by Hasbro back in the Joe vs. Cobra days. I mean, against all odds the line was revived in a BIG WAY: saturated distribution, serious release schedule, animated movies, multiple TV series, non-toy merchandising, etc.: and all because of a relatively tiny group of highly motivated individuals off by themselves within Hasbro. Unfortunately, the fan-boys aren't in charge anymore. Joe, at best, is just one franchise within a HUGE stable; at worst . . . Hasbro's red-headed step-child. I keep telling myself once the movie hits they'll go hot and heavy to support it, I just can't be there for 'em until then.
  12. Now THAT sounds like the Matty I knew and grew to hate. . . . come to think of it, it kinda sounds like where Hasbro is heading to.
  13. Just because you see the punch coming, doesn't mean it won't hurt when it hits you.
  14. Fair enough. For what it's worth, though, I wasn't actually "calling you out" so much as just saying I'm cool with anyone they make. Technically, I DON'T disagree with you, there ARE characters (Bug Man, Titanus) I want to see done before others (the Fifth Turtle).
  15. Hey! Somebody call Bruce Willis. He needs a new franchise, and the rights to Green Army Men are just sitting there!
  16. Well, in all fairness, the purpose of these videos was NEVER to give us a "Warts and All" look inside the company or what we can expect in the future. Their job is basically to say "Buy or Stuff, It's Really Neat!" PERIOD. You go into a restaurant and ask the maitre d about the soup of the day, he's not gonna tell you the clams have turned and the chef sneezed in the chowder. He's gonna say it's the best soup in town.
  17. Don't let it get you down. The guys you're talking about are riding high on a wave of naivete that soon enough WILL come crashing down around them. Believe me, I've walked both sides of this street.
  18. So you're saying he DID appear in the series? What's the problem!?! Sure, Ace Duck required a deep-dive into TMNTV continuity, but I don't have a problem with that. Any figures they wanna make are fine with me. Plus, if they're willing to strap on the snorkel for Ace, who only made the briefest of cameos, I figure that has to improve the chances of getting characters like Bug-Man, Dirk Anger, Wesley Knight, or Krakus . . . maybe even Carter.
  19. Little wonder. One day you're signing up for a series that'll guarantee you a steady paycheck for the next six or seven months, next thing you know, you've burned up six or seven years on a job you probably weren't that crazy for in the first place. Next come the demands, the arguments, the walk-offs, the lay-offs, and finally one side or the other says "F-it" and tells the other where to get off.
  20. Honestly, I'm just waiting for Hasbro to ramp things up for the movie. If they fail at that, it's on them. I've already given them WAY more chances than I usually give a toy company.
  21. If you say so, but I followed these movies pretty closely when they came out, and never heard anything like that. Remember, just because you read it on the internet doesn't make it true. I'll look all you want though . . .
  22. Understood. I felt the same way when I found out Buffy was going to be played by some upstart chick named Sarah Michelle whatever instead of Kristy Swanson (who I'd been crushing on since I saw Deadly Friend back in the day). Now Gellar is forever the face of my ideal Buffy AND Daphne, and Swanson is forever the face of super-cute killer, girl-next-door cyber-chicks.* * It's a small, but surprisingly brutal, niche.
  23. Ace, YES!!! I'd preorder this bad boy right now, but I draw the line at paying up front for a pre-order. As much as I'd love a note excusing me from the hunt, I'll wait for Target.
