  1. So now they are splitting into groups (tribes), I like the whole "Lord of the Flies" theme they're heading towards.
  2. I have to agree with Whedon and TommyGoth, most TV shows nowadays are crap, there are the few exceptions (Angel & Buffy used to be one of them). I can see why he's disillusioned with the whole TV series thing. I'd still love to see a Spike series spin-off but seriously doubt it will ever happen. Although with the success of the two series in syndication I can't imagine a TV studios not foaming at the mouth to get a continuation series. As far as an Angel movie, how can you have Angel without David Boreanaz? Hopefully you can't and they won't! I'm sure they can work it out somehow to get him back in black.
  3. It's starting to sound like it will be @hmmm@
  4. C3 Batman Begins lineup info banned has some info on the C3 sets we'll see from the upcoming Batman Begins movie. There sound like some good sets! The Fortress of Doom sounds interesting. Nice to see some different sections of the Batcave, hopefully they will release v2 of the cave and that it will go together with all the other sets. So here's the sets we're going to see: Gargoyle Base-Scarecrow & Glider Batman (sounds like a variation of THIS-> ) Shadow Warrior Showdown-Ras Al Ghul & Bruce Wayne Fortress of Doom-Ras Al Ghul & Ninja Bruce Wayne Batcave Arsenal-Bruce Wayne Batmobile w/ Batcave Diagnostic Center-XO Armor Batman
  5. Fall Toyfare C3: Batcycle set Check out the pics of the ManBat and Street Justice Batman Batcycle C3 set! The figures are pretty cool, but not too sure about that cycle @hmmm@
  6. I think the reason is because there are too many Things. The big-chest Thing is unnecessary. For those that get all the packs in the next series including the chase, they will get 3 Things. We already have two other versions so far (regular and Clobberin Time). If they would have put a generic Skrull in place of him you wouldn't see so many people complaining about buying two of them. The big-chest just doesn't add anything to the line. They are using the same chest piece for the Cut-Face Thing (with t-shirt). Why add this to a figure we already have? All this does is leave the door open for them to re-release other figures (Hulk, Juggernaut) with the same needless changes instead of new characters.
  7. I haven't seen Van Helsing yet. Wanted to see it in the theatres but didn't have the time. But the Ulitmate Van Helsing DVD set is very tempting, has VH along with original Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolf Man movies. Even if VH is so-so, having the other three movies is pretty cool. I just can't get over the $40 price tag yet, maybe if it drops to $25-$20 I'll grab it. @grumpy@ curse my speedy scrolling @grumpy@ , I saw your spoilers CHA, but went too far and read what happened @firedevil@ , oh well, still want to see the film
  8. C3 Mini Flyers Check out the new pics from the fall toy fair. One picture shows a box for a Mr Freeze Flyer. Hopefully this will be added to the series of other flyers!
  9. Cut Face Thing w/ Helmet All they have to do is make some modifications to Silver Centurion Iron Man's mask and viola ... CF Thing's helmet.
  10. Cut Faced Thing Upon further inspection, CF Thing is pretty darn close to the comic (check out the screens on Face Of Doom). Now if they include his helmet this could be a really cool figure!
  11. The good thing about Routh being a relatively unknown is that they will need to have a good story for the film to be a big success. Now onto the speculation of the actors for the other characters!! Bring back Hackman! lol
  12. I was hoping the Cut Face Thing would have his helmet too. I don't understand why they changed Thing's head piece, I like the old one much better. I'm glad that the Punisher's different, and comes with guns!!! (comic con on left, series 9 on right)
  13. ^Punisher's lack of guns "Sharp" hopefully refering to his sword
  14. There are some subtle differences in the figures in the 10 pack than those from the regular series. The 10-pack Ghost Rider had a different hair color than the one from the regular series. Here's a pic of mine, although the pic doesn't do a lot justice in the color difference. large pic The 10 pack GR is on the left and the regular is on the right (w/o hand, just so I could tell the difference, he's not missing a hand in the pack). The 10 pack GR is yellow and the regular is orange/yellow. It's much more noticeable in real life. However the chains are the same (same length, color, etc) large pic The 10-Pack Iron Man's mask was easier to get on and off than the regular series one. Mainly because the material used seems to be lower quality for the 10-pack. Other than that the rest of the figures are pretty much the same as the regular series figures. Did anyone else notice any differences?
  15. Comparison of figures (left to right) Lego, Mega Bloks, 2" Minimates, Kubrick, 3" Minimates large pic
  16. Very Cool!!!! @bounce@ Where did you see this? I haven't seen any posters at the theatres yet.
  17. ^Agreed, definitely one of the funniest @loll@
  18. My question is what affect does this have on Minimates? And I guess the Lego Spider-Man sets have not been doing as well as they had hoped (maybe they'll go on clearance!!!! ).

  20. I got mine too. He's supposed to hold his cigar in his open right hand. But I got one with two left (closed) hands, so if anyone got a Thing with two right (open) hands and wants to swap, let me know.
  21. They keep teasing us with the big baddie, trying to give us the whole Lost World vibe. I wish they would give us just a little peak at it instead of the constant shaking of the trees. @hmmm@ I've been telling my wife it's a giant robot, I almost have her convinced (it also helps that one of the production co's for the show is called Bad Robot). But my guess is that it's a huge Bigfoot or Yetti.
  22. I know David Boreanaz would rather do an "Angel" movie but I'd take a couple of good tv movies instead. They could produce them much faster and we could finaly get some closure. Either that or they need to do a "Spike" series spinoff and address what happened after the last episode.
  23. If anyone is calling to check their local TRU to see if they have them make sure you use TRU ID # 656197 for the 10-pack. They have it listed as the Marvel Figure Gift Pack.
  24. M-F: Angel on TNT (glad they're showing season 5 again, missed some of them last year while my wife was pregnant) Wed: *Lost Thurs: *Survivor *CSI Fri: *Joan of Arcadia Sun: *Extreme Makeover Home Edition *Desparate Housewives (didn't plan on watching but after checking out the first episode we're hooked)
