  1. Ah, talking comics with Rob Liefeld. Maybe if there’s enough time they can talk movies with Uwe Boll or gender relations with Harvey Weinstein.
  2. Oh yeah, that goes without saying. A mainstream media tie-in is gold for a toy-line. Of course, the hat-trick is locking down the "successful" part. So far, Joe's been 0 for 2 at the box office, and as cool as it looks, Snake Eyes may very well be repeating all the mistakes the first two movies made.
  3. If it's a choice between old Indy and whatever one-liner vomiting, gender-bending, race-swapping yutz passes for a movie hero today, I'll take Doctor Jones EVERY TIME. But by all means, continue your casual ageism.
  4. Hasbro, as far as G.I. Joe goes, probably has a lot riding on it, I'll give you that. Best case scenario: The movie does well enough to spawn further sequels (leading Hasbro to take the line seriously) and maybe a halfway decent cartoon to keep the line afloat between pictures.
  5. I agree on not running to Ebay. However, in theory, the MOTU Origins line is supposed to be "fairly easy to get," yet after snapping up the first wave, all I see are pegs and pegs of He-Man, and Skeletor.
  6. Look on the bright side, unlike most of what they spew in their regular Classified "Reveals," this time they have a major motion picture backing them. Anything new they roll out or promise, you can take as gospel. Gotta support that film. This is the one I'll be listening to.
  7. I'll be the first to admit Todd's DC stuff has it's issues, but I suspect a line built around a skinny, physically unimposing Batman might just be the boost it needs.
  8. I saw this guy at Walmart. It IS nice, but I'll stick with my DVD set version.
  9. OH YEAH! Ordering my Flint and Gung-Ho was easy-peasy! After Pulse taking almost a week to actually list them as "shipped," and even longer to actually deliver them to FedEx, I spent the last seven days tracking the order through FedEx notices like "Delivery Date Pending," "On Vehicle for Delivery," "Delivery Exception," Security Delay will Attempt Re-delivery" and back to an old favorite, "Delivery Date Pending." Supposedly, the current "Scheduled Delivery" is now tomorrow "By end of Day." We'll see.
  10. Don't put words in Todd's mouth. He was clearly saying "F#$% you collectors!"
  11. I like, and would've given my right arm if Mattel had done a Batcave like this to go with their Batcave accessory set back in the day, but I just can't get past how out of scale some of those computer pieces look next to the figures. I mean, I get Adam West was a tall drink o'water, but THIS is supposed to be a desk! I'm still there for it, though.
  12. Have their Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Penguin, and (of course) the Batmobile. I'm wondering if the Macfarlane figures will share the same scale as the originals, or (hopefully) be a little closer to DCUC/ML level.
  13. There you go! An Alfred would be an excellent addition to the mix as it would provide a suit-buck for many more potential figures like Commissioner Gordon, Mad-Hatter, etc.
  14. Is it wrong that these bad-boys haven't even hit the streets yet and I'm already clamoring for the inevitable Batgirl? Give me her, and a Batgirl-Cycle for her to tool around on, and I'll take back half of all the nasty stuff I've ever said about the Toddster. . . . give us an expansion to the line in the form of the rest of the cast from the Legends of the Superheroes specials and I'll take back the other half. . . . throw in Green Hornet and Kato, and I may even say some nice stuff.
  15. That's the problem, it's the non-comic vampire hunter ventriloquist Batman stuff that's hard to find. Sure, you occasionally see a Flash, or an Armored Wonder Woman that hang around for weeks, usually because these things don't seem to move that well around here, but even those are few and far between. I think if Big Mac would just flip the script and make the recognizable "vanilla" versions of the DC characters his focus, and withhold the "freaky" stuff for special occasions, deluxe releases, etc. he'd really have something going.
  16. After a few lucky strikes of my own this week, I'm hoping finding them like this is a starting trend EVERYWHERE.
  17. Yeah, give me rated "R" animated Batman torture porn any day of the week.
  18. The figures seem nice, and I have a lot of hope riding on this movie that Hasbro will finally wake up and get to work on distributing the line. We'll just have to wait and see.
  19. Yeah, I don't think so. Not even if the figure in question WAS worth that price.
  20. Gotta be honest, it looks a lot like the stuff that was already done excellently on the early 2000s cartoon. So I guess I don't really need this. Dug the cliche of having "I Need a Hero" playing in the background though. Really gave an extra shot of cheese to the video.
  21. Very cool! Now, if we could just get someone to revisit those old BTR sets.
  22. Hope you enjoy it. Around here, though, movie tickets are expensive, and I won't blow that kinda cash on a concept I can't get behind. That's nothing against Dwayne Johnson though. The guys great. I loved him in Rampage, Journey 2, Walking Tall, and I'm REALLY looking forward to Jungle Cruise. Put him in the right project, he's awesome. It's just that he's finished out far more franchises than he's started. Combine that with Warner/DCs record of late . . .
  23. Not something I would ever even consider buying (not at these prices), and certainly not from this company, but I do like the gimmick of the wings topped with non-articulated alt. arms. Kind of a nice call-back to the original line.
  24. Is this really the movie the motion picture industry needs to put butts back in theater seats? It's feels a little like treating the flu with cyanide capsules. But hey, if Baywatch, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Escape to Witch Mountain, and Rampage taught us anything, it's that the Rock can really make a movie. . . . of course, so can Tommy Wiseau.
