I collect this obscure figure line... perhaps you've heard of it. GIJoe?

Why would you link to those crappy reviews? @wink@ You getting out of the game, Brandon?

I love mixing 3.75" scale toy lines together-- at least for some "humorous" photos. This year is proving to be a toy renaissance for me as so many lines are coming out in the "great scale". Here's a few older photos:

I just got the ship notice on mine from HTS this week so I should have him up not too long after he arrives. Of course, my opinion might vary on this from some folks as I've been collecting the Indiana Jones line which is the source of this figure's body construction. Glad to read that folks enjoy the reviews and find them helpful-- which was the reason I started writing reviews in the first place! Now I've got work on the vehicles, DVD packs, and the comic packs!

New product seems to be coming out every five minutes lately. However, finally I was able to sit down and work on getting caught up. The reviews for 2008 wave 5 have been added to the 25th Anniversary Review Index! Check 'em out and post your thoughts on these latest additions!

Bloomingdale?! That's just 2 hours north! C'mon Peoria!!

Just when you thought Justin and I were slacking off, squandering our time on Xbox LIVE instead of working on "important things", a brand new set of reviews debuts! Just hitting stores (and e-tailers) is 2008 wave 4-- featuring the long-anticipated release of Major Bludd! It's an interesting wave with some high points and some definite low points. You can check out the reviews (as well as a bunch of Indy gags) at the 25th Anniversary Review Index ! Also, a lot of folks have mentioned that the "white text on black background" was a bit hard to read. I adjusted the template somewhat to m

I would so be all over that set if it were released commercially! FANTASTIC work!

I managed to snag these myself on the way to work today. Pics: http://joebattlelines.com/phpBB3/viewtopic...?f=5&t=6296 Honestly, if it weren't for having to write reviews most of these figures would receive a "pass" from me.

General Hawk and I take a look at this latest wave of 25A figures that's only recently beginning to hit store shelves in any significant quantities. It's a pretty broad spectrum of characters from Spirit, Wild Bill, and Snake Eyes on the Joe side to the Cobra HISS driver and the much-anticipated Viper for Cobra. Somewhere along the way, Duke decided to change his clothes and "jump" on the bandwagon! Check them out at the 25th Anniversary Review Index!

That would be me. However, once I started buying these I just had to keep going. As of now, I've got one of everything (except for the two temple "action" deluxe sets) and a few extras. Raiders Indy: X2 Whipping Indy: X1 Belloq: X1 Sallah: X1 Marion Ravenwood: X1 Monkey Man: X1 Cairo Swordsman: X1 German trooper (individual): X4 Marion & Cairo Thug: X1 German trooper 2-pack : X5 Ugha warrior: X4 Cemetary warrior X4 Mutt Williams (jacket): X1 Mutt Williams (t-shirt): X1 Irina Spalko: X1 (although I see her all of the time) Colonel Dovchenko: X1 Russian Soldier: X5 Kot

Found mine yesterday at Target in Peoria, IL. I've yet to open it as I'm trying to make space to display my rapidly growing Indiana Jones figure collection. This line is simply too addictive! -
Holy Schnikes! That's a lot of troops! Are those all from the two-packs or are there some singles in there as well? I too have succombed to the lure of Indy and have bought a fair amount of the figure including a bunch of Russian and German soldiers. I haven't been this excited about a toy line in years-- and right now that includes GIJoe!

Wow, that's classy... especially for site staff. I'm sure Hasbro's thrilled with how they used a promotional figure. LAME! I'm glad to see that JayC used his for a constructive purpose such as posting the spotlight feature. That's how something like this should be used-- for the benefit of the community as opposed to the benefit of someone's wallet.
