Sooo, they've pretty much written off the 1/12th. scale line except for multiple Raptor redecos? Disappointing.

'Green Arrow And The Canaries' Not Going Forward At The CW
mako replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
Every opportunity Berlanti DOESN'T get to ruin another superhero series is a cause for celebration in my book. Although, I thought they had written this particular pitch off a long time ago. -
Maybe this'll be the wave that finally hits the mark . . . but I doubt it. Right about now, the best I hope for from the Toddster is he gets what he wants from the license and lets it go to someone else when it expires.

Honestly, if I cared I would. But yeah, what he said. I don't see how we can make it any clearer.

So ole' Todd is finally gonna put on his big-boy pants and do a real DC wave huh? Interested to see if he can pull it off.

Superman & Lois - Season Trailer - 'Family Crest'
mako replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
Absolutely. I think his casting may be the last thing the show did that didn't in some way cheese me off. -

Can't deny there's a certain cool-factor to these, but man I would LOVE 6" versions.

Superman & Lois - Season Trailer - 'Family Crest'
mako replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
I like to think Superman's position as DC's big bread winner would be enough for them to ride heard on the CW and keep them Berlantying up the show to badly. And hey, who knows, Stargirl turned out pretty darn good. -
Well, not to rain on your parade, but there's a very sound, logical reason we don't dwell on how difficult it is finding this line outside the US. Because we can barely find the bloody things IN the US! Seriously, we're supposedly three waves in, but I've only been able to find series one in stores in the last few weeks . . . and never in great number. I got so sick of looking I gave up and sold off the ones I DID find.

Totally down for the Frogs, and any other "guest mutants" Neca wants to make. What really peaks my interest however are the disguise Turtles. I always hoped when they got around to doing these bad-boys they'd be wearing soft-goods coats, but look at them. If I'm not mistaken, those are soft-goods pants!

Warner Bros. Pictures Fast-Tracks Development On Wonder Woman 3
mako replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
The second was nowhere near as good as the first, mostly due to a nowhere plot, complete failure as a "period piece" (wanna know how to do an 80s throw-back? Watch the first season of Stranger Things), and the same "douche-comedy" element that's infected just about ALL modern superhero movies. Still, not as bad as Endgame or Justice League, it was okay. Certainly could've been a lot worse. As far as the acting: Gadot was to good for this script, Pine seemed to be phoning it in at certain points, but both he and Wiig probably did their best with what they were given. I DO look forward -
Wow, that's a lot of figures coming around the bend. Target may have to put in extra shelves to hold all the new stuff . . . they won't have.
-
Wait, do my eyes deceive me or does the Phantom come with his ring-beam (a power he only used ONCE in the entire series)? I was always gonna buy these anyway, but dang, even if I wasn't, these pix would go a long way toward changing my mind. Now I just hope they're in the Target TMNT end of the 7" scale.

McFarlane Toys Announces The Witcher Netflix Series Figures
mako replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
McFarlane huh? You know, it really doesn't matter what the franchise is, I always feel sorry for any property that ends up under Big Todd's banner. It's like reading about somebody you went to school with in the obituaries. It doesn't really matter if you knew 'em or not, that's just not a fate you wish on anybody.- 13 replies

. . . and Jazwares, some Neca, Mezco, some DCD, S.H.Figuarts, Mafex, Funko's Legacy figures, Fwoosh's Articulated Icons: I could go on. I think at this point, pound for pound, most companies do AT LEAST dabble in 1/12th, with the vast majority of mass-market figures being in that scale.

Aw, 7"!?! These would've gone awesome with my Legendary Comic Book Heroes Savage Dragon figures. Plus, look at that Omni-Man. That's totally Dabney Coleman!

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous - Season 2 Official Trailer
mako replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
Gotta admit, this show was a lot better than I thought it would be, although it did take me two tries to get through the first episode. Guess I'm still pining for the unrealized 90's action cartoon with the dino-hunters . . . -
Just found Zarax and Zork this weekend. No bets on how soon this will turn up here, but I'll keep my eyes open.

7" Fortnite Plastic Patroller From McFarlane Toys
mako replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Hm. To bad this isn't from the Jazwares line. One of my weirder collecting obsessions is for somebody to do a 1/12th scale super-articulated "Green Army Man" figure.- 6 replies
