that looks just like him! nice work!
  2. i took fairly decent care of my stuff when i was a kid (i was 10 when they came out, so i only had a few years of play left). when i got to be around 16 or os...thats when they got the fireworks treatment...
  3. my first joe was a 12" with kung-fu grip and realistc hair and beard. i was about 4 or 5 at the time. i had some marx johnny west guys and used to have them fight all the time. my first 3 3/4" joe was flash. they had just come out and my mom had seen them in the store and remembering how much i liked my 12" joe, she took me to the store to get one. flash looked so cool to me, so i picked him.
  4. i got mine. i had a preorder from gamestop, so no waiting in lines for me. i have it hooked up to a 55' samsung and it looks great. i watched the bluray 'talladega nights' which came with it on it and it looked good. not really as great as i wouldve expected. sony shouldve stuck something like spiderman or xmen in instead of 'talladega nights' to really show off what bluray can do.
  5. awesome paint and awesome use of parts!!! i really like it! he looks mean.
  6. "cuz i'm wearing them; and i just did!!! thanks! oops! i crapped my pants!"
  7. thats quite a different take on him. paint apps are near perfection! very futuristic looking to me. i think i would add a cape to help define him (imho). keep 'em coming!
  8. looks pretty good (as usual). keep it up!
  9. i started collecting toys in general. but with so many lines out and so much different stuff, i decided i needed to focus a bit. i was at my parents one weekend and dug out all my old toys and among them was a box of old joe stuff, which set off waves of nostaligia. that pretty much made the decision for me. i started getting back all the joes i had lost/broken over the years. then i started getting the stuff i never had but always wanted. in short, its a combination of love of toys and nosatalgia for me. if i was in it for the money, im doing something wrong, cuz im not making any!!!
  10. i dont really know what is considered underrated, but i LOVE the tiger sting. im a junkie for the original cobra stinger and the vamp II, and in those colors just makes it look all the better in my book.
  11. thanks, cmdr. the background is part of joe headquarters in my eventual diostory (still building sets!)
  12. i wonder what the reserves for them are set at? way too much regardless.
  13. hey thats great. its different but still has the feel of duke. keep it up.
  14. heres a few pics i snapped tonight with a few of my new props. man im digging this stuff!!! now what was that site? www.girlsgone.... duke takes out a soldier wwe style the soldier gets his payback!! lifeline gives duke an exam after his "run in" with cobra!
  15. no pics yet cuz the batteries in my camera were dead!!
  16. i have the pick in the slot on the back and just set the grapple hook on the 'ground' next to him.
  17. great job on all of them. your work has been improving (imho)since the first ones i saw up here some time ago. that strato-viper rocks. really, really nice work.
  18. on it. things like this can be stressful on those around, keep you chin up!
  19. he looks really good! great choice of gear.
  20. i got my stuff in today. its the first time ive bought from him. i will definately be buying more!. the stretcher is too cool!! im really pumped. ill try a sna[p a couple pics and psot them later. now i can start shooting my diostory. on a side note, the wife and i went on a raod trip this past weekend and was able to finally get my hands on the steel brigade set. now if only the viper packs would start showing up.
  21. how frickin' cool is that!!! i love the light up chest. killer custom. keep up the good work.
  22. great new pics. i like it so much better when figures are posed in scenes rather than lined up.
  23. thats pretty cool. a lot cooler than the one my mother in law hand knitted for me with my name on it. @smilepunch@
