  1. Well that answers my question! Damn WME! Guess if I don't find one when I go up to the con I'll have to ask for hookups! Wonder how rare these will be if I should wait till the 31st or not...

1 local Walmart received 4 cases today and they said they would not be getting anymore in.

Now, If I had a penny for everytime I heard that I'd be a millionaire!

  2. heres the story, I had the sky striker complete, my original one. About 1 1/2 years ago my step son was "playing" with it and dropped off the garage roof and it shattered, I only was able to salvage pieces, the missles, the seats out of the plane, the parachute pack and two of the wings, one of the small ones and a piece of the big one. So when I get this Sky Striker from Ebay I can use the parts from my old one and replace whatever is missing on this one.

hopefully I have everything I need

ouch! what was your kid doing on the garage roof anyway? with your skystriker no less!

  3. as for beachhead and wet-suit, I doubt it. We havent even got an Torpedo, yet. why would they make a wetsuit before Torpedo?

Besides, it looks like a classic line.

We're also getting an 88 Storm Shadow before other more prominant 84 and 85 figures. And if Draven is correct (which I suspect he is) we're getting SERPENTOR before characters like Firefly, Dial-Tone, Dusty, or Shipwreck.

The biggest reasons I see for us getting Wetsuit and not Torpedo are:

Trademarks= Wetsuit is easier to secure and is IN USE, thus the name will be easier to use than reregistering Chief Torpedo (which last I knew, had expired)

Character Recognition= Wetsuit was heavily featured in the second season of the cartoon, more so than Torpedo was in previous seasons. He also saw greater character reuse than Torpedo. At this stage, Wetsuit is largely the more prominant Joe diver

I dont believe trade marks have anything to do with it. Torpedo isnt such a type of word you can trademark, nor is wetsuit. those were words used way before gi joe was even born. besides, Torpedo was used much more than Wetsuit in the cartoons.

chief torpedo? Im not familar with that name. that name, can get trademark.

  4. As long as I can get a Beachhead, Airtight, and Wet-Suit... I will be very happy! :)

If we get a Barbecue, we will get an Airtight.

  5. I seriously doubt we'll see any of these within the "25" realm:

    Beachhead

    Serpentor

    B.A.T

    Mindbinder

It clearly looks like they are concentrating on 82-85, the classic figures.

86 bascially was a joke year, replacing the core characters for wimpy ones (doc for lifeline, stalker for beachhead, cobra guards & seiges for BATS & cobra commander for...serpentor. he was the biggest joke of the year.)

I disagree with you, All those you listed as jokes, are popular characters. Your opinion is cool and yours, but why call out a lot of other fan favorites as jokes? Anyways, Serpentor better be made. He deserves a new mold. @firedevil@

Yes, they were jokes. They were bought in to replace the classics. So why would Hasbro re-release them NOW. You'll see, you wont see Serpie, Mianframe, dial tone, beach head, leatherneck or the vipers.

    Serpentor popular? @loll@

  7. cool thanks for the dpci

    LU-CKKKKEE!

My friend just went to a Target and they wouldnt let him have it. they said they cant put it out till the 25th.

However, he was able to score a case of TAC figs. The guy said he couldnt let him have the whole case so he took some army builders. he walked down the aisle minutes later and saw the rest of the case the employee didnt let him have. go figure!

  8. A couple of Target's here in Kansas City have the Vader with Coin Album in stock. The problem? They wouldn't sell them, stating that there was a street date of March 27th for them. Just thought this could help some fellow board members.

whats th dcpi # on it?

  9. I wonder if that's how his head wound up as part of the Cantina in Mos Eisley?

YEA, I heard there were 5 all together and they went "solo" and killed thier creator. But I also heard only 1 (IG88) was involved with the bounty of Han Solo. I saw the one on the cloud city and I remembered a story that Boba had killed him off when they both arrived at Bespin. I saw the discoloration and thought it may have something to do with the flames being so close. I just though that one was THE IG88 that was killed off by Boba.
