  1. I feel the same way every time I read the words "Dark and Gritty" in the logline of a new Batman project, or see another actor belting out lines in a gravely voice while dressed head-to-toe in black rubber.
  2. It's good to be in the League.
  3. True, but The Cleveland Show doesn't have a theatrical film coming up fast, and Warner Bros. movie division is notorious for not sharing it's comic properties with the small screen. If Gotham doesn't score big-@$$ed ratings fast and consistently, I forsee a short life.
  4. Nope. Lex has already been released using the armored buck that is also being used for Mr. Freeze and Cyborg.
  5. Assuming Palmer gets powers and a suit, there are two scenes they have GOT to do this season. 1. You have an archer, you have a shrinking guy, you have to have Ollie shooting an arrow with the Atom sitting on it. 2. The Atom riding in Canary's cleavage just like he did with Wonder Woman on the Dark Heart episode of JLU. And on a side note, I wonder if they'll bring Jean Loring back to the show.
  6. Looks like the Blue Beetle rumors were slightly off.
  7. My comment was going to be almost exactly the same! Supeman in a drab, murky background with some CGI rain. Yay. It's frustrating because I think Cakvil himself looks great as Superman. I'm knid of upset that he still has the kryptonian underwear. Given that he pretty much had forsaken his heritage "Krypton had it's CHANCE!!!!!" and completely obliterated the last of the surviving members of his race signifying just how much he cares for the past, why keep the only thing left to remind him of what he's done..... and why set it in the rain with a darkened sky..... oh Snyder you piece of........ That's low, real fracking low. Wait. You're upset because Superman is dressed like . . . Superman? We're kinda stretching for those criticisms a little, aren't we?

A lot of fanboys have that rule. Of course in each case "ever" translates into "well, until they make something I really want, I mean". It's like they say, "You don't throw out the baby with the bath-water."

  11. "Nothing today." Never have two words more aptly described a retailer.

Black Manta just arrived. Gotta say, it's a great figure. of course it would have to be for me to break my "Never give money to Matty Collector for anything . . . ever," rule.

  14. Terrific. Walgreens can't even fill a prescription properly, yet someone, somehow decided they would make a viable toy outlet.
  15. Nice! I hope we hear a lot more from this line at SDCC.

Not an all-together unprofitable week toy-wise. DCUC Series 5 Atom and CIE Freddy Freeman arrived in the mail yesterday. Got my shipping notification for Total Heroes Ultra Black Manta, and tracking says my DCUC Series 20 Green Arrow is in transit.
  17. What must it be like to costar in this movie? Seriously, you've got a supporting cast made up of full-on "NAME" actors like Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, Holly Hunter, Diane Lane etc., yet every ounce of press the film is getting is completely devoted to the "Special Guest Heroes" the appearances of whom probably won't be any more elaborate or lengthy than Sam Jackson's cameo in Iron Man. Even the friggin' star has been ignored!
  18. I honestly like the guy, and its somehow fitting that the big screen's first Aquaman is a Baywatch alum, I just hope they don't dye his hair.
  19. Good news for me, if for no other reason than I wanna see if Total Heroes can really go the distance.

Just got Series 5 Black Lightning in the mail. I had pretty much washed my hands of DCUC, but I found this on Amazon, complete in package, for a price I couldn't walk away from. It helps that this was one of those figures I saw once on the pegs, decided not to get "right then," and spent the next few years hunting for. On a side note, it may be the nostalgia talking, but I forgot how cool it feels cracking into a DCUC package.
  21. I don't know how "active" they are, but series 2 just showed up at my local Wally-World this week. Still no Black Widow though.
  22. Maybe because this is anti-news? Put an Alpine at Walmart or Target where everyone can get it, then we'll have something to talk about.
  23. Looks like John Wesley Shipp will be playing Henry Allen, Barry's ill-fated father come the fall. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but this is still the show I'm looking forward to more than any other. (Yes, even more than NCIS: Gotham )
  24. You know, I didn't notice that till just now. I'm kind of disappointed with Ivy's hands to. Hands that can't "hold" seem odd considering one of the selling points of this line is that each figure will come with a load of episode specific accessories.
  25. Let's face it, deep down we were all expecting Star Wars but are getting Mom and Dad Save the Universe.
