  1. Heya guys. I want to finally put together a "database" for WI area Joe fans, to include the Michigan UP, Northern IL, and Western MN & IA (i.e. Rochester, MN, the Cities, etc). I think its high time that we got something organized (like those dern Joe-hioans have done! lol) & the first step in doing that is getting a "head count" and/or contact list together. Once we have that, anyone will be able to go to the database & put together any Joe meeting they want (for whenever or wherever), be it a toy swap, mini Joecon, TCG tourney, etc. So here's where the database has been set up guys (note.. you may need to cut this & paste it in your browser's address bar to get it to work): http://p221.ezboard.com/fmagnumtocfrm14.sh...opicID=37.topic If you're a WI or WI area Joe fan, please sign up.. even if you can't make any meetings for a while. We can at least keep you in the loop if you do & perhaps eventually you will be able to attend a WI area event. Thanks guys, Peace. ~'Drew
  2. OH HECK!!! lol.. I can do one WAY better than that. Here, check this out. A wave 6 set.. get ready.. $44.99 SHIPPED!!! Somebody out there is actually charging you $10 more for a set shipped? Yikes. @hmmm@ They are IN stock at the HQ & ready to go. Unless you guys enjoy spending more than you have to.. you gotta check out the www.GIJoeHQ.com's prices. OMG. (And don't forget that your complete discounted total isn't figured until you total your cart & you're just about to click "send". ) Here's a direct link bruthas: http://www.gijoehq.com/catalog/product_inf...678730ed5e5496f Hope this helps. Peace.
  3. Yeah, I gotta say, that's really weird. The only thing I can think of is that these are NOT "newly produced re-releases", but instead surplus that needs to be sold. I know that GI Joe was completely canceled in Oz, for instance, and perhaps these were ear marked for Australian sales but since Joe fell through there, they're going to be instead redistributed in the U.S. I mean, things like this do happen sometimes & companies can't just throw away large shipments of extra toys. (Not that I am happy about it, but it seems to be the most plausible answer).
  4. I've found exactly ONE Utrom.. but that's it. I've seen everything else multiple times, even 7 or 8 Baxter Stockmans (in some kinda weird mechanical spider suit) at various places. Yet the Utrom pack is the only one that I want 3 or 4 of.. Murphy's law of course. Does anyone know of they are short packed.. or what the deal is with them? I wonder of Playmates is finally starting to get more "typical" with their case assortments.. that is, creating rare & common figures to fan the collector flames, etc.
  5. Well, I've got all 3 individuals from the urban pack man.. all complete & undamaged/unplayed with. I bought 3 packs , so i have exactly 1 extra set of the 3 (FF, Scrapy, & SS)... with FCs too. I keep 2 of every figure, except when i want multiple army builders, etc. Anyway, if you want em, throw an offer (email) my way man & they're yours. Recondo@gmail.com
  6. I got my wave 4 today man & I absolutely think that the aps are better. I won't argue with you about some of the previous waves QC either. Some past waves had figures in them that were awful when it came to paint aps (Lady Jaye comes to mind.. TERRIBLE paint aps on the head of every Lady Jaye I ever saw, etc), but my case of wave 4 figures did not have any noticeable paint aps problems.. none. (100% honest) I can only speak for myself, but I was very impressed with the toys I opened today.
  7. Just FYI.. spreading the news to keep extra dollars in everyone's wallets. http://www.gijoehq.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=68 I could never find it before on the site until my hand was held & I was lead right to it.. but there it is! With a new supplier, the HQ can get the cases out within about 1 to 2 weeks of the wave release, so don't hesitate to place an order. And get this.. for a limited time, you'll get your case for about $85.50 SHIPPED, not $95! They are listed at $89.99 shipped, but with the added 5% discount on orders over $50, the actual charged price comes to $85.50. With shipping included, I am not sure that there is a CHEAPER wave 5 case out there right now.. anywhere. Is there? (That's LESS than $7.13 per pack.. ALL told! No tax, no further charges.) Not Bad.
  8. Guys, check this place out for new Joe toys.. & I mean NEW! Jeff Bohn of YoJoe.com brought these guys to my attention. http://www.goodstufftogo.net/html/catalog1.asp?ID=359 Keep it in your files and check back often. I asked them why/how they were able to get the absolute newest product so quickly.. to the point where they receive the stuff the SAME time BIG places like Brian's Toys & MasterCollecter does, even though they have a somewhat smaller 3 3/4" product list right now (and they JUST started selling 3 3/4" stuff about 2 months ago). Know why? Because actually they've been in close contact with Hasbro and have been big sellers of Hasbro's 12" line since 1997!! So when they decided to carry 3 3/4", ALL the contacts and built relationships were in place! All to our benefit. I think that's awesome. And then what Good Stuff To Go does is NOT charge the high prices that many or even most of the bigger stores do that know that they are one of the few to carry a given product early on. These guys are truly awesome! Fast shipping? I received a UPS confirmation e-mail on my #4 & #5 3-packs the same day.. the same DAY that I ordered!!! Communication? OMG, I sent 2 or 3 e-mails and all were answered within hours of being sent.. NOT "days" or "weeks"!! CHECK IT OUT! Check out the prices and the ultra NEW items they have in stock (and continue to watch as new stuff comes out.. they'll be among the VERY first to get it, yet keep the stuff at normal or below normal MSRPs!!) You may never order from another place again. I am dead serious.
  9. Leatherhead seems to be more common.. I am seeing him now a lot more often. However, I went to another WalMart & came across 3 fresh display cases.. JUST like my earlier post, these cases only had ONE giant mouser & ONE razor fist total. In my experience, at least so far, these 2 are the most rare. FF Mystics are probably just as rare though, since these don't seem to be in the DVD assortment cases that WallyWorld is now getting. Any word on when the next wave is scheduled to ship? I remember that toyfair seemed to have pics of a LOT of TMNT figures, which leads me to believe that many more are on their way this year yet.
  10. Are there plans to release further seasons? Or will it depend on the season #1 sales? Thanks (in advanced) for the info.
  11. Just to add.. I loved #28 as well. One thing to keep in mind with Jerwa is his knack for subtle storyline details that come full circle eventually. Little things that readers may dismiss now.. and/or forget about.. will have a tendency to show up again & cause many to say, "ohhhhhhh yeah! I get it now!". lol.. just fyi.
  12. Pretty darn cool! I love the Don & Raph suits.. not really huge on the other 2, but 2 outta 4 ain't bad. So far, I've yet to buy any turtles other than the original versions. This is one toyline where I am interested in only 1 version of each character, however, I may grab a few of these divin turtles. Thanks for the heads-up!
  13. Mine are all for display only anyway, so I don't mind the articulation thing. If I was worried at all about articulation when it comes to TMNT stuff, I wouldn't be collecting the line at ALL, as pretty much all of them are WAY down on the "articulation scale" (compared to may other figure lines)... lol. BUT I appreciate the news about the armor snafu.. now I need to go check mine to be sure that this isn't the case with the one I have as well. Thanks!
  14. Found non-DVD turtle todlers & super Mike (er whatever) at K-Mart.. found non-DVD Fire Mystic & non-DVD turtlebot at Target.. & found all the rest, WITH DVD, at Walmart (except for Quarry).
  15. v1? I disagree with you. v2? v3? v4? v5? (& on & on).. yes, I agree with you. Though I know that you're talking about the mold in general, still, I think the paintjob also has a lot to do with the final product & as a kid, the v1 Roadblock was always one of my favs. I guess maybe because of this (fact), I still like it. However, yeah. I will agree that I too would now like to see that mold put up on a shelf for a while.. & perhaps for good. There are a lot of other ones that we're salivating to see again... no need to use this one yet again (especially at the expense of not using another one that we've perhaps not seen since the 80's, etc).
  16. Todder of www.Magnum6Delta.com is putting together a series of "classic" GI Joe wallpapers using the box and package art from the 80's. Its a new project that he'll be working on & new wallpapers will be added regularly. Feel free to use any of 'em you want.. or just browse through & enjoy some of the great GI Joe art that you used to stare at as a kid.. Peace. http://www.magnum6delta.com/Classic/TTBP1024x768.jpg
  17. Well, #1.. we don't know for absolute certain that he WAS killed. Badly injured? Yes. Killed? Most likely, but not 100%. And #2... Kwinn was killed too, yet there are reports of Kwinn being included in an up-coming entertainment 3-pack (or whatever they're called). So at the very least, I wouldn't just dismiss Sei Tin as being "out of the question entirely" ...at least, not imo.
  18. I think they're cool.. but I don't need a hologram. I think I'll just wait for them to hit the shelves before I spend my money.. but there's nothing wrong with you guys wanting to get em early. I am looking fwd to some pics from one of you though!
  19. There were 100 new TMNT packs at my Wal-Mart 2 or 3 days ago. I was the first to prey upon them (5 minty fresh display cases with 20 packs each). I basically found all the new ones, EXCEPT a Quarry. So "no dice" here either.
  20. These are the EXACT new ones that I, too, found at Wal-Mart with the DVD packs. No Quarry & no FFM. To boot, in 5 total "20-pack" display cases, there were only TWO Leatherheaeds, THREE Stone Biters, THREE Turtlebots, ONE Razor Fist, and ONE giant Mouser. That's it! (I didn't count the TT Mike's because I am not at all interested in those.) I was the first one to buy any of the DVD packs from the display trays at my Wal-Mart.. so I know it wasn't a situation of them selling before I got there (since I "got there" first).. & I am not saying that some of the figures are shortpacked, because perhaps it was just a distribution thing. BUT I figured that I should put the info out there that if you see a Razor Fist or a Giant Mouser, you might want to snatch it up immediately.
  21. Yeah, nifty topic. I'd say that Bullhorn has to be WAY up there. You never hear about the guy, yet the figure & his accessories were awesome. I guess mine would be: Bullhorn Falcon (in many ways) Footloose Repeater Hit&Run Its pretty clear that my picks revolve around some of the most tactically realistic looking Joes, but its true that for some reason, the more realistic they look, the less attention they get. Go figure. Perhaps their camo really IS working afterall! lol.. (get it? ok, nevermind.)
  22. I found the Foot Fire Mystic today & the "Super Mikey" (or whatever.. lol). I left Mike on the shelf but grabbed the FFM.. pretty cool! I didn't see any others though.
  23. That's a really interesting response man.. considering.. well.. you know.
  24. lol.. kinda like that Thomas Wheeler guy, right? @loll@
