Hey guys, I've never really posted in this forum, I usually stick to the GI Joe and Star Wars boards (and lurking at that...), but me and my friend got into this debate. He says Anime characters are more powerful than Marvel characters. Example: he's saying Goku from Dragonball could beat anyone from the Marvel universe. I used Silver Surfer or Galactus as my counter-argument, but he's saying no way. He also thinks the Naruto ninjas could take on the X-Men. That's just ridiculous! I realize how dumb this might sound, but there's no way we can settle this without some outside opinions. Any feedback would be appreciated... Topes

Great job on all of these John! I remember wanting to do a project like this once. Still might, if I could ever find the time. I think Wesker would have to be the favorite. How did you make the STARS badges on their sleeves? That's the best part of all of them, IMO.

I don't post around these boards too much, but I thought you guys might like to know this bit of info. The new Saga Collections figs are on the shelves. I'm pretty sure if I found them, then they're out everywhere. I live in Saskatoon, SK, Canada (try finding that one on a map...) and saw them at Zellers today. I picked up the Leia Boussh and Carbonite Solo. I'll try to put up some pics later if I can get my camera to work. Anyways, just thought I'd let yall know... Topes

That SS rules! Nice work, John! Your choice of legs works way better. I like the added ankle articulation. And is the dagger on his waist removable? It kinda looks like it. Man, I wish I had a display setup like that! Those custom boxes are awesome. I've always loved Snake Eyes even if he is a bit overused. It's good to see another Snake Eyes fan's collection. Very nice!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I could finnaly make these the guys the way I wanted them to look after winning a lot of BBI figs on ebay. (It's where I got all the addons - pouches, shells, etc...) For those who would like the parts list: Shockwave Head - Depth Charge w/ Gung Ho hat Torso - 88 Shockwave Upper Arms - ST Night Creeper Lower Arms - Wide Scope Waist, Lower Legs - VvV Beachhead Upper Legs - ST Gung Ho Hardball Head - BBI Swat Torso - Wave 7 Snake Eyes Arms - VvV Alpine Waist - CLAWS Upper Legs - ST Gung Ho Lower Legs - JvC Duke TnT - I just dremelled off the handle of the knife and then drilled it to accomodate the Kamakura dagger. For Hardball, he's just holding the original gun in his hand. Hopefully soon, I'll have Hit & Run and Spearhead ready too. They're next on the list. Hey all, I have a couple of more customs done. 1988 was my favorite year for Joes growing up. I'm 25 now, so back then was the year I was super into Joes. It was the only year where I had every figure on the cardback. Joe collecting went kind of downhill after that. Anyways, here's 2 customs for 2 of my favorite characters: Shockwave and Hardball. I went with the Night Force scheme for Shockwave cuz I never owned one as a kid (still don't, and it was way easier to do...). For Hardball, I just went with the original. That's looking to be the best Jinx custom I've ever seen. Even though it's not done, everyone here knows Joe's paint skills are already top notch. And the parts selection is perfect. I can't wait to see it finished. Topes

Do a rough job with red paint and then clean up the edges with your flesh color (or whatever other color you're using). I've found this to be the easiest way to get straight lines. Hope that helps... Topes

The self custom pictured rules! I've always liked the trenchcoat look on ninjas. It just works. Cool website too!
