Absolutely not, though, for whatever reason, they "seem" to be fairly popular around Memphis, for whatever reason. I've never quite figured it out, other than some of the band members are from this area. Which, in the end, doesn't excuse the band itself from sounding like 98% of the "nu-Rock" bands that are out there.
Three Days Grace, Saliva, Shinedown, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and the like bore me to tears.

Not a gigantic Radiohead fan, but I dig many of their tunes.
I've read that EMI are planning to release a Greatest Hits CD to coincide with the tour, and it wouldn't surprise me the least if Radiohead avoids playing any of the songs included on the CD live, in protest. Which likely means they'll be playing a bunch of random noise and that great cover of Joy Division/New Order's "Ceremony" they did on one of their recent webcasts.
Should be a great show, regardless.

i have a huge crush on baroness and im sure every joe fan too.
Speak for yourself there, buddy.
Good job on the custom. Better hide it before Hasbro re-releases it in Plastic Solo Cup Yellow and Bob the Builder Blue Jean Blue. YOU JUST KNOW THEY WANT TO.

As a throw-away b-side to my "Time-Cube" single, I did a cover of G.G. Allin's "I Wanna F*** Ur Brains Out". It was the least I could do for the memory of that pudgy cross-eye tiny-membered feces-hurling nonsensical psychopath that was G.G.Allin.
There wasn't much to work with, but I think it's a faithful cover.

Darthjoe, I'm right with you, brother. Hadn't heard of them until they started getting airplay aways back, but I really, really dig this band. More than I ever thought I would. Justin, the lead singer, whose last name escapes me has such a poetic way with words, if you will.
Awesome tunes. Haven't heard one of their songs I don't like.

I think it's safe to say I was just having a piss with you ladies.
Although, in the context of my previous statement, I was probably right. You guys certainly listen to a lot of awful bands, don't you?

Great reviews, as always, guys.
I'm always checking GeneralsJoes.com daily. Love the reviews.
Seems as though we agree on this first wave of comic packs.

Isn't the new Major Bludd's head sculpt made of legos?
Or was he doing something unsavory for a PG Audience? Inquiring Minds really don't care.
-
Definitely ahead of their time, no doubt about it. Tears for Fears sound just as relevent today as they did back then, and that shows the strength of their songs.
I think of The Outfield in the same way. Check out some of their other songs which aren't heard very often. Great music.

Dudes, I think Silverchair is trying to tell me something if what you ladies say is true.
Yes, they want me to buy the album. I'm all about some synth keyboards and ambiguous songwriting!

C'mon, Hasbro. Why not?
You only live once. You can even put him in a comic 2 pack with a Teal Green Cobra Commander or a Snake-Eyes (with over-sized reading glasses). You know you want to.

Just call me Shania Twain when it comes to these, cause they don't impress me much!
-
Wow, can't say I'll be picking any of these up, either. Toys R' Us have at it, babies!
-
Wow, not too sure I'll be picking any of these up, but you guys have at it.
Hope Major Bludd's head sculpt is blurred on the figure as well. They could just melt plastic together, you know, and it would still be cool.
And is that the Baroness or Kim Deal from the Breeders?

Dudes, I change my answer.

Cornell no longer a member of Audioslave as he recently announced his departure from the band citing "creative differences" which is likely due to the fact that everyone else in his band is reuniting with Zach De La Rocha at Coachella as Rage Against the Machine. =/

Only heard the single, something about to do about America (This is Our America?), and upon first listen, thought it was one of those beer commercial jingles that always trick me into really enjoying the song until I realize it's only a commercial. Lyrics might be a little hokey, album art looks like Springsteen's Seeger Sessions some-what, but not a bad single.
Not on my plate as a musical purchase anytime soon.

This band is hideous. They sound like Orgy and POD got together and decided to have an ugly son who listened to Korn, Saliva, and Disturbed. Only poorly produced to the point of almost sounding like a new CGI Extreme cartoon's themesong.
Ugh. Home?

I'm sorry for all of the parties involved, but that has to be one of the funniest things I've seen/read in in a long time.
Haha.

Me too lately, but I know I'm gonna get smacked about this band->Hootie & The Blowfish
I'll share some of the beating, for I am also a fan. Good music is good music, no matter the band.
Even if they are the ultimate Frat Boy band.

So, I know most of you ladies don't frequent the music forum, but let's just put that aside and talk about Angels and Airwaves for a minute.
So, I know people think Tom DeLonge is a freaking lunatic, what with saying God helped him write the first AvA record and everything else he's said, but I'm going to be honest here and say that "We Don't Need to Whisper" is one of my favorite records of the past few years. Listening to it gives you that same blast of pure inspiration/energy that makes you wanna jump up and run or do some type of cardiovascular exercise, much like Andrew W.K.'s entire discography.
Seriously. Go back and listen to it and tell me that it's not one hell of a record. Even if you don't like the Astronaut Radio Bits or Echo-ey U2-like guitar charges, it's still, without a DOUBT, one hell of an awesome album, no?
Yes. It is.
The new record kinda sucks, except for a few numbers. Even though "Everything's Magic" sounds like a song I wrote called "Run" which sounds like the Cure's "Close to Me".
What's your opinion of Angels and Airwaves? Do you miss Blink-182? Is Plus-44 better? Did you LOL when they mis-spelled Matt Wachter's name in the inital pressings of the "I-Empire" booklet?
Your Friend,
-Dustin
