  1. I havent opened a gi joe figure since 1993. But I do buy loose ones at garage sales to please my hunger in owning them loose.
  2. heres another one, taken a few months later:
  3. thanks, there are some 12" figures that I got later on that i didnt have time for the photos, like the 12" mortal kombat and the fan club exclusive gi joe/cobra figure, where you had to sew the outfits togther to make it look like the cover. many of the figures that dont seem familar are because the outfits were "sold seperatly" and I had to buy "grunt" figures. the outfits were sometimes matchin the actually gi joes and some didnt.
  4. Where abouts in Manhattan are you in? there are some Targets in the surrounding boroughs that carry these figures as well. I also have seen them at Toys R Us a couple of weeks ago. you should be checking those stores, especially with the sale TRU has right now. actually i am in queens, tru times square is stuck on the hoth wave. the kb in manhattan has some new figs with a ton of yodas and the genosians. the targets in queens are up to the scorch wave. tru in queens have rots figs and some hoth waves too. ah, your only one county over from me. Im in Nassau. You should avoid NYC altogether and just stick to the Queens stores and hit the Nassau stores, like the Target in Valleystream, by the green acres mall. theres also a walmart in the mall and a Toys r us. you can probably get everything you need right there. Nyc is a bad spot because its tourist central and everyone and there mother hits the times square stores. the toys r us's on long island are well into the CODY cases. you probably missed them at the manhattan toys r us.

  7. There are 2 Vietnam packs as of today .... I was going to get one as a double but passed...you might want to go back and grab it... yup...keepin it real in NYC dont forget the outter boroughs and long island!

  9. I collect the old school, but I dont pay the insane prices, I usually score them at garage sales.
  10. are you talking about the thing that was rereleased a year ago to BJ'S WHOLESALE CLUB? I picked one up at a garage sale for $3 a couple of summers ago.
  11. no prob! youre going to have tons of fun with it. I had first tried downloading this way back in 1999 just so I could play Atari's Arcade "RETURN OF THE JEDI" and I had it working for 2 minute until I screwed t up. My friend walked me through it last year and I have been having fun ever since. I have alwys been an arcade junkie and I had wished for years that the original games be released in thier original state but systems like SONY, NINTENDO, XBOX were coasting alot to maintain and this MAME is totally FREE. thats the best part! can you believe there is a service that allows you to play these same exact games online for a monthly fee? theyre trying to do the same thing as they did to Napster. dam theives! Yeah, it's pretty cool... Man, I remember playing a lot of these games in the ol' arcades as a kid! Awesome... As for the monthly service fees for games and songs... Well, if people feel they're being immoral by not paying, whatever. As far as I'm concerned, this is just sharing, and it's not piracy unless someone's making money by selling this stuff illegally, so I'm with you! exactly, as long as no one profits off of it, it's 100% ok.

  13. well, first off.....you dont have to download the disc that comes with it. you should be able to plug it right into your computer and it will search for the device. it takes a couple of minutes. other than that, it should work perfectly. most games will work with it. others may have diffaculties. but for a good majority of them, you really shouldnt have a problem. GI JOE gave me no problems. some other games require more ram on your computer, like sega's arcade 'star wars trilogy". there is so much power it requires for that one. but if your talking about the way the game pad reacts in most games, you will have to go into your: 1. mame "options" 2. "default game options" 3. "controllers" 4. "analog deadzone" and decrease it by 5 increments, until you feel that you have acheived the right speed for your controller.
  14. it takes a while to finish either game, but I eventually finished it. if any of you guys are feeling "retro" with MAME, you could order this: http://www.hanaho.com/products/HotRodJoystick/overview.html only $100 but its worth it.
  15. great job!!!! It remind me of the GI JOE Headquarters I built in woodshop in 1987. It looked identical to the one in the GI JOE cartoons, minus the center gun. mine was about 6 feet long, and it was built in 3 segments (i actually bought this home on the bus!) and people would ask what the hell it was. I would feel embarrassed and I told them it was a wall unit/coffee table! but yours is awsome!
  16. for those of you that enjoy playing video games with joysticks, pick up the LOGITECH "DUAL ACTION" controller. it retails at $20 and you wont have to use the keyboards anymore.
  17. I sure as he ll remember it. I finished it, too. I used to work in an arcade and I just gave myself unlimited credit! I also have it on MAME. God bless the internet!
  18. *sniff* do I smell the rotting carcas of Sigma Sux around the corner?
  19. it would be nice to have an ewok village to go along with em!
  20. Because Bespin doesn't warrant a full wave. While most waves have a unified theme, you cannot place a figure just by it's theme. There are simply too many figures Example: The Utapan Clone Trooper is wave 3 despite being closer related to wave 4. Scorch and Foul are both EU classified well, maybe they shouldnt have called him "bespin darth vader" then. they could have given him to another wave.
  21. can someone try explaining to me why "Bespin Darth Vader" is in the "Tatooine" wave? I dont ever recall Tatooine in The Empire Strikes Back.
