  1. Not really necessary to quote someone that has 5 HUGE pics in their post. Especially when you're the only person that's replied in a thread so far. Just takes up space.

Anyway, very cool. I also like the custom floating with the books. Jean right? From New X-Men?

  2. I want you to think about this some more:

How could a toy-line supposedly on its way out..........about to be "done" as you put it, gain the support for exclusive waves from not one, but two major retailers, and potentially a third before the year is out?

Would the logic not follow that if the line was a loser on the shelves that retailers would abandon it, and not elect to not only continue the main lines, but ask for exclusive lines for themselves to carry alongside?

The retailers obviously want more product, the brand WILL continue on in the main line as well as in sub-lines.

How can that portent doom for it???

Its pretty clear that Marvel Legends is far from being cancelled, and never was very close at all to that kind of fate.

true what you are saying but would it not be more of a moneymaker around the world then just exclusive to one shop? i think that then they could do more then just two waves no? i am okey with sublines because i open my figures. it is just somthing i was thinking about. i never said it will be cancelled. i just loved too much of what i saw, that they should not cancel the line :D

Keep in mind that "shop" is Walmart. It's not a momma poppa business that won't be very wide spread. I'm sure there will be plenty to go around. You see the Walmart exclusive Iron Man figure? There's 3 pegs of it. I'm sure you'll be fine to either find them in a Walmart or online if you don't have one near you (or in your country).

But I think the Marvel Legends line is far from dead. I actually like the idea of a themed wave instead of mixed ones anyway. And who says they're only doing movie figured in ML now? The only MLs they've done that are movie themed are the Spider-man 3 ones. The rest were regular figures with action features. Not MLs. The F4 wave worked out nicely for them, and the Spider-man 3 ones would've had they been released when the movie came out instead of the 5 inch ones.

  3. I remember like 5 or so years ago when the "cool thing" to do if you were into comics was to make your own fansite. I remember browsing through tons of them and finally decided to make one myself. So I ended up making http://www.thestormsfury.com. While it wasn't the best site on the web, it still has quite a few Storm clips from the various cartoons and movies that I'm pretty proud of. It kinda grinds my gears though when people use my video clips for their stupid fan videos of Storm on YouTube without crediting me for searching for them in the clips and extracting them myself AND paying to have them hosted....... but that's a whole other story.

Anyway, back to my original point. Did anyone else on here have a fansite? If so, what was it called?

Edit: Can a mod fix "man" to "many" in the title please? Thanks ahead of time.

  4. Quite honestly, if Marvel Legends were cancelled, it wouldn't be the worst thing for me I don't think. I mean FA Storm's never going to be released it seems like, which doesn't really matter anyway cause my friend's making me a nicer one. So I don't know. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have all the characters I really want and wouldn't be too crushed if it ended. I've gotten most every character I've really wanted.

  5. Wait, so some of you actually believed they were going to release Santa Claws Wolverine???

In all fairness, he is the only 'way, way out there' character in the list. The others are somewhat plausible, but would frankly fail as a wave- none of those characters (save Wolvie) are big enough headliners to grab any attention.

It's also worth noting that at this rate, series 6 would be out just in time for the holidays. It's not terribly hard to believe that an X-Mas (pun intended) themed figure could be made, as there is precedent- back in the heady days of Toy Biz 5" figures, there was a Christmas-themed Spider-Man/Mary Jane 2-pack.

However, such a figure would likely be an exclusive (as the 5" set I mention was) rather than a slot-filler in a normal wave.

None of that really amounts to 'believe' though. I think some were simply wishful that their third-string most-wanteds might have actually had a chance.

LOL, you know I was thinking about this yesterday. Even though this particular list was done as a April Fools joke, the fact is, lists like this get posted all the time on message boards and even some news sites. With no verfication and just some mention of a so-called "secret source" and sadly it seems like many people are perfectly willing to beileve it without even batting an eye.

Especially on April Fool's day, which is ESPECIALLY sad.

  6. will these be 6 inch scale if so cant wait for professor x, and is lock jaw that big dog, LOL, a big dog what a load of old sh*t.

why not repaint some better people????? i like the professor x idea.

mate you know what day it is right? :P

how come the real website says it????????????

i thought the proffesor x idea was good the dog got me, is thata real marvel character a big nodding dog, wtf, lol :) , so this isnt real then.

look at this i think its still true lol, but then again im dizzy, lol, :)

    http://www.cooltoyreview.com/story/front/T...ures_113588.asp

Real websites can joke around too.

  7. Besides, I thought I'd actually post news in this section rather than starting another stupid wish list or something.

This place has lost it's variety. I miss it.

Tell me about it.........its cause they have spread everything out.....I miss the ole' ADC when everything Marvel was in one section.

I thought this was fairly old news.......a couple months after the first one came out they announced that a sequel was in the works???

I just want to see some more characters........some people are going to be pissed at what I'm about to say but some characters really had no business being there........Storm, Moon Knight, Blade, Nightcrawler. some of those characters just don't belong IMO. The choice to have them is cool but I would rather have other characters in the place of some of the ones that they gave us. In a Marvel game I don't want a ton of X-characters.......thats what the X-men games are for.

Well they're probably not going to make an X-Men game for awhile now that they've got the whole MUA thing going now. And besides, I don't appreciate your non x-characters in my Marvel games... @smilepunch@

  8. the thing with these games is the power of the characters is never shown correctly, like in the movies for example cyclops charges his blasts then shoots he doesnt say im out of power in need to collect more power packs!!!!!

so i think you should be able to hold R2 or something and chanrge a power bar up for a couple of seconds instead of collecting powers packs.

also people like thor and storm also phoenix have long distance powers which never come across well, thor and storm are controlling the weather not summoning a little crappy swirl of wind the whole surroundings should change or at leats a small area around the character, a hurrican should be a hurricane not a little swirl that looks crap basically, and whats with the pants graphica on the lightning, it looks corny and cheep, so better graphics and take the character powers into consideration.

Yeah, this is just me being picky, but that's a tornado, not a hurricane. @smilepunch@
