  1. Forget about all the other stuff, and listen to me. You gotta be original and offer something people can't get elsewhere, or better yet, offer something that is harder to find elsewhere. And for a good price. What am I saying? Well, instead of just coffee, you should spruce it up a bit! Instead of just Coffee and Frraappuucciinnoos, you should offer Coffee and the like with shots of Crystal Meth! That way you can have the Soccer Moms covered. They'll get their house tidy and have their favorite hot beverage, all in one gulp! For the college age crowd, offer Muffins with Real Hypnotic Poppy Seeds, or Rice Krispie Treats, topped with Coccaine chunks! That way, the kids can get a nice snack in before they feel the drain and don't eat for hours! Think outside the Box! -Dustin
  2. So, I know most of you ladies don't frequent the music forum, but let's just put that aside and talk about Angels and Airwaves for a minute. So, I know people think Tom DeLonge is a freaking lunatic, what with saying God helped him write the first AvA record and everything else he's said, but I'm going to be honest here and say that "We Don't Need to Whisper" is one of my favorite records of the past few years. Listening to it gives you that same blast of pure inspiration/energy that makes you wanna jump up and run or do some type of cardiovascular exercise, much like Andrew W.K.'s entire discography. Seriously. Go back and listen to it and tell me that it's not one hell of a record. Even if you don't like the Astronaut Radio Bits or Echo-ey U2-like guitar charges, it's still, without a DOUBT, one hell of an awesome album, no? Yes. It is. The new record kinda sucks, except for a few numbers. Even though "Everything's Magic" sounds like a song I wrote called "Run" which sounds like the Cure's "Close to Me". What's your opinion of Angels and Airwaves? Do you miss Blink-182? Is Plus-44 better? Did you LOL when they mis-spelled Matt Wachter's name in the inital pressings of the "I-Empire" booklet? Your Friend, -Dustin
  3. That sounds like me, man. I used to go for days without sleeping, even though I was never really sick with a cold or anything. I've been taking MUCH better care of myself lately, though, and cut back heavily on my work schedule, so I can actually enjoy living. Even if I'm not making gobs of money. It's not fun if you never have time to spend it. You for real about Avril? I know she's as dumb as a load of bricks, but I gotta admit, when "Girlfriend" first came out, I kinda dug it in a guilty pleasure sorta way. I called up one of my buddies Brandon and was like, "You gotta listen to the new Avril Lavigne song, and he was like, "Dude, I've heard it and it is so addictive!"" Then it got old and fast, with or without Lil' Mama's help. I'm banged and blown through, but it's nice to be back posting on this internet webpage website forum blog message page. Your Friend, -Dustin

    Saliva

Absolutely not, though, for whatever reason, they "seem" to be fairly popular around Memphis, for whatever reason. I've never quite figured it out, other than some of the band members are from this area. Which, in the end, doesn't excuse the band itself from sounding like 98% of the "nu-Rock" bands that are out there. Three Days Grace, Saliva, Shinedown, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and the like bore me to tears.
  5. Yes, I've noticed the lack of conversations here lately. Or lack of worthwhile conversations, I should say. I was initially drawn back in to checking out the forums thanks, in part, to the new G.I.Joe Anniversary line, which is quite awesome. I was never a big fan of the last 3 3/4 inch line. Joe versus Cobra or whatever it was. Many of those figures were terrible, and I lost interest quickly. The other major part was that I miss many of the people I used to communicate with through these very forums, obviously. I notice Jay-C has changed the site around. I don't quite understand why he's reporting on Hollywood gossip, but it's whatever if it's making him money. Don't you love it when you click on a headline and it takes you to a page that tells you to click ANOTHER link to read the actual story you clicked on. LOL. -Dustin
  6. Dragonforce is one of those metal-core/Dungeons and Dragons bands, aren't they? Can't say I've listened to them, but I imagine they are not the best remedy for a head-ache. I get migraines fairly often, so I recommend Excedrin, which works wonders. -Dustin

    Radiohead!

Not a gigantic Radiohead fan, but I dig many of their tunes. I've read that EMI are planning to release a Greatest Hits CD to coincide with the tour, and it wouldn't surprise me the least if Radiohead avoids playing any of the songs included on the CD live, in protest. Which likely means they'll be playing a bunch of random noise and that great cover of Joy Division/New Order's "Ceremony" they did on one of their recent webcasts. Should be a great show, regardless. -Dustin
  8. The only way to fix this problem is to become a homosexual for two weeks. I know what you're thinking, but just hear me out. So, you're gay and start dating a new person. Let's say your new girlfriend's name is Larry, since you're gay and everything. You don't have to kiss Larry or anything, because that would just be gross. After you break it off with Larry, you go back to your current girlfriend and ta-da! Problem solved. You no longer call her another girl's name, but instead call her "Larry" which doesn't make any sense and wham! (LOLs) you are off the hook. Problem solved. You're Welcomes. -Dustin
  9. @bananna@ I MISSED YOU, TOO, BY THE WAY. WELL, HOW HAS EVERYONE BEEN? I'VE BEEN DOING VERY WELL. #US1# I AM CURRENTLY LISTENING TO "WHEN LOVE BREAKS DOWN" BY PREFAB SPROUT AND AM THINKING OF ADC/TNI FONDLY! @nana@ XOXO -Dustin
  10. Let's sail away Find our own country We'll build a house and beds out of palm trees Let's get away Let's push our lives aside I'll sport a smile Take in some color Under the stars I'll be your lover With no distractions I'm gonna treat you right Well it seems like things are only getting better Well it seems like we can never catch a break Just keep a hold on me don't let go If you float away, if you float away Waiting too long for a ship to come Don't you float away, don't you float away Let's go to bed Let's stop debating Look at the time We're always waiting But we're in love And that should be just fine Well it seems like things are only getting better Well it seems like we can never catch a break Just keep a hold on me don't let go If you float away, if you float away Waiting too long for a ship to come Don't you float away, don't you float away And if you like (and if you like) and if you like some other time I would like to introduce you to the finer things If we survive (if we survive) If we survive, get out alive I'd like to say how beautiful I think you... Just a keep a hold on me don't let go If you float away, if you float away Waiting too long for a ship to come Don't you float away, don't you float away YOU CAN HAVE MY HANDS IF YOU NEED THEM AND OF COURSE, YOU ALREADY HAVE MY HEART! ^__^ Your Friend, -Dustin
