  1. I wish they were making a more traditional Batman in his blue and grey costume. Maybe done in the style of Norm Breyfogle or Graham Nolan.
  2. It is a good trade!. I've had it myself for at least 5 years now. The stories are alright, but the artwork is spectaular. The reason I treasure that anthology so much is because it is the last time that Batman is seen in a Blue and Grey outfit.
  3. I'm really glad that she gave it her all out there this afternoon. For a rookie, she definiatly promises some stiff compitition this year. Good for her for raising the bar.
  4. Yeah those rich folks can really fool people.....
  5. I say Luke vs. Vader in ROTJ. If you want to see two guys going at it in a swordfight, thats the move you look to. Swordfights dont need to have spectacular acrobatics in order for it to look well made. Thats the reason why I like Return of the jedi. The Episode I fight was on the other hand well done, and I applaud George Lucas for hiring a fight corridinator and trying something different. But the actual fight scenes suffered from too much of a delay between the acrobatics, the two scenes with the ray sheilds, and that pit that Obi-Wan almost fell into. The Fight in ESB was good, but too phsycological. and when Luke lost his hand, it just turned pathetic. In all sorts of ways. Even on Vaders part. When Vader brought up the fact that he was Lukes father in 1980, we thought that was so cool! But now it turns out to almost be a sign of weakness. because all six plots were written in order. And according to the script that we just saw in Episode III, when Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, he lost any shred of humanity that he once had. He was essentially Palpatine's personal kiling machine. So now that Vader brought up the fact that he was Lukes Father in 2005, I was like ....uh, why did he do that?!? Didnt he want to become Darth Vader because of the power the Dark Side of the Force promised him? Thats not cool. Accepting the fact that your Anakin Skywalker...You know....Luke Skywalkers father, is accepting your humanity again. You are essentially relenquishing the fact that your no longer the most powerfull entity in the galaxy.
  6. Beck's is a brand of Beer.
  7. Um, it looks like there's been a mistake. You had the wrong discription. It should read this: Written by Judd Winick; Art by Doug Mahnke and Tom Nguyen; Cover by Matt Wagner In the stunning conclusion of "Under the Hood," the Red Hood is revealed! With the murderous Black Mask controlling the Gotham City underworld, what role will this villainous addition to Batman's Rogues Gallery have when all is said and done? Batman | 32pg. | Color | $2.25 US On Sale March 30, 2005
  8. Based on the context although it's worded poorly, I believe the her is Onyx, while Red Mask is the latest costumed psycho killer. (so no, I believe that the solicit is just worded poorly) You're saying it should read "Onyx has Red Hood on her heels?" That makes more sense with the rest of the paragraph I guess. We'll see. Yes, I believe that is an appropriate rewrite based on the rest of the solicit. Thanks for "make teh grammer good". It doesnt look like a woman. But, could it be Lady Shiva? She knows that when two people exchange blows in hand to hand combat, the evidence it leaves is like a fingerprint. And based on the style it originated from, Batman would be able to trace those moves to the correct assaliant. And Lady Shiva is very aware of this. She has made a livingout of taunting Batman. So maybe it could be her, and maybe that's why she's using a knife.
  9. That could be it. I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks so. I looked back and forth thinking that my monitor was playing tricks with my eyes.
  10. I finally found an Attack Amor Batman today. Whats funny though is that I found it at a flee market. here in Chicago. Someone must have bought it from overseas. The guy sold it to me for relativly cheap. No fuss, no muss, and no fine print.
  11. I have been glancing at pictures of the new 2005 Zipline Batman for the past few minutes, and I noticed that in the sculpt, that there is something different about it. Especially in his upper body. The only problem is that I can put my finger on it. I've compared pictures of the first release to the 3rd release, and I have no idea what it is. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?
  12. Then you might like "Justice League: A New Beginning", a trade paperback chronicalling the beginning of that era of the Justice League. There is also a follow up to A New beginning, "The Secret Gospel of Maxwell Lord" which is a little harder to find. These cover ANB: Justice League 1-6, Justice League International 7. SGML: Justice League International 8 - 12, Annual 1. After that, I recommend tracking down individual issues of Justice League International 13 - 24. These are truely the BEST of that era. Although the spin-off Justice League Europe has an awesome story in #6 about the team attending French language lessons. JLE#6, one of the BEST. Oooo. Thank you very much! I'm going to go track these down now. I read that trade. It's pretty good!. It's the justice league featuring Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, Batman, Green Lantern (Guy Gardner) Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Captain Marvel, Dr. Fate and Dr. Light. There's a scene where Guy Gardner picks a fight with Batman, and Batman takes the guy out in one punch.
  13. Depends...If Lois is portrayed by Famke Jansen, then it may not be that bad continuity wise.
  14. Scarecrow is not in the cartoon. And what bane did you pick up? If he looks human and he's in his traditional outfit, then you have the 6" comic version. The cartoon version is wearing an all black outfir and has red skin.
  15. PJ what is the actual link for this website? EDIT: Nevermind I found it. It was sold out though....damnit!
