  1. (Howdy!... Now that has been a while. I've been busy as hell for MONTHS!... @cry@ ) Well, at first instance, mostly female characters: - Huntress (The same Jim Lee's design, as seen in Hush series... but poseable!) - Zatanna - Starfire - Raven - Hawkgirl - Solomon Grundy - Lobo - Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) - Wildcat - Vandal Savage (missed the old DCD version... Looked a bit like Burt Reynolds but was a pretty good figure)
  2. (Holy heck!… My turn of kiss some asses comes right now, buddies @loll@ ) Hi everyone. Well, all of this may reads like an awful cliché, but I do already feel a bit embarrassed because several other people made their efforts in order to do something for everyone of us to enjoy, and most of them are long-time members at this site indeed. Now, among the multiple submissions to this contest there are some really good lines of inventive humour. And for me, I made this pic just to have some fun and -let's say- because I actually had a crush on Scarlett as a kid so I thought the gag could be amusing and sexy at same time. I wasn't expected to win so this comes as an awesome surprise, and I'm glad you liked it too. Thanks, a lot! Greetings… ----- P.S. Special feature: Making off… Scarlett Pin-up version... Adding it to the background Enter the Snake (the figure was modiffied with pshop and his head taken from another pic to get him looking at his side) Full scene (no dialogue)
  3. Nah... I wanted a new Red Tornado figure. @grumpy@
  4. Follow the link below to the article: DCD - New Gods Mod Note: Image Removed Now, my question is... which Darkseid seems to be the best? Mattel's from DCSH collection or this one? I'd love to know.
  5. Me too. However, I really like my JLA WW anyway. I'll replace Diana from my shelf only if this figure from the upcoming series results to be a noticeable improvement over my first one.
  6. Top 5 Heroes Batman Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) Superman Wonder Woman Green Arrow Top 5 Villains The Joker Brainiac Darkseid Two Face Poison Ivy
  7. I do already have the first one with the white t-shirt, could've been better but is a pretty good figure anyway. Supergirl looks cute and feminine, and fits very well among my other DCD figures. Now, I'm looking forward to this new, repainted version of Darkseid. Holy heck! in my opinion, this is by far the best figure of the series.
  8. Yes. I've seen it. Pretty cool stuff... How do these guys in Hollywood take so long, and too much money to release a superhero flick? ("Wonder Woman" was played by an argentinian model and actress called Pamela David, former TV hostess at the Playboy channel for Latin America and gave her voice to the spanish version of "Stripperella")
  9. Well, it's a bit hard to believe. And would be awesome if they can get Brandon Routh and Chris Bale to reprise their respective famous roles. Now, I'm hoping for Lena Headey to get the Wonder Woman role (some sources around the net say Eva Green is the most serious runner-up for the upcoming motion picture) and Ryan Reynolds could be pretty cool as The Flash. There's only a big problem: the amount of money needed to pay a great ensemble cast with big names in the list would be a lot more than the budget for SFX. That's a matter of undeniably fact.
  10. Agreed. These figures are cool as usual, but I'd rather prefer to see more classics characters made up for this line. Two-face, Supergirl, Dr. Fate, Catwoman, Darkseid...
  11. The sculpt used for this O'Brien figure would make an AWESOME Rogue?

Hooray! I've been waiting sooo long for a cool Shazam figure for my DC shelf... @bananna@
  13. Agreed. But I'd love to see a new Red Tornado figure anyway
  14. This is how things happened: I've just managed to grab my Lex Luthor figure (the one from the Crisis on Infinite Earths series), one figure which I've been looking for so long, big time. Now, I do already understand about these kind of action figures aren't exactly "toys", but more memorabilia items for mature collectors or, let's say, people capable to pay their expensive prices. So then? Short after taking the figure out of its display, it can't stand any longer because the ball joint of the left leg was broken. That cheap plastic snap very easily. Crap... Anyway, something quite similar had already happened to me before, when I bought my Huntress (Hush) figure, and this time the weak piece was the forearm with the gun, which popped out at the first movement and I realized the joint was so severely damaged, that I had to fix it with some powerful adhesive. Goodbye to that point of articulation. My Robin figure from the Contemporary Teen Titans series and Wonder Woman from JLA, In both cases the head popped out too. What the hell... I mean, I'm a very careful guy. I've been collecting comics, compact discs and movies since more than a decade ago, but having to deal with these issues of bad quality in (as all evidence suggests) overpriced products really pisses me off... Damn it...
  15. - Lois Lane. A better, sexier one designed to fit along with canonic Supes figure from JLA series released by DCD some time ago. - Supergirl in her classic outfit... I like the red miniskirt. - Gangbuster. - The Guardian. - Lex Luthor, but portrayed as the powerful bussinessman he indeed is, not wearing that repetitive battle-armor... for some reason I've always have found it sort of, well, silly.
  16. Hooray!... Can't wait until this one gets released. Booster Gold and Animal Man in the same line. Cool. Now... Will ever be an improved Dr. Fate figure? I mean, one to fit among these ones and the rest of my Justice League collection (I'm not talking about the collection based in Alex Ross' designs)
  17. O well, I'd love it if the actual Darkseid figure is THAT huge indeed...
  18. Hawkgirl looks astounding, so does the Alex Ross' Hawkman too (since I was slightly disappointed with the Identity Crisis one... those bulky oversized arms spoiled all). My picks for this season will definitely be Hawkgirl, Powergirl and Firestorm. That reissued Lobo is another one I'm looking forward big time. (Too bad these DCD figures are quite a bit expensive. My guilty pleasure)
  19. Er... I don't know if you have already noticed this, but these Supergirl and Steel figures are so nicely sculpted and highly detailed because of their large size in comparison to the basic 6" figures in the DCSH series. Just take a look at the following pics below
  20. I'm just wondering how do these figures fit in scale and painting among my others DC Direct figures in the same shelf, buddies...
  21. DC Direct. Well, despite some flaws in the scale between collections and the lack of articulations, has done a great job with the cool sculpting for such classic characters. Some of my favorites. Wonder Woman from the first JLA series. Man, I'm in love of her. The Flash from the same collection is a superb figure too, and Superman... That Superman. by far the best Superman figure ever made.

I Bought them both and found them quite a bit expensive, too. But these books are pure art and worth the price. The book one comes with an extra sheet at the beginning (The legend of Batman) and an introduction by Jeph Loeb. A gallery for the series' covers are at the end of each volume and some awesome sketches by Jim Lee in book 2. Next to Travis Charest's "Wildcats: Street Smart", Hush is my favorite HC piece in my comic book shelves.

    Fall Toy Fair

The scale killed that line for me....they're just to damn big! I agree!. Gee, I thought I was the only one. Just a week ago I bought Black Canary and Aquaman from Series 2... Black Canary fits very good with the rest of my figures (not to mention this one is really awesome indeed, the hottest female character ever made and love the fishnet stockings too...), but Aquaman... Curse it! It's taller than Supes, quite bulky and that metalized painting... and about the head, well, he not only looks like young Michael Caine on steroids or something, but the rotation just allow an horizontal movement and doesn't have the same pivotal articulation like the rest of the DCD series. (These are my first DCD Alex Ross figures... and the last ones) Too bad that Joker figure is really terrific, but I won't buy that. Now I'm looking forward for future releases, awaiting for a better one to fit in the scale of my collection. (I Don't fully liked the Hush Joker either) IC Hawkman is already at the top of my wish list, and Green Arrow looks pretty fine, but I'm not that sure if this one could replace the Hard Travelling Heroes GA.
