  1. Im friggin pissed! check this out: I was digging through a bag of assorted gi joe weapons I picked up over the summer at a garage sale. One piece that stood out was Roadblock #1's gun with tripod. I looked at it and I was like "oh nice! its in mint condition!" so I place it to the side and walk over to some more toys. as I was coming back, my wife walks into the garage and distracts me as Im about to kneel down.......right onto the tri pod! I ended up cracking one of its legs. Im so pissed!!! is this piece still a hard one to come by?

  2. Amazing, they hit the north east.I found wave 8 2 times at the TRU in my area.I didn't see anything after I got off work the afternoon.Ken,Appo is going to be a tough one for me to find. Can you help me out?

Sure, but I dont get out often on toy runs much. I got a call from a friend that found these this morning. I was told that there were 4 cases there but only 2 and change when I got there. My only shot of finding them is if they hit walmart.

  3. Your one hard man to please, VH.

    Not necessarily.

I've been around a long time with this hobby, and have been "pleased" with quite a majority of it, but over the last 5 years or so there's definitely been some bad design changes, and various gimmicks added.

We're all so desperate for G.I.Joe product (the non-Sigma Six camp anyway) I'd have to think that many here are not looking objectively ENOUGH at this FIRST shot of the 25th anniversary edition?

I see some major flaws and crappy features on it, first and foremost the lack of an O-ring, and I don't think that feeling is going to improve with time or having one in HAND.

its not the actual figure, its just a drawing.

Actually, it's a prototype figure that's been photoshopped like crazy.

I would normally concur with you but the picture has way too many shadows on it for its tiny size which leads me to believe it is a drawing. but we shall see when the final product is released.

  5. i have the set of those x-troop figures i bought a few years back cuz i thought it might me cool to have a handful of knock offs. they are pretty poor quality especially in the paint apps, but i never opened them so i cannot comment on the actual quality, but they are kinda funny.

dont bother opening them until they start falling apart in the package.

  6. Wow, didn't think I'd be back in this section!! But gotta say, now that I'm out of ML, I may be back with this new line!!

And I don't care if they don't fit with the current Joes, I'd rather have these awesome looking figures!!

My only comlaint, the sandals!! My Stormshadow does not wear sandals!! :D

Oh and please, please, please make Lady Jaye without the hat!! That's all I ask!! Lose the stupid hat!!

well, well, well. look at what the cat dragged in.

  7. Here are a few pics of some of the more recent Joe bootlegs I have found:

These are mostly Extreme Troop and X-Troop figures but there are a few others in there as well. When I added these awhile back I think I may have incorrectly labeled some of them as by definition a bootleg is an unauthorized copy of a toy (usually poor quality) whereas a knock-off is a toy by a legitimate company based on an existing toy.

If anyone has pics of others please post 'em!

    Dan

I found some of these at a local discount store for a couple of bucks each. funny thing is that most of them had thier o-rings broken. cheap material, I guess.

oh, and the baroness's hair was placed too way high up on top of her head and gave her a forehead twice as big as before. these things are still hanging on the pegs!

  8. If I remember correctly, that's not actually Carrie Fisher singing. They had to dub it due to drug and alcohol rekated reasons. It appear miss Fisher is quite the party girl.

lmao! just look at her parents!
