  1. I don't know how many of you guys watch Zero Punctuation reviews, but I've always loved them. He more or less hates on just about every game he gets and its always interesting to see what faults he'll find in a game. Here's the Transformers: War for Cybertron review that just went up today. http://bit.ly/dl2s8T
  2. Ah ok? Maybe its just that its a small image, but he looks pretty weak (not talking physical strength). I have to say from what I've seen so far, nothing has really hyped me up for the movie. None of the pics so far other than the face shot of Sinestro has really made me excited.
  3. Seems likely if these DCUC vs MOTU 2 packs do well that this set will happen.
  4. Yeah, I thought so too. Hopefully we feel the same way once we're shown all of him.
  5. Honestly they would have to be done at a top top level. I don't love the characters as much as I love DC characters so I'd only get them if they were really well done....they couldn't do them half assed like sometimes happens with the DC Universe Classics figures or I'd pass on them. I'm not knocking DCUC, but for every truly awesome DCUC figure there are 3 or 4 kind of meh figures. Not from a character stand point, but from an execution stand point. Stuff like painted on suits instead of sculpted details, bodies that are too big for the character, repaints to existing molds that don't match up properly to what the character should look like. Stuff like that are a bit of a downer, I accept them because I love the characters dearly, but if that was done with the Wildcats it wouldn't hesitate to pass on them.
  6. You know in a way he kind of reminds me of the Cave Troll that attacked Frodo and company in Mines of Moria in the Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring movie.
  7. Ah cause that's what he is? You do know thats what Black Lanterns are right? There's dead heroes and villains that have been brought back to "life". I know it's not really in his Black Lantern suit/colors, but I think that's what they were going for...possibly for a later repaint without needing a new head. Also the original Blackhand figure looked almost like a carbon copy of this.
  8. Ah what is Kyle Rayner, chopped liver? @loll@
  9. To each his own I guess. They seemed ok to me. As far as accuracy goes, lots of figures in the Classics line aren't strictly accurate. It's not really that big a deal.
  10. Lets go with a more accurate name shall we. This line should be renamed "Green Lantern: capitalizing on stupid crossovers that get on supreme-d's nerves to get even more of his money cause he can't help buying things even if he doesn't like them". Honestly what's there to #@$#@ about, if you don't want them, don't buy them....you'll save yourself a lot of bother and money. Seems like a win win for you. @smilepunch@
  11. I hope the movie is good enough to make up for the less than impressive character designs. This version of Kilowog almost looks like an muscle bound alien scientist...maybe its just the expression in that image....but he doesn't look scary to me at all. He's not the badass drill sargent of the Green Lantern Corps. Also kind of weird that it almost looks like his muscles on his chest flow into the GL logo like its part of him.
  12. Good stuff, I need the Firestorm.
  13. Really? My Krib stands up fine....she doesn't even need the stand. Superman 2 was a bit of a trouble, but he's ok now. I don't like using the stands.
  14. You should pick it up, it was REALLY good, that and the Sinestro Corps War that came before it. I don't read comics myself but I like picking up the mini series. They're generally done in a way that brings you up to speed as to what had been happening before the story in the series started, so you're not really lost. I'll likely pass on Brightest Day though and just read the wiki, cause I had a chance to read the first 5 or 6 issues and I was blown away by just how boring it was and I don't just mean in comparison to Sinestro Corps Wars and Blackest Night....just next to anything it was boring.
  15. He looks good, I love these Black Lantern figures.
  16. A lot of those comic shops overcharge for figures....nothing new.
  17. AWESOME! Just awesome! Great job man....its a shame the repaint figure didn't come out like that, the new head would have made him worth getting again.
  18. He/it made for a great scheme....and for those that need to over analyze a cartoon, as noted by someone else, it was an Amazo prototype that hadn't assimilated many powers/abilities as yet. So Amazo really wasn't out of Batman's class at that point.
  19. I'm blown away! Your setup is just AWESOME! #US1#
  20. You sure that's not nostalgia speaking? Cause I saw Mask of The Phantasm again about 2 days ago and honestly what was awesome to me years ago now seemed like clumsy story telling. Characters made pretty wild assumptions for the weakest reasons....so much so that they were almost illogical reasons. For me it would have gotten an 'A' back in the day, but now is a very weak 'B-'. Well I haven't seen it in awhile, but I did watch it numerous times in the past and it held up each time. That's the hallmark of a good movie. This current one is ok, as far as i'm concerned the type of quality in storytelling and acting should be the par for DC animated movies but too many times they get lazy. I really think the should just drop the Bruce Timm art/production direction and start making animated films using the character but with entirely original stories.... Who wants to see the same story rehashed in another medium? regards the champ Considering the fact that the vast majority of people out there don't read comics I would say reusing stories that first showed up in a comic book first isn't going to stop. But it honestly sounds to me like you were unable the movie on its own merits and instead always had your comic knowledge in mind while watching the movie. But seriously taken as an alternative world/timeline that has nothing to do with the comics, what was wrong with this cartoon in terms of story telling, acting, pacing or action?

  22. It should be noted that Mercury's arms should be longer than a normal character's arms.
  23. You can vote them up with the little "plus" icon on the lower right hand corner of each post.
  24. Just pre-ordered 2 Low/Maash figures. The other figures I already have the DC Direct versions and in the case of Arkillo I prefer the DC Direct version so I get that one. I don't know what to do about Mongul though. Both The DC Universe Classics and DC Direct versions are flawed and lazy repaints.
