  1. they hit north carolina and upstate new york so they are hitting the east coast now.
  2. head out to KB at 12am for thier black friday opening!
  3. Awww c'mon just look at it! Don't you wannnt it! Just buy it, and if worse comes to worse you could return it maybe. Maybe we'll get lucky and NO ONE will buy one and they go clearance. Target seems to be very unforgiving for merchandise that does not move quickly. Senate Battle Packs, Lava Titanium Vader and Target Unleashed re-releases all went Clearance very quickly. clearance? hmmm....not a bad idea. if I stash one and wait for clearance, I can snag one for $15! is this the same exact shuttle as the fao? same marking and stuff?
  4. I would vote for the current one but the friggin thing dont move! its a playset!
  5. I got my banthas and rancor for $5 a pop and $10 for the at-at's! Which is why we haven't seen them in the past 10-odd years, and now that we have, they are exclusive. I don't get this "it sucks because I have it already" attitude that permeats this board. Since 2000, THOUSANDS of kids and collectors have jumped into the line, and for them, this is the first time a lot of this is available. Nothing is forcing a lot of you to buy this version, this is for the people who missed it last time around or kids. I'm not convinced you won't sell them for Christmas. A LOT of parents buying Star Wars for kids are going to recognize the ships, and likely get them for little billy. And once again, what is prevalent in YOUR area is not an indicator of national success. Adam Pawlus at Galactic Hunter reported that some areas were starting to sell out of the ships, and that there weren't any more in the warehouses. I HATE when people claim high end items shelfwarmers just weeks before the holiday buying season goes full force. Yeah you have a lot, so does everyone else so stores have plenty on hand you dont get this I don't get this "it sucks because I have it already" attitude well, maybe you would if you were collecting everything released since its reintroduction in 95. Its a waste of time and money for us hard core collectors. Ive actually become wise to Hasbro's master plan and stopped collecting everything for the first time in 11 years. I stopped when they bought out the HOF & GH waves.
  6. I got my banthas and rancor for $5 a pop and $10 for the at-at's!
  7. thats not a ship....its a battlestation! I would say the gunship, then the queens starship if it wasnt so flimsy. it has a chock full of features. I pray one day they will retool the Falcon to incoperate a "walking coridor" from the cockpit to the main body of the ship, like in the 1983 die cast falcon.
  8. because the dynamic is completely different. traditionally the other mediums (cartoons, comics) were simply complimentary mediums for the toys, thus Hasbro created the toys they wanted to sell and the comics and cartoons promoted them, but Hasbro wasn't making toys based on the elements in the cartoons or comics. the film is different. it is a medium in which the toys and the film are working hand in hand, thus Hasbro is making toys of what is in the movie, thus these toys make sense. this movie will suck as much as CLERKS 2. OH WELL.......I guess I'll buy the bootleg like I did with CLERKS 2 as well.
  10. Ha! $45. I remember getting one on clearance for at least 1/3rd that price back in 1999. It retailed for $30 when it was new, so again, TRU exclusive = 50% mark-up over original retail. Where's Target when you need them? Which tusken raider figure they'll use? The original one that came with it, with the oh-so-sucky arm poses or the VOTC one, which might not sit on the beast properly. I expect this one to be a dust collector. The x-wing, the Tie fighter and gunship (which doesn't seem to be selling well yet) are action vehicles. The bantha was just scene dressing. I got one at thirty dollars back in the day then toys r us was getting rid of them for a mere five dollars. thats why I hit the jackpot!
  11. The line is living...somewhat. I like it this way so it give me a break from spending.
  12. just lock them up or put them inside a room no one knows about.
  13. Good deal. I remember working at a place back in 1995 that sold pools during summer and toys in the winter and we had tons of these figures for $2 each.
  14. I plan on making a couple of pieces of furniture from foamcore board with patterns printed out from various websites that have cool scale pieces. Fortunately, on the way home yesterday I found 3 of the bunks/locker sets from Power Team. I was going to buy them from Marauder - they really are good there - but these things were about the same price and came with 3 figures each set! It's hard to turn that down. Now I've got a group of generic soldiers that I'm sure the cobras will be ambushing very soon.... The M113 is very cool and perfect for Joes! I was lucky enough to pick up two from a Wal-Mart clearance aisle about two years ago. If I recall correctly they were each $5! I plan on making my second one a UN Peacekeeper vehicle. That way the Joes can sweep in and pull their arses out of the fire when the crap hits the fan. it sounds really cool. - do you still have it/can you post pics? I was a bit limited on the size of this thing by the space available in my basement. As it is I've slated the majority of the space - an entire kitchen table to my Cobra Island set up. I also want to display my Flagg, but I think I will have to create some sort of rolling platform that can be stored under the Cobra Island table in order to make it fit in the basement. Well, that's a ways away yet - maybe next Spring. No, unfortunetly I dont. I had it in my garage for a couple of years then I had to move it to the backyard due to the lack of room. then when I moved out, it was tossed to the garbage, with much of my 82 and up boxes! but let me tell you, the base was awsome. all it needed was some more paint (so it would match the one in cartoon) and it would have been mint. Once in a while, I think about making another one but I still wont have the room for it!
  15. Not bad but th PITT I created was the one from the actualy GI JOE cartoon (the big HQ with the laser in the front) I made it in woodshop in 87 and it was so big, I had to make into 3 sections. the overall length was about 5 feet long, 2 feet deep and it was 2-3 feet high. inside there were 2 levels and plenty of room to do whatever you wanted. Of couse, I got tons of "what the hell is that supposed to be" from the other kids in the class. I simply told them it was a "coffee table" and they looked at my as if I was buying weed from the other burnout in the class!
  16. I got the dvd at a garage sale for $1. one of the best deals besides getting Queen Amidala's star ship with red rs unit for $3!
  17. My friend found the 2nd series of the 3 K-mart exlcusive Cantina sets last week. Funny thing is that I think it was an old stash of mine from 5 years ago!
  18. I like these, but Im only going to stash a couple of these. Ive been collecting way too much lately!
  19. I had friends that took my joes. I ended up slashing theyre tires later on.
  20. leave it to a guy from Massapequa to make everyone laugh!
  21. ah.....I have the figure but not the vehicle. does he have a "yellow" mask underneath?
  22. pardon my ignorance, but who is the figure in front of the line? on the far left?
  23. how can you pre-order it online when it says you can only purchase it in stores and not online? $60 is a bargain compared to the price FAO was charging at $100 and there werent even any figures included! (or were there?)
