  1. loved this movie just as much as the first one. these are my favorite out of all the marvel movies and unexpectedly so. they are just so much fun!
  2. same as most of you, I enjoyed the first film just because it was a live action TF movie...and it was actually half way decent. the rest had some pretty action scenes but that was about it. I'm sure this will be more of the same. at least they got one thing right...and it was huge. having peter Cullen voice OP. anything else would have been a crime.
  3. that blaster looks great! cant wait to see more!!!
  4. i cant wait to see this!!! it's easy to speculate and it will be hard to ignore the trailors until december, but hopefully i can go in to the movie without seeing any others. this is going to break some records for sure, lets hope the story is good.
  5. i'd love to see a nice Juggy baf! sentinel would be cool, but i agree that it'd be hard to 1-up the toybiz version. i also agree with yojoebro82 about "inadequate figures". that is SOOO true! toybiz produced horrible female figures. in retrospect, much of their line is pretty ugly by todays standards, mainly due to thier body format. so many joints...horible joint placement/form. professor X's hips were really bad. i remember a lot of people complaining about hasbro when they removed hand/finger articulation and some of the knee articulation, but by doing so they improved the overall natural look of the figure. DC has 1-uped them all with their new line. they were able to achieve the best of both worlds, i think.
  6. yard sale finds are the best! i love finding cool classic toys for dirt cheap! i only went to a few sales this summer, didnt find much, did find a few ninja turtles in excellent condition though. i never seem to find any good transformers though. next summer i will make it a point to go G-saling every week.
  7. now THAT is a thing of beauty!!! cant wait for this to hit shelves! now only if we could get mirage and jazz...all in due time i would assume. they have been doing a great job of creating a lot of the classic characters.
  8. episode 8 or episode 7? i didnt think anything was planned beyond #7? would be cool either way though
  9. that is going to rock!!! the SW stuff there now is already cool, but this will be even better.
  10. are there pics of a Takara IH? i've seen pics of the TFC version which looks pretty great.
  11. If you want the clearest idea of how much you can safely ask, get on Ebay and do a search for similar items. When that comes up, look on the left side of the screen until you find "completed auctions." Click it, and that'll filter your search to auctions that have already sold. Go through those and see how much they sold for. That'll give you the best idea of how much to charge. great info. i never knew i could view completed sales. that's a great tool!
  12. pretty cool. i like the foot locker casing he comes with. anyone know how big this figure is? jumbo could mean anything.
  13. omg, she looks fantastic!! Fixed that for you. Road Rage is a fembot. oops, didnt know. thanks.
  14. pretty cool. you put a lot of work into that. i can see your dedication.
  15. her headgear seemed to have come off pretty well. was it difficult to remove? edit- disregard, i thought you used the ML SW. sorry. pretty decent face painting in such a small scale.
  16. i would agree that its a good deal, but the higher end prices you and a lot of ebay sellers would suggest is a bit unrealistic imo. if they were MOC...some of your prices would probably be pretty accurate. there are a few factors that Devon should take into consideration, the biggest being the old ToyBiz ML's ar not as desired as they were 6-8 years ago. many toy collectors consider their joints and body sculpts to be on the ugly side. these figures are loose and played with/handled. the high prices you see are all the sellers who are trying to make big bucks off of impatient collectors/fans. i've seen popular MOC ToyBiz ML's sell for less than $10 on ebay when left up for auction (helps to prove the drop in desire). most people know that hasbro has been doing a nice job with selection, they have better figure sculpts than the older versions, and there is no end in site, so they will take their chances that the character they want will be made available in the near future. unless someone is a HUGE Iceman fan, i cant see that lot sell for any more than $80 tops. good luck with the sale!
  17. maleficent was a pretty good movie. alice in WL was ok too. Dumbo's got me scratching my head, but with Tim anything is possible. i'm actually pretty interested in seeing how he pulls it off.
  18. I tend to agree with you. Is it me or does this form of "evolving" actually feel like "devolving"? I think that people should still fight to be social. Having and learning proper/healthy social communication is extremely important in human culture. Without it we start to become voiceless, passive, zombies to the crap that the media decides to shove down our thoughts. Sadly, the media promotes what is hot at the moment to bring them a quick buck and that seems to always feel like whatever the Kardashian's are doing at the very moment. The majority seems to follows and clicks or tweets and retweets these days with little to no active social communication taking place. I don't see how that is an improvement.
  19. that actually looks really interesting. i'd love to flip through that for a bit on my spare time
  20. very true. yeah, before 2000 there was very little in the form of retro collectibles available. since then, we've had the movie's comic boom, and like you stated, many of the old favorites getting makeovers. i guess the would-be collectors have pretty much obtained what they would have wanted to fulfill their childhood wants, ie; the Transformers MP line, GI Joe/TF reissues, MOTUC, ML, DCUC, etc. these days action figures dont hold the same pull with kids. in our time action figures, arcades, and playground sports ruled the spare time. now ipads, cell phones, home video game consoles rull the spare time. it feels kind of strange witnessing the tides of change. I also love looking at other people's customs, which is abundant at the freaks forums. Here, the only customs I see here are yours and Jin Saotome's. LOL, I haven't posted a custom here in a while. actually, I still have a few figures planned, but I have not been into the hobby as much lately. TNI is the first place i ever posted a custom. it's kind of where i got my "custom roots" if you will. even though people rarely ever comment/provide feedback in the custom thread here, i know there are those still stop in to take a peek.
  21. man, i really need to sign up to netflix. this show has been sounding better and better.
