  1. If you guys pick up the mag they have like a paragraph on each of the toys and why they picked them. I would be typing forever!!!!!
  2. Hey guys, I picked up the new issue of Toyfare today and inside they rank what they think is the top 20 Joes. The list includes vehicles and playsets not just individual figures. I think its pretty good. 20- Mauler with Heavy metal 19-Steel Brigade (as a promotion it was great) 18-Cobra Commander (battle corps, 1983) 17-Cobra Wolf with Ice Viper 16-Flash (1983) 15-Snow Serpent (1985) 14-Hiss tank with Hiss Driver(1983) 13-GI Joe headquarters command center (1983) 12-Stinger (1984) 11-Storm Shadow(1984) the original 10-Moray hydrofoil with lampreys (1985) 9- Crimson Guard (1985) 8- Tomahawk with lift ticket (1986) 7- Zartan with chameleon swamp skier (1984) 6- Whale hovercraft with Cutter (1984) (sorry I'm partial to cutter cause I'm in the Coast Guard) 5- Rattler with wild weasel (1984) 4-USS Flagg with Keel Haul 3-Snake-eyes with Timber(1985) 2- Defiant space vehicle complex with payload and hardtop (1987) ...................... and number one is..............................THE TERRORDROME!!!! all and all I think its an alright list, what do you guys think???
  3. When I was little and when I would get a new figure, I would introduce him into my collection, whenever i would get home from the store I would get my other joes and have the new viper or villian attack the joes base and take out my second tier joe members. Then the joes would have to figure out how to deal with the new menace. I used to make it like an episode of the cartoon, I never usually mixed lines. But yeah captain power figures would almost blend in perfectly with the joes.
  4. Anybody know the date and location of the next GI Joe convention? I want to attend if I know when and where it is. I know it was in Norfolk last year, just wondering where it might be, does anybody know?
  5. Yeah thats way too much, like other people said $200-300 is more of the right price range for all that stuff.
  6. What I want to know is what did you do with all those big-ben's! Holy Crap, Nice display, but it was missing my favorite alley-viper, the original from 1987. I think thats the best one to date, not knocking your display. Damn man, did you get those straight from 2-packs or did you trade for some of them?
  7. My TRU is terrible, they still have episode 1 figures!!!! But no mine still has only wave 1, i haven't even seen wave 2 in the wal-marts by me yet. But the Target and K-mart by me have had them out for at least a month now. So who knows.
  8. If he was an exclusive or something that would be cool, but I don't think I would buy him in a 2 pack or anything like that. Well actually I would but an exclusive would make more sense.
  9. Yeah guys a warrant officer is higher than a sergent anyday, you don't make that mistake. Warrant officers can pretty much do what they want, within reason.
  10. I would like to see a new Sergent Slaughter, I thought he was cool. Straight up brawler, when I was little I thought he was great, a real GI Joe. Cause just like any other child of the 80's I also was weened on the WWF of old.
  11. Hey Hasbro!!!! Don't make a new Roadblock to go with skull buster!!! Man how sick am I of all these new repaints, and Heavy Duty isn't even repainted!!!! I know its still early but still.......The other figures look great, the new Duke looks like the Duke of old somewhat. I wish shipwreck had his old sailor hat though, also wheres Polly!!!!
  12. Thats the most intelligent thing that I have heard on this forum in a long time, that was POSITIVE about the new GI Joes. I'm not downplaying anybodys intelligence but thats exactly how I feel about GI Joe. Couldn't have said it better.
  13. I have my joes set up on my shelf above my bed, in a huge battle scene, I have Joe squaring of against cobra, both sides staring each other down. I have old Joes and new Joes together, getting ready to throw the smack down on the new and old cobra troops, its a pretty sweet set up.
  14. Allright since everybody is ripping GI Joe a new you know what in here, I figure that I need to say something about a line of toys that needs to be defended. Yes wave 1 is way overproduced and probably won't have a secondary market value, but I collect GI Joe because I love the figures, not for the price of what Duke v. CC will be in 10 years, I was one of those guys that keeps everything packaged and tacks it to my wall, but I opened the new JvC line and I loved them, yeah I have seen some Joes that have screwed up paint apps, but I DON'T BUY THE ONES WITH BAD APPS!!! Doesn't anybody examine the figs before they actually walk out of the store with them!!!! Yeah I love the Joes of old but its a new time now and its a new line, everybody needs to chill, and no I don't buy everything with the name GI Joe stamped on it to try and buy back my childhood, cause I refused to buy the Destro v. Gung-ho because of what they did to Destro, my friend had to buy it for me and then i still didn't want it. Yeah the future waves will be unreal, but let hasbro grow this baby b-4 we all kill the damn thing, if you think about the first joes that came out in 1984 were terrible so its a work in progress. WHEW that was a mouth full! "Aw man who ever heard of being shot down by salad!"
  15. I love them, everybody needs to stop hatin!!!! New Joes are better than no Joes at all, I can't wait for wave 3, the new snow serpent looks unreal, and so does beachhead, people need to stop hatin thats all i gotta say. YO JOE!!!!!!
  16. Yeah I did that the as soon as I got them home, I just took a pair of scissiors an snipped off the sound chips, cause I think they look horrendous with the figures and they also weigh them down. I really don't like sound features, I'm still kinda partial to the whole spit sound effect that worked so well as a kid, that and the laser sound that i have mastered "Ah man, who ever heard of being shot down by salad"
