  1. what's to relax about? haha, i don't have any kids - i'm not worked up about this...but i still think these figures totally suck. They look like figures that would have been released back in the late 80's early 90's. But whatever, no big deal. These are probably geared at kids. i just hope (as someone else said) the X-men animated figures don't look as bad as these. Yeah, me too in a way... but I'll still buy them. At least I will if they end up making the whole team, and not just Wolverine and a few of his enemies.
  2. you have to realize you collect highly articulated figures and your sons see these and also like em but the average jane and john who just have a kid who happens to currently be into spiderman, the kid doesnt know the difference i work in a toy store and i see kids go nuts over what we consider a crappy crappy figure I agree, some you guys need to REEElax, My little brother and nephew are gonna be all over these as son as they see them. They love Spider-Man, period. I bought them Mary Jane and Sandman now that they are 5 dollars and they are having a blast! kids don't care about articulation, to them they are simply Spider-Man toys. Not every marvel figure released by Hasbro is aimed for the adult collector. But if that's how some of you feel, just relax, take a breather and go buy your kids some clogged arteries and a heart attack that come with that kids meal toy. @loll@ You're completely right. Some people need to relax. Think back to old Batman, Ghostbusters, or Ninja Turtle Figures. They had what, like 5 points of articulation, and simple paint aps. I don't know about you, but that never bothered me when I was 4. These figures aren't so bad. The villains, maybe, but I think I'll still pick up the black-suited spidey. When I was that young, I hated overly articulated figures. They looked too much like robots to me. Obviously I'm over that now lol, but I definitely appreciated the simplicity in figures back then. I actually really wish they'd make Marvel/X-Men figures like they do with the JLA animated series (or whatever that's called).
  3. Yeah, "them" probably look like that because that's the animation style in the show. I don't think this has anything to do with Hasbro's designs. Get off it already. And yeah guys, these are strictly aimed at kids. They're based off what's going to be a Saturday morning cartoon, which is for kids. Marvel Legends are for collectors. Not everything Hasbro makes is aimed for collectors of all ages. Some of it's going to be kiddy. Deal with it.
  4. Yeah now that they're making comic book style Spider-mans, I'll get them. I bought the movie ones like 4 months ago and decided they stood out like a sore thumb so i returned them at walmart a few days ago and said it was an xmas present lol.
  5. Wow you take your toys a little too seriuos relax....some people...i was thinking maybe someone from Hasbro will see the thread and maybe add some insight. sheesh @smilepunch@ I really wish Hasbro hadn't mentioned they read our forum once in awhile. Now we have to put up with idiotic threads like this every day. I'm really sick of the "Hasbro We Want" threads that keep emerging. The first few made sense, but the character specific ones don't make any sense because I know for a fact that not everyone is doing back flips over the idea of a Firestar figure. And save the "If you don't like those threads, don't read them" speeches for someone who give a crap.
  6. Cyclops Storm Jean Grey Wolverine Nuff said.
  7. You're right Electro, we should all be as well in-sourced and well-informed as you. I will take the lead. I spoke to a guy who owns a store who says that he talked to a guy that works for Hasbro and he said that Superhero Squad is going away. If Hasbro keeps making them however, just know it's impossible for any of the steps on this chain to be wrong... Hasbro will have done a secret 180 and changed their entire marketing plans, including planned releases that had already been revealed months before. I know that your "source's" failed predictions have already been discussed ad nauseum, but just because the information you proudly passed on from a source several levels removed didn't work out, does not mean that corporate dictate at Hasbro has shifted. Also doesn't mean you should berate the other guy for not "keeping up with the news" @loll@ Well said.
  8. Not my custom, but it will be soon. My friend Brian13's making it for me. It's his beautiful masterpiece #US1#
  9. I like this Storm custom much better than the previous one, or even Hasbro's for that matter.
  10. i like emma,i think shes a great ML.sure she has flaws but she still is a great figure. and BE offended,i think marvel girl is a great representation of the early jean. YOU are a classic example of why there is figure dispute in the forums your bad taste is a classic example of forum disputes. Early Jean did not have a badly sculpted face. and Emma is not a great figure. I'm sorry. You're just wrong. i can't possibly accept that as a valid opinion. haha, but that's what these forums are about - people posting their opinions and disagreeing with each other or agreeing or whatever. that's the fun in making these lists. I love it when people think that when someone's taste in figures (or anything for that matter) isn't identical to their own, it's "bad" taste. Ignorance is bliss I suppose. We're here to bash figures, not each other's opinions.
  11. No one's mentioned Phoenix? One of the best MS figures EVER!
  12. Not ALL of them, I see blue Beast between Cyclops and Magneto. Don't see the grey though. Nevermind. He's directly behind the Human Torch (non-flamed).
  13. Not ALL of them, I see blue Beast between Cyclops and Magneto. Don't see the grey though.
  14. Maybe it's just the lighting.
  15. That's the way Phoenix came. At least mine looks that way, is yours different? Mine looks like her eyes are less WIDE open. Like here: http://marvellegends.net/MarvelLegends/ML06/
  16. What's up with your Phoenix? She looks like one of those figures in Twisted Toy Fair (or Robot Chicken, for that matter) that's really surprised or angry.
  17. The twin pack of Marvel Girl. After I repainted her gloves/belt/mask to yellow, she became one of my favorites.
  18. Good idea, I call it thinking smart on the fly. But would you compare it to dropping $15 dollar bill in a church basket and taking a crisp new $20 bill from the same basket in exchange? If there was an actual $15 bill, it'd probably be really rare and would be worth a lot, therefore the Church would probably be profiting big time, even if you still took that $20 @smilepunch@ Kidding aside, I know what you mean. In my defense, I would've rather have purchased them at my local comic shop (to support their business), but they never got them because they were damaged in shipping, and anything that's damaged in shipping, Diamond Comics holds on to. In this case, they Diamond Comics donated the damaged Marvel Select figures (among other things) to the toy drive (both the packages were falling apart slightly). So yeah. 3 figures for 2 isn't that bad if you ask me.
  19. I would go with what was suggested above. Hell Clam, if it makes you feel any better, last year at my school they had a toy drive and I wasn't just donating toys, I was trading out of it lol. I traded 3 Spider-man movie (the 1st one) figures that I never really wanted for 2 DOFP Wolverine/Kitty Marvel Select figures. The kids would probably get more out of the Spider-man figures anyway rather than 2 not so articulated Wolverine figures... at least that what I'm telling myself lol.
  20. One of my favorites is Psylocke. A very close second, minus the feet, is Phoenix.
