  2. Would anyone be interested in joining another Fantasy Football League as well ?

I have 6 people currently in my other one but would theoretically like to have 8. I need to know as soon as possible because we're drafting via e-mail since it is easier for most of the people in the league.

    Thanks Guys.

  3. Great job on the Previews for this season UB and thanks for the reminder PM. The draft is so close I can taste it, it'll be nice to get a better draft place then last year but we shall see. I'm also curious to see if all 18 teams will show up for the draft.

Either way, will the Maverick Hunters repeat on their impressive debut season and make an appearance in the championship game again ? Let's hope so ! I would like to finish with a better regular season record this time, last year it was 7-7.

  4. Always great to hear from "fans" who are ready to flush a movie down the toilet just because the Teaser wasn't any good (especially when they don't even understand the purpose of a Teaser).

    From Wiki:

A teaser trailer is a short trailer intended to entice the audience about an upcoming movie and to begin hype on major films. Sometimes it is merely a truncated version of a theatrical trailer, but this is most often not the case.

Teaser trailers, unlike the typical theatrical trailer, are usually very short in length (between 30-60 seconds) and usually contain little, if any, actual footage from the film. The purpose of the teaser trailer is not to show a bunch of out-of-context clips in order to give the audience an understanding about the movie's plot or theme, but rather to let them know that the movie is coming up in the near future, and to add to the hype of the upcoming movie event. Teaser trailers are often made while the film is still in production or being edited and as a result they may feature scenes or alternate versions of scenes that are not in the finished film. Teaser trailers today are increasingly focused on internet downloading and the convention circuit.

This Teaser accomplished everything it was supposed to. Just because you don't get it, doesn't mean it failed....

Hold on there one sec jimbo, since I was the only one that said anything negative about it I'm assuming this was directed towards me.

Where, anywhere in my statement, did I flush the entire movie down the toilet ? Oh that's right, NOWHERE. Stop being such a ninny.

  5. I thought the trailer was terrible, it showed nothing...if it hadn't have said "Transformers" at the end I wouldn't have had any clue that's what the trailer was about.

It was a "teaser". It was not supposed to show anything.. It's sole purpose is to get peoples interests peaked.

Well it didn't do a good job of that either.

  6. I was one of the people very vocal in my displeasure of 2 WR spots last year. However, I have to agree that with this many teams I just can't see 3 WR slots being feasable.

Anyways the draft could be moved back to 2pm ? If not it's fine, I just work midnights and normally wake up right at 1pm :P

As long as UB continues his updates throughout the season all will be well. Honestly those really made last season :)

  7. Alright, so my girlfriend and I will be heading to BC in September on vacation. Although I won't have a lot of time, I'm hoping to spend maybe one day out of the week heading out to the various comic and toy shops around good'ol BC. (Collectible Card Game type stores are also wanted)

Here's where you guys come in, I've been using the Yellow Pages online to try and find places, but I really don't know what is worth it and what isn't. I don't require directions or anything just the name of the place and the address so I can Mapquest it. If you could give me some details on the place as well that would be great. My girlfriend has lived in Vancouver and Maple Ridge previously so we shouldn't have a problem finding our way around.

We will be staying in Maple Ridge and Vancouver, but places in Mission, Coquitlam and Port Moody are also possible if theres anything of value there. In Vancouver we'll be staying at a Hotel close to Stanley Park so anything way on the other side of the city, unless really worth it probably would be too far.

Any help is greatly appreciated !
