Just thought about this. We're all assuming (hoping?) these HasNite figures will be in Marvel Legends or similar scale. I mean, they supposedly specifically mentioned 6" scale, but that doesn't necessarily mean Marvel Legends/Black Series/Lightning Collection/GIJC scale. Is Hasbro not already releasing video game themed figures in the more kiddifide 6" scale with their Avengers figures? It'd probably be real easy to expand that line into the Fortnite realm. Something to think about.

NECA Shows Off New Images For Defenders of the Earth Lothar Figure

Same here on all points. I'll at least get Phantom no matter what, but I REALLY wanted these to match Marvel Legends.- 10 replies

The snow is completely melted, today's high will be a beautiful 60 degrees. The closest thing to severe weather is a light rain that ended at around 6 am . . . and still UPS managed to loose my Splinter set in transit, AFTER it arrived in my city. Target was cool about it though. A replacement's on the way, and I got a 5 dollar e-card for my trouble. I swear, I may just retire from commercial art and just live off the courtesy money I get from all the companies that screw up on my orders.

NECA Shows Off New Images For Defenders of the Earth Lothar Figure
mako replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Someone finally did a comparison in a Flash Gordon review on YouTube. The bad news is, these ARE in the 7" scale. The good news is, it's the lower end of the 7" scale, not near as bad as Neca's Movie Monster figures or most of McFarlane's stuff. Think the last days of Mattel's DC Multiverse. They're close. They don't REALLY fit, but depending on how bad you want it, they're close enough that you can fudge them in. Important Note: Ming is noticeably taller than the other DOE figures.- 10 replies

G.I. Joe Live-Action TV Series Centered On Lady Jaye Coming To Amazon
mako replied to JayC's topic in Entertainment News
Avoid the numerous pit-falls and this could be good. Lord knows my favorite episodes of the Sunbow series were the ones where Lady Jaye took center stage. -
Good news if you're into it I guess. Not my thing, but I always celebrate when a kids franchise gets a show that kids can actually watch.

Hasbro Makes An Angry Action Figure Collector Figure???

Makes since. You'd be hard-pressed to find a collector more critical of Hasbro than that guy. -
Super7 Announces Star Trek The Next Generation ReAction Figures
mako replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
These seem interesting, but when is Enterprise gonna get some love? Sure you see merch occasionally, but it's few and far between. Sad state of affairs for a great show whose only real crime was being, as Connor "Trip" Trinneer once put it, "One trip to the well to many." -
Some of these look cool, but as I've said before, i will never support the movie that took Brandon Lee away from us in any way, shape, or form.

Hasbro Makes An Angry Action Figure Collector Figure???
mako replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Sure, in a way. On the other hand, seeing as how the hundreds of bucks a year I drop on their stuff helps pay these douche-bags' pay checks, I'm not sure I'm down with being a living joke to the over-paid intellectual flat-lines. -
Sasha Calle To Debut As 'Supergirl' In 'The Flash' Standalone Movie
mako replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
Of course personal mileage will vary, but I think the general consensus is Wonder Woman and Aquaman were the first totally successful DCCU movies. MOS, BVS, and WW84 were successful but extremely divisive, Suicide Squad was a disappointment but Warners carried it for a bit due to Margot Robbie's brief status as an "It Girl." Birds of Prey was a flop and, barring the intervention of rabid James Gunn fans, I don't see the new Suicide Squad movie doing much better. BTW: Who wants to bet the new Suicide Squad pulls a Machete 2 and Harley appears just long enough to take a bullet? -
Hasbro Makes An Angry Action Figure Collector Figure???
mako replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Pretty smooth on the brand team's part. A little bit of internet worthy (ie Lame) humor to distract everyone from the fact they released another "Screaming-Face." I'm not sure what's sadder, that they pulled such a transparent ploy . . . or that it apparently worked. -
Sasha Calle To Debut As 'Supergirl' In 'The Flash' Standalone Movie
mako replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
I'm still not getting my hopes up. As far as DC movies go, Warner Bros. has a long and proud history of pulling crap from the jaws of victory. -

Never seen any of her work, so I can't really judge her acting, but going purely from the photo, I could see it. -
Can a comic series this full of cliches, over-used tropes and in which literally every character is a "pastiche" of other existing characters REALLY be called "Ground Breaking?" Then again, we are talking Bob Kirkman, whose only claim to fame is rehashing the EXACT same zombie story EVERYONE has been telling since Romero in '68.

Just ordered the Splinter vs. Baxter set from Target's website. Hopefully, it'll be here Tuesday as scheduled. I could've picked it up at one of my local stores, but the 8 inches of snow still melting on most of the streets around here make that option . . . problematic. Hopefully, I'll find this set as easy.

John Wesley Shipp To Appear As 'Golden Age Flash' On DC's Stargirl
mako replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
From the first moment I saw the JSA was gonna have a major role in Stargirl I hoped they'd find a way to do this. Well played CW!* * Never thought I'd be able to say that again. -
Real nervous about this one. I mean, this IS Berlanti, and it IS the CW. Then again, its a show about Superman, DC's bread and butter. They wouldn't let them mess with the "S" . . . would they?

I'm just the opposite. Except for the Target Turtles I couldn't care less about Neca, but I'm COMPLETELY attached to this franchise.- 41 replies

New NECA 7" The Defenders of the Earth Wave 1 Figures In-Hand Images
mako replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I've been saying that all along. The really crazy thing though, is Neca ALSO classifies those animated and gaming TMNTs as "7 inch scale," so it could go either way. Pretty sure these will be in true 7 inch, but until I see some in-hand comparison shots, I'll remain hopeful.- 41 replies

As much as I dislike Walmart's shipping practices, I like BBTS' scalper mark-up even less. I'd just as soon wait till they hit brick-n-mortar.- 41 replies
