  1. I really love the Kotobukiya Justice League ArtFX+ statues, their sculpts and paint are just perfection. The only thing that keeps me from getting into them is their scale. They're just too big for me.
  2. Have to be honest, I'm not digging her at all. Really, they keep coming out with different designs for her and not once have they come close to matching, much less surpassing her original design.
  3. Can't lie, the LOTR sets look amazing. The Lone Ranger stuff look good too I guess, but they're not really my cup of tea.
  4. The Jean Grey and White Phoenix will be mine! I've been waiting what seems like forever for a "real" Jean Grey Marvel Legends figure!!!
  5. The figure looks great, though I'm not so sure why DC made him look so young. That's not the fault of sculptor, after all, he to follow the source material. The Brightest Day Green Arrow is kinda "talking" to me. Really not sure which one to get. Granted their individual price points might force me to get the new 52 version as the Brightest Day version is a bit costly now.
  6. I have to admit, I love the idea of getting figures based on the classic TV series....the Batmobile is just icing on the cake. If the figures end up looking like these press shots I'll be getting them all.
  7. The ads kinda have an 80s vibe to them. I do kinda wonder how safe these toys are though. Hmm, am I getting old?
  8. What scale are Kotobukiya statues done in? Are they basically the same scale as a typical DC Direct action figure? I'd love to order that Harley Quinn, but I'm not sure how big she is.
  9. LOL, Yeah? Ah well. I guess I just thought he had the change to be the first real Super Villain in the show. I really thought they could have done more with me. Get him to a point where he could control his temper, so he wasn't so out of control all the time. Ah well....too late now. Question, did they go straight from Batman Beyond to "The Batman". Just wondering cause that show was also a bit weak. Had some good points too, but I can't help but feel the designers damaged some of the bad buys with some really stupid design decisions. It's funny after watching the first episode when it premiered I never really watched it again. I was too HORRIFIED at what they had done to Joker. But later I would watch all 5 seasons on DVD and the show wasn't bad at all. Joker who was my fav. character in previous batman cartoons became my least favorite...but the writing wasn't half bad.
  10. The Mr. Freeze episode was cool as was the episode with the "old" Superman...but let's be honest they were the exception, not the norm. Inque was just potential that never really materialized into anything truly memorable over the course of the show's lifespan(to me at least).
  11. For me Batman Beyond was a low point in the Batman mythos. The bad guys were for the most part really bland. Blight was interesting, but he was really under used....I don't count using him as Derek Powers. I also never really liked Terry, maybe its just me but I can't stand the whole brooding teenage crap. The show wasn't bad, but for me it didn't come close to the previous Batman shows. The idea of show was cool (damn cool in fact), the potential was there, but poor story telling and uninteresting bad buys all made for a forgettable series. I'm sure "someone" is going to come in here talking about how they don't get why "comic book fans" are so over critical of cartoons, etc.
  12. Thanks for the heads up! LOW/MAASH is a bit disappointing....which is a shame since they're the only ones I ordered. Too much paint bleed.
  13. Female? When did Romat-Ru become female? Am I missing something?
  14. That was my first thought too....but then I thought well it might help with the energy constructs. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out.
  15. I find it highly amusing when people complain that a cartoon movie about comic book characters is too comic-bookie! What else should it be? Shakespeare? Too "comic-bookie"? What does that even mean? What are you talking about? @smilepunch@
  16. Hope the retail Low will look better than this. He and Maash are the only 2 figures I wanted from this wave. Thanks for the heads up Top Cat!
  17. How they brought the Joker "back" was super lame. Under the Red Hood is an easy win for me.
  18. Awesome group shot! I keep hoping DC Direct will do a remold of Superboy Prime in his Sinestro Corps costume!!!
  19. I really don't get how critical people are......comic fans and the like seem to just hate everything or seem to hate more than they love. I don't see how SB Apoc was any different in terms of style and substance to any other DC movie aside from UTRH and WW. Also that was pretty much the plot of the book, seriously Darkseid takes Supergirl and comes back to taunt Superman. Hey Pooda, did I beat you to it this time??? What the hell dude.....where were you pulling all that BS from? Are you for real? I spent $25 for the blu-ray and it wasn't worth $25, it was like a 3 part JLU episode, do you think 3 episodes of JLU is worth $25? Considering a whole season of JLU is $30 I would say no. Whether the plot was the same as the comic or not, doesn't change the fact that the story telling in the movie was weak. As I said, it wasn't bad.....just not what I would expect from a full length animated movie. Honestly why would Wonder Woman and Batman attack two of the most powerful beings on the planet, one of which is their fried? To prove Supergirl is dangerous? Really? If you enjoyed it that's fine, I'm not telling you not to like it. For me the writing was Saturday morning cartoon caliber and not worth my $25. Next, I don't know where you got that whole comic book fans BS, cause I hardly read comics. And beyond a few major story arcs, I have no clue what is going on in any comic series. Don't assume things bro, its not cool.
  20. I wont be buying this one. I bought the Superman/Batman: Apocalypse blu-ray and was really let down. It's not that it was bad, but the writing quality was more akin to a Justice League Unlimited episode than something you would expect from a full blown animated movie. Nothing really made sense, everything that happens just seems to be an excuse to have another fight. After Under the Redhood I thought the DC animated movies had turned a corner and then Superman/Batman brought me back to reality.
  21. Two? The Ion in wave two is Sodam Yat, not Kyle Rayner.
