Hmmmm @grumpy@
Maybe I'll go hunting after all...
Hmmmmm, no, I would STILL preorder. You're going to save gas money.
I've gotten wave 1 and 2 from cornerstore comics. Had no problems.
how long did it take?
That all depends on the time you placed your pre-order. Most of the time stores like CSC and ETC will put up pre-orders 6-8 months in advance. So if you're one of the first in line, you will get your order a week after they come in. If you pre-order later, your order will come in the next batch.

Just so you guys know, these stores usually ship items out on a first come- first serve basis. So those of you who pre-order items now, will still have to wait a little bit longer. (as opposed to the people who pre-ordered their case back in December)

It doesn't always happen like that.
Well there made in china or Hong Kong so its logical the west coast gets them first
Actually, Mattel has plants in Texas and California. So any domestic distrobution would come from these two plants.

january
I think for safetys sake, a good 15 day buffer for a probable release date would suffice. If you ask me, there is a slim chance that we will see these before christmas, especially since so many online retailers have a late december release punched into their computers. So I think that there is a good chance the first wave of DCUC will arive at some point between Dec 20th and January 6th.
What do you guys think?

I think it's a good way to showcase your product. Number one, the plastic is totally clear which allows the customer to see everything. Number two, the art on the card is essentially yellow and red which makes the blue stand out even more. Future figures might use other colors for the art, but so long as they remain more or less neutral the product stands out clearly. Number three, the name of the series, "DC Universe" is in the upper left corner above the figure and again in a color that is different than the background. Number four, the product specifications are simply stated below the figure on the bottom left. The color used for this mimics the art on the card so it isn't the first thing noticed.
The back of the card shows each figure, in full color and numbers each very boldly. This enforces the BAF concept and tells a consumer what to buy to complete the series. From a fan standpoint I also like the short character bio and the first appearance too.
Overall appealing to the customer, functional from a sales POV, and enough to entice both fan and child alike. Good job Mattel! Now distribute them well so we can all spend our Chris-muah-kwan-adan money on them.
This little feature is gonna be a pain in the butt when Red Tornado is released. It'll be like trying to find Waldo...

Last I heard, characters like Boba Fett, Leia Organa, and Obi-Wan would make minor appearances, whereas characters like Vader, and Palpatine, would make apperances in each episode...And most of the show would be about Order 66. This new development seems like a complete 180.
Here's a link to what I was talking about.

Well Mike, at least this clears the air in certian scenes:
"Hey he's wearing a new set of clothe! He was just in a different set of clothes! Why is he wearing a new set of clothes? OH wait! He's back in his old set of clothes!" Did you see that? It just swithced back to his old set of clothes!"

Yikes...Wasn't expecting them to arrive this soon. If I order just one of the figures from this series, do you think BBTS will ship it out tommorow?

ML13 Green Goblin
Deadpool
Series 1 Captain America

I never liked Molecule Man's costume. And some of Punishers outfits have been hit or miss. (no pun intended).

IMO it should be the other way around........Peter Cullen is Kevin Conroy big....he has been the voice of Batman pretty much from 1989 on when Batman:TAS debuted and kicked all form of ass
BTAS didn't air until September of 1992.

Must be nice to have one of the leading customizers on the net in your back pocket.
If only I had that type of clout....

Do you think it's possible that we'll see this line of figures before Christmas even though they're pushing for a release of January '08?

Hasbro is showing both DD's today and they both look great. As I've said before, I haven't been happy with any of the DD's that have been produced before and I was really hoping that we would get something decent for this main Marvel character, and it looks like we are. Both the FA and the classic Red DD look really good. I'm sorry they arent coming until January but I am psyched they're coming. The Punishers both look good too. Him I didn't really want another figure of since I like the first ML one, but these look so bad-ass I'm going to have to get both.
Totally Agree. This is the best Daredevil figure to be released. Bar None. I love the fact that Hasbro decided to sculpt the symbol on his chest rather than paint it on. It just looks so much more visually striking.
I'm not sure if this will end up being the most saught after figure though, because only a small handful of people own a yellow daredevil, and this new release will more than make up for that lost slack in the collector community. Whereas everyone owns a red Daredevil in one form or another, and are probably just as satisfied with what they have now.

Sorry guys, but there must've been a Mis-communication somehwere...this isn't Crossbones. It's the Punisher in his jungle camo duds from the "Welcome Back Frank" storyline.
I don't think Crossbones was ever a certianty. And if he was, then the people at Hasbro certianly don't know what he looks like.

I think they meant The Icon version and 6" version
Oh...Well we knew that yesterday. Seems weird that they would stick that in an update
-
In the latest SDCC ML update, Outsiders mentioned that there are two versions of the ML cyclops? Is that right???Are you mistaking him for Black Bolt?
If this is true I'll wet my pants!

I think it's high time we saw a new collectors set of X-Wings. Kind of like the Snowspeeder trio we saw from a couple of years ago. Maybe a combo of X-Wings from both Rogue and Wraith Squadrons.

I don't think I want a black and white statue of Alex Ross...

I feel for you buddy. I really do. Chicago is usually the last city on earth to find figures. Especially at walmart and TRU. Tell you what, I may go back to TRU sometime before tuesday, and if they have one, would you like me to grab one for you? No sense in waiting months to find an exclusive. send me a pm if you're interested.

It's not a series three bats. It's a rehashed Bat Signal batman (the one that was only sold overseas) with a longer cape. And it sports it's original hands. The Robin is the same re-release from series 1 which was sold way back in 2003. There is a variant of robin that features him in his standard costume colors.
I picked up this 2-pack about two days ago. It's really sweet.
Is it the Bat-Signal Batman? Because the neck/shoulder cape piece looks like the Attack Armor Batman's. So is it the Attack Armor batman with Bat-Signal Batman's hands and head? Or is it Bat-Signal Batman with AA Batman's cape piece? If it's Bat-Signal Bat's then the hips aren't hinged and it doesn't have the thigh cuts...but if it's AA Bats he should have the hips hinges and thigh cuts. How much did this cost? Any loose pics of Batman? And if possible could you tell us the UPC barcode number or SKU?
Thanks.
Nope it's definatly the Bat Signal batman due to the articulation in the legs.. They don't feature the secondary hip joints, or the mid thigh twist. It cost $ 29.99 . I'm not sure what the UPC code is because I paid for it with cash and I didn't keep the reciept.
Thanks can you post loose pics of the figures? Also are you sure it was $29.99 as someone else is saying it was $19.99 when they bought it. Also if anyone who has it could tell me the barcode number so I can find out when my TRU will be getting it in.. it would be greatly appreciated
Sorry, that's a typo. I meant to say $20.00. Also I really don't have the package anymore because I threw it out after I bought it on Monday. So even if the package is still in the recycling bin, it's still in the bottom of the bin. And I really can't take pics because I don't have a digicam. Can anyone else help?
PJ I'm very curious as to why some stores haven't gotten any of these in yet. They aren't even mentioned on the TRU website. (And these figures are a TRU exclusive)
I'm sure you'll find em at some point. What part of the country do you live in?
-
It`s the overseas batman with batsignal`s head and hands.
No you don't understand, No figures were mixed together. It's just the bat signal batman with a longer cape. That's all it is. Trust me. I own this figure.
It has absolutly no connection to the Attack Armor Batman. Mostly because the Attack Armor Batman has extra articulation in the legs. (Thigh twist and hinge hips) This figure doesn't. Not only that but the neck portion of Attack Armor Batman's cape is smooth, while the Bat Signal Batman has a neck peice that's identical to that of Zip Line Batman's.
All this figure is, is a rerelease. It's nothing special. Just a batsignal batman with a darker wash.

By that time, kenner and then hasbro had the rights to make the figures. Now we have dcd and mattel, and we will have to see if made, who makes it first to the 300 batman. Its really hard to say if we will ever see a 300th batman, but, if was made, which batman would u like to see??
animated, 4HM sculpt, dcd design, minimate, 13 inch?????
Not to mention costume choices. I would personally love to see a NML Batman, but a Bronze Age Batman would be cool too.

You'll never have to wait that long. Two extra weeks at the very latest.
