  1. And here I think we see the problem with this "line," at least for the near future. Where Neca's Turtles are marketed as 7" but are actually very much in the 6" scale, the Turtles tooling Playmates has been using forever, is a lot closer to 7" than 6" scale. Their new 6" villains apparently have been spared this problem. I have no doubt if playmates decides to continue these figures, and they're successful enough, they'll cook themselves up a set of "corrected" Turtles quickly enough. Almost makes me wanna support the line just to see where it goes.
  2. Oh yeah, baby! I'm gettin' me one of those! Lovin' the new Nia Jax and Bayley figures as well, but NOT getting Bigfoot isn't even an option. The only way they could improve on it is if they went the Ray Arnold route and packed in a severed arm.
  3. Even if the last iteration was a cluster-fudge from day one, TMNT is a multi-million dollar franchise. Pandemic not withstanding, Nickelodeon's not gonna let it gather dust to long. Once they get their ducks in a row and make with a new version, Playmates will be able to forgo the repacks/repaints and roll out a proper line. Hopefully, it'll be a good one.
  4. Cash, space, patience; I'm out of all three. I'm withholding my Turtle-buying dollar to see what Playmates roles out next.
  5. Oh, I did so love the Turtle line. But the prices were a little high, distribution a little spotty (okay, A LOT), and with every set I knew I was playing Russian Roulette with Neca's patented shoddy QC. So, I threw in the towel and dumped my entire collection on Ebay.
  6. I assume you're specifically referring to Yasuo, Jinx and Darius, cause Thresh and Zed ARE 6." Granted, there's a lot of wiggle room in the 6" scale, so even that's no guarantee these would fit in with any other line.
  7. Hasbro, you SOBs. You just can't help yourselves can you? Pudgy Pig may not be the most enthralling character in the long history of Power Rangers, but he's definitely one of the most iconic. So naturally, you release him in a way that guarantees the fewest possible collectors can actually get him.
  8. Looks pretty cool. I might've grabbed the 6 inchers, but I'm seriously dialing back my collecting, plus I've already been burned with Overwatch. Somebody rolls out a fresh new line, you go out of your way to snag all the figures, then they up and cancel it before they even get to the talking monkey. Still, can't help wishing they'd spread a little of that 1/12th love to their DC line.
  9. Yeah, that synopsis hasn't improved my estimation of this project. It just reinforces my opinion this'll be some low-rent horror anthology with Chucky being little more than window dressing with a couple feature episodes just to keep the fans' attention. Basically, just rehashed Freddy's Nightmares. It also doesn't help the synopsis sounds a little TO similar to one they did for that aborted attempt at a Freddy's' type show for Jason.
  10. Me to, but honestly, that's just what happens when they make one of these "revivals" nowadays. I'm hopeful, it sounds like it could be cool, but the odds are against it.
  11. Wow, Those are really . . . TERRIBLE. Most of the Batcave furnishings are tiny, and the Joker is huge. I don't get it, McFarlane has made action figures before, nice ones. There's no excuse for these.
  12. Let me guess, Hasbro wants to do a lot more business in Asia, right?
  13. Not a great time to pick up the Star Trek license, but at least Playmates has an active franchise again. I was starting to think they had gotten out of toys.
  14. Nope, I mean the Superman / Batwoman crossover that was announced as this year's "event."
  15. I doubt it. The sad fact is, Supergirl failed. When a show fails like that, it gains a stigma, nobody wants to touch it. It's happened before. The same thing is happening with Batwoman. Remember that Superman / Batwoman crossover "event" we were supposed to get?
  16. So not only are they rehashing the entire XS story line, except with Impulse, but they're also whizzing away any gravitas the original story-arc might've had by bringing XS back. They literally couldn't make a decent TV show if they tried.
  17. These were originally 19.99, now they're 22.99. You know what? I'm okay with missing out this time. If Mattelbro wants to put these in mainstream release, at 19.99, I MIGHT consider forgetting the piss-poor job they've been doing across the board lately and picking some up . . . MIGHT. It is seriously time to invest in a better hobby.
  18. The "multiverse" chestnut has been so overused of late, I actively refuse to use it to explain continuity FUBARs . . . or a network cleaning house by erasing a cancelled series.
  19. I don't know. Everyone's favorite "Pretty Blonde Cheerleader" has quickly become the red-headed step-child of the Arrowverse . . . at least as far as Superman and Lois are concerned.
  20. So? So if I'm gonna pay twenty bucks for a Power Ranger, I want it to resemble the Power Ranger. I dare say that Kim was a lot more accurate than Cassie here. At least she was the correct race! This head looks more like Miranda Cosgrove! Not an unattractive head-sculpt, but Lord_Scareglow was right, it ain't Patricia Ja Lee. Honestly, this line has been hit or miss on actor likeness. Hopefully, they'll get their act together by the time they roll out Lost Galaxy Yellow and Pink. They screw up on Cerina or ESPECIALLY Valerie, I'm gonna get real salty.
  21. Look again. The last time I checked, Cassie was Asian.
  22. Okay, be honest. In the first picture of Diggle in the set, how many of us were looking for a power ring?
  23. Uh, yeah . . . If anybody wants, they can check my post in the Retro Venom Exclusive thread to see how I feel about these little games Hasbro is playing. Or I can save you a trip: !@#$ you, Hasbro. !@#$ you.
  24. I was kinda hoping Batwoman wouldn't be back either. As in the whole stinking dumpster-fire. Honestly, with the ratings it's getting, I don't see the show lasting another entire season. Hell, I'd be surprised if they didn't demote it to mid-season status.
  25. It's funny, I have no trouble finding these in stores (not that I collect them), but as far as the REAL MOTUO goes, I see He-Man and Skeletor PERIOD.
