  1. I get 25% anything this month thanks to someone in my organization whose got a relative workin for Hasbro.
  2. well, they obviously screwed up because we already got info from someone from toys r us here. besides, target would b i t c h and moan that it is "too big" for thier shelves.
  3. I still regret passing up the clearance ATAT's. I thought they would go cheaper. They didn't. I remember getting them for $10 at TRU, too. I left 10 behind and some other scalper bough the rest. also, for some odd reason, REBELSCUM's "QUESTION MARK" is reporting that the AT-AT is a "TARGET EXCLUSIVE". @loll@ 6 Have you heard anything about a 3¾" [scale] AT-AT for this year? I read reports of an Endor theme one at years end/beginning but nothing else. I probably haven't heard much more than you have; one is slated to be a Target exclusive later this year, and it is expected to feature an 'Endor' deco (probably just a little green and brown paint on the foot pads…). I'm sure we'll have more news on this as it surfaces, but for now that's pretty much it in a nutshell.
  4. Well, they finally hit my side of long island and theres one thing that puzzles me.........all the UGH figures have the "silver" chase figures! I thought this was supposed to be a rare thign whereas they are "1" per case? I mean, the whole thing is filled with silver figures! what a scam, hasbro!
  5. well, I got a phone call this morning and my friends scored them at walmart and target this morning. I slept in, too. dammit!
  6. still havent hit long island yet but some kid over at scum actually shelled out over $120 for all 10 at AMOKE TIME and he got the TARGET GREIVOUS for $25. boy, someone saw him coming!
  7. the 12" figures sat on new york toy store shelves for a long, long time. they still do, as a matter of fact. I dont know why distribution was poor by your area.
  8. I hope the tv show will make the toy line last. I would love to see it do well. I just they try and "jump the shark" by putting in charcters to liven up the show, like Darth Vader's little cousin who was orphaned due to the empire's destructive tour and needs to live at the death star.
  9. actually, the contract is until 2018. I dont see them riding it all the way there. they will probably bail a few years before that, like KENNER did. So many people get sick of the prices fluctuating and the same figures over and over again.
  10. I'm just going for the chase figure. I admit, this new series does suck. it sucked me right in!
  11. my walmart received that wave a month ago. that was the last time they received any figures. I left them because I had already gotten scorch and the cody's grunt at target a week earlier.
  12. STAR WARS COMES TO TV (KP International) It has been announced to the joy of Star Wars fans everywhere that George Lucas's world of Jedi knights and wookies will live on in a 100-episode TV series. The 'Star Wars' movie series ended with last year's prequel 'Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.' That's just where the series will begin, following Luke Skywalker and other beloved characters growing up, as well as the rise of Darth Vader's evil Empire. The series will attempt to fill in the blanks of the 20-year span between Episodes III and IV. Don't expect to see any familiar faces from the galaxy far far away, though. The only castmember currently scheduled to appear in the series is Anthony Daniels, who plays C3PO. "We're very excited we just got confirmation George Lucas has committed himself to writing the 'Star Wars' TV series. I guess this is the news all fans have been waiting to hear," said series producer Rick McCullum. "Hopefully if we can make it work and everybodys excited and watches it we will keep on going. I bet were going to see more up close and personal stories with background characters like the cantina aliens, jabbas goons and the bounty hunters. Of course, we'll see R2 & C3PO and the rest of the gang.
  13. CODY wins. I only saw him 3 times so far. Scorch I have seen over a dozen times already.

  15. true but my son wanted them. why not let him get the toys he wants?
  16. oh boo-hoo, synch! your breaking my heart! you failed to read in my post that another case was bought out to me almost immediately so it didnt really matter much. besides, he told the cashier he would never come back to that store again. he was a collector. I mean, how many people stop at target on thier way to work specifically for star wars figures at opening and are not collectors? only collectors.
  17. I dont know whats going on. I reported last week that the toy department manager told me the figures were going to be "clearanced" yet they are supposed to get another 96 pieces in.
  18. Check the post time. I was in the middle of typing my reply when you posted yours Either way, that guy should not have been hovering over you to see what you're looking through. He should have been scrounging through his own peg until you left or moved onto another peg. yea, thats what Im saying. I can remember the last time Target had anticipated a big crowd and they had said that there was only to be one person at a time at the racks, to prevent a possible fight. I was there, at the pegs first. I felt like bending the card right before I let it go but I didnt. i glad the manager pulled out a second case for me.
  19. why should I stash at this store? They still have the star wars figures @ $5.89.
  20. well, I was on the bottom left hand hook, there were 7 other hooks for him to choose from.
  21. well, I was at Target this morning, knowing they were putting out the new wave today. I spotted another collector so my son ran in ahead of us (my advance scout) so he could pick up the new figures. I get to the section and my son has some new figures in his hand. I quikly scan the pegs to see which has the most figures, the bottom left peg has the most. so, I grab the 1st, then the 2nd, then the 3rd, making my way to the wall. then, the next thing you know is some guy grabs onto the next figure that I already had my hands on! it was CODY. I told that guy that I had my hands on him first. then he said he had his hands on it first. well, common collecting tells me if your at one hook, no one really should grab from that hook. your supposed to wait your turn. thats what I was taught. this guy starts crying that he is there everyday, waiting for the same figures. I told him straight out that he was a "liar" because I am there every morning, at 8am and he is never there. he then says he is in later in the morning. his story seems to change. anyway, my friend goes in the back and pulls out a fresh case. in it, he has the rest of the figures that he took. as I was at the register, the cashier told me that guy before me was pretty pissed and he said "im never coming to this store again after this trouble I put up with". I would have said nothing to the guy only if stayed off the hook I was grabbing from.
  22. you're right. they do have signs now, but back in 97, there werent any signs posted anywhere in the store. later, when we insisted to show us signs about their new rules, they then posted them up.
  23. How do many of you feel about manners towards other collectors? I mean, if you walk up to a star wars section, and theres pegs and pegs of figures, and you happen to starting picking from that first peg, then you stay with that peg because there are a bunch of new figures there, does anyone have a right to start pulling from that peg that you are on? or should they wait their turn?
  24. I know they practically made this rule up because all the collectors in the nassau area would go to this store at 8am and they would buy up everything. they told us that there was a limit on the collectibles but who was to say what was a collectible and what wasnt? as you could tell, us collectors werent very welcomed in that target store for a while. there was about a dozen of us, too.
