  1. Wow, I didn't even recognize Mehcad Brooks at first. Especially bad considering his is the only name I recognized in the cast. Of course, Christopher Lambert was the only name I recognized from the original movie, so no slight there. I'll probably leave this one for the Millennials and just enjoy mine. Fool that I am, I just don't need to see somebody get their spine ripped out to enjoy a flick.
  2. Outside of the cartoon, I was never really into the whole D&D scene. Of course, I was still a little young for it when the whole RPG craze was at its peak. By the time I hit my teens, I was more into the Palladium stuff (Heroes Unlimited, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other Strangeness, etc.). Can't really get to excited for a D&D series. Of course it doesn't help that every fantasy themed movie, TV show, video game, or book since the 80s has basically BEEN a riff on the whole D&D theme. By now any series would be just another formula we've seen a hundred times.
  3. Never heard of the guy, but then I pretty much stopped reading The Flash about a year into Wally's tenure. No slight against West, I liked a lot of what they did with the character, he just wasn't for me.
  4. We have to cut Playmates some slack. No doubt the roll out of the next incarnation of the TMNT has been delayed, like everything else. Therefore, Playmates has to limp along as best they can with stuff like this.
  5. Ooo, a King Arthur & Griff 2-pack would be awesome! For that matter, give me everybody from the Avalon arc.
  6. I'd have to have both versions of the Pack, original AND upgraded.
  7. And price hikes? Forget it! I remember the 90's. The Marvel cartoons were all over the airwaves, and Toybiz was pumping out so much product, literally two weeks after a new wave would get released, it would be on clearance at Toys-R-Us just to make room for the next batch. God, I loved those clearance baskets, sometimes the figures even still had traces of the packing tissue on 'em.
  8. Tell me about it. As kids spending our allowances on G.I. Joes, we never had any concept of the hundreds of roadblocks we would face as adult collectors . . . and that's not even counting pandemics, quarantines and shutdowns.
  9. I could be wrong, but that synopsis makes me think they may have a Buffy riff in mind. Gotta say I wouldn't mind that at all. As much as I love a good superhero show, I had forgotten how much I missed those old teen/fantasy adventure shows like Buffy, Roswell, Kyle X-Y, etc. Might even make a nice block with Stargirl.
  10. Splinter comes first, no matter what, but I'm with you. I will have that Rat King.
  11. The only Black Series I ever bought was a 6" Jyn Erso. Outside of that, I guess I stopped collecting Star Wars just before Black Series started up. Before that, there was a time I was all about anything Prequel Trilogy and especially Clone Wars.
  12. I know, right? It's fantasy, mythology comic book action, hard sci-fi, friggin' Shakespear . . . literally! Why has nobody picked this up yet?
  13. What I meant was, IF your store got the figures, it would suck if somebody scooped them up to give or scalp or whatever. Believe me, I know how hard it is to find these things.
  14. Only Hasbro figures I pick up anymore are the Comic Marvel Legends. I had been getting Joe Classifieds and Lightning Collection, but either the figures were super tough to find (if at all) and/or I decided there just wasn't enough of an emotional investment for me to carry on. So I struck them from my list and sold off what I had already gotten.
  15. Love seeing the Gargoyles getting some merchandising love again. Though not exactly what I've been longing for. Someday, Neca's gonna pick up this license. They'll make Target TMNT style 2-packs of EVERYBODY: Goliath, Angela, Elisa, Xanatos in his Steel Clan armor, Owen, MacBeth, Titania, the Weird Sisters, Oberon, Cu Cullen . . . yeah, I'll just keep telling myself that. That'll make everything okay . . .
  16. Or someone buys more than their share, so even if your store does stock them, you still can't find any. Vicious circle.
  17. As I said before, I've never heard of the character, but I hope the show does well. The CW needs a few more good shows. On the down-side, I've grown to really hate these multiverse story-lines. It's just gotten a bit overdone.
  18. I seriously need that Rat King, but yeah, Vernon is high on my list to.
  19. I love it! Why hasn't Macfarlane or Jazwares thought of this yet? Well done!
  20. I've felt that way myself. Fact is, if I could just score that Splinter pack, I could call it a day and walk. Sure, I want Rat-King and Mondo, and maybe Krang's Android Body, but I've got just about everybody I consider a "Must-Have."
  21. Up until mid-Dec. I had been supplementing the ole' toy budget by selling on Ebay. Unfortunately, the post office kinda went nuts for a bit, and after several close calls, and having to refund one guy for a lost order, I decided to take a break. Fortunately, my area is still in the throws of the post-holiday dry-spell so it isn't really an issue yet. Still, when the IRS finally deposits my 600 bucks I, and my toy retailers, will be very happy to get it.
  22. The "unmasked" one, right? If you squint, it kinda looks like Gal Gadot. The calm helmeted head looks like they just used some no-name model, and the "angry" head . . . looks kinda like Hailee Steinfeld.
  23. Sweet, I got lucky on Zarak and Zork the first time around. Maybe my luck will hold out.
