    Hasbro Sucks!

Wow, since I've read it about ten times in this thread Toyfare is not Toy Fair.
  2. Five star post, and a great ending. You had me there for a second and I love it!
  3. Haha wait businesses are out to make money? Stop the presses! Spider-Man Classics was around before Marvel Legends and lasted 18 series ... on just Spider-Man variants. The fact that it is currently on hiatus is not really surprising ... Marvel Legends is basically a direct shootoff of Spider-Man Classics anyway, it has a lot larger universe to cover so it makes sense that this year it finally passed Spider-Man Classics in amounts of waves. Not everyone is you, Hasbro has the MASTER MARVEL LICENSE, meaning they are making stuff for all aged groups and demographics. Just because you the "most important person in the world" doesn't like something does not mean other people don't. Basically Hasbro has taken lines they have been successful with with their other properties and used Marvel characters for them ... now whether you don't like them doesn't matter because its a proven formula and there are people who are going to want to buy it. I don't really understand your anger over something other people happily enjoy, its not like you are forced to buy it. Unless you are just angry over capitalism, then I dunno, can't really help you out there ... system has worked out for me as long as I been around. Thank god we have the bastion of maturity and reason on our boards. And people buy things for whatever reason they want, just because you aren't doesn't mean there are people that buy them for whatever reason makes them happy. I buy them because I can enjoy an affordable Marvel universe I can share with my kids, of course the line is made for kids ... but the collector part of me loves filling out the Marvel universe while my kid enjoys having a bunch of little dudes he can play around with and learn about the characters that are in upcoming movies or in comic books or whatever. So it works out for the both of us, he digs these over my Legends, these take up less space, I get to see new faces all the time ... its win win for me.

    Thank You Hasbro!

Well its a pretty well known fact both Toybiz and Hasbro go outsource their sculpts so we should really thank the individual sculptors who did those figures.
  5. God I'd love to get these but at $155 each I just don't see it happenning. If I get one it will probably be RPD Leon.
  6. For whoever asked, here's the non repaint version ... Also just regot a Palisades Tyrant off Ebay only ended up being 20 bucks which was pretty sweet.
  7. There was a Leon and Jill mini by Dragon that came out as well ... at least according to Dragon. I seen pics but never seen them in real life. Palisades also made a Birkin statue. In addition the Moby Dick Birkin has a variant, its darker toned ... like really darker toned. Also I don't think the later Moby Dick 2 packs ever came out, the Hunk/Super Tyrant, and Claire/Ivy. Technically Wesker in the Palisades line has a packaging variant, his alternate heads are switched.
  8. Heh I remember when I got my Ivy on clearence at HLJ for 11.99 hehe.
  9. The Palisades and MD Mr. X are pretty much the same figure in a different scale. Though being the Palisade's version is more compact he looks more detailed, the Moby Dick version looks a little more plain.
  10. Can't beat that price for the Darkstalkers, will be picking up a couple sets at that price.
  11. I just think its silly to compare a hand painted test shot to a factory run final product. Hasbro doesn't read the message boards, if you don't like them making post after post complaining isn't going to do anything. Not buying them will. But the sad thing is most people who complain buy them anyway because they see them and want to be first to have them anyway ... because the reality is, the people who no longer buy the line because of quality/whatever have moved on. It's the "guy who calls the radio show to tell them he hates them" syndrome.
  12. I doubt anyone would pick it up, its not a terribly popular license.
  13. It's definitely the best figure probably ever made in an RE line, but honestly it would be hard for me to pay that much. Really depends on how much you think he is worth to you. I'm willing to bet you could get it lower down the line.
  14. Yeah, it was sort of an all in type ordeal or I would have. So I'm gonna be on the hunt again and if I run into any deals I'll let ya know.
  15. Unfortunately I had to part with my RE collection this week. Ended only missing a couple things, the two Moby Dick Birkin variants. Shame to see it go, it was my baby ... worked on it a good 5-6 years ever since the Toybiz days. So in the next month I will start rebuilding it one at a time. This time I will probably leave it all MOC.
