  1. This has been a great show over the past few years. There are going to be several 3 3/4" Joe sellers at the show this year. I will be there with a large selection of MOC and MIB RAH figures and vehicles. I will also have a ton of loose figures all under $5 each. MATT
  2. Needing GI Joe Milton Bradley cards. Want list can be found here. Thanks, MATT
  3. I have 2 different 25th Cobra Troopers. The first is from the 2008 wave 8 (some call it wave 12) that included the Ninja Viper and cartoon Diver. It has the red emblem and red mask, it also has an all black rifle. The second one is packaged and carded the same but it it has a black mask and the rifle has brown paint details. At first I though it was just a repack from someone returning figures but I am finding them all over the Dallas area. Where did this one come from? What wave? Is it just a running production change? It is different from the 5 pack ones that were released as singles do to having the red emblem instead of the silver. I can not find it listed in yojoe either. Can any one help with this? Thanks, MATT

    The PITT

It has been a while since I posted here regularly but this thing has me very disappointed. Why have most of the large Joe playsets been dogs? It started with the 2nd headquaters (that we saw again for Street Fighters and in the RAH Collection era), the Cobra Mountain (lame SW remold), and now this strange item that Hasbro is calling the PITT. Star Wars collector are getting the Turbo Tank and last year got the 6 legged walker (AT-TE?) and this is the best they can come up with for Joe? In the past the justification has been a lack of interest and/or marketing (movie). Well last I checked we are getting a movie and interest is certantly on the rise. I expect more and better! Hasbro needs to stop cutting corners with Joe. The only way this one will make its way to my collection is when it reaches at least 75% retail on the clearance shelf, if even then. Hasbro we deserve and expect better!
  5. Just a reminder that the Great Texas GI Joe Show is this weekend at the Arlington Convention Center, where Wizard was held. There will dealers there with 3 3/4" items. And there will be a sneak preview of a certain ninja that was produced by a company other than Hasbro. He is here now in hand ready to be seen in public for before Toyfair! I was able to see it last night and it is better than any picture can do it justice. There is also a special offer to those that order him or one of "The Enemy!" figures at the show. Hope to see many of you there. MATT
  6. I would say that it is 50/50, those that take cards and those that don't. I would bring some cash. MATT
  7. Recieved this email about the Joe show that is here in the Dallas Area. It was a great one last year and I expect it to be even better this year. Worth the drive and I sold and bought as much at this show as I did at the Con. I have sold at the last 3 and have done very well and plan on selling at this one as well. MATT The Great Texas G.I. Joe Show will be back in 2009 - February 7th and 8th to be exact. The show will be at the same place as this year - the Arlington Convention Center , but we're moving into bigger digs to accommodate the dealers better and to also have an even bigger tank obstacle course. Cotswold Collectibles, Creative Diversions, and True Scale Armor are already on board, and the following are but a few of the dealers checking their calendars to see if they can make it: - Toy Chest and Collectibles - Echo Base Toys - Newline Miniatures - Plastic Panzers - Timewalker Toys - Ace Allgood - Guru Planet - The Toy Matrix - Eva's Junque Shop - Louis Simmons' 3&3/4" Figures Also, if you would like to be a dealer at this show, please gimme a holler at gbrown@whidbey.net. We'll be sure to keep this thread updated with more info as it becomes available. Hope to see you there! Greg Brown Great Texas G.I. Joe Show V www.greattexasgijoeshow.com
  8. I got my two that I ordered today. The box has woodgrain printing. MATT
  9. This picture was over at Joe Battle Lines. I don't remember seeing it or hearing about it at the con. It is a clear Wraith but where did this one come from?
  10. There will be at least 3 dealers there with 3 3/4" joe product, vintage, and all forms of modern and custom stuff.
  11. For the second year the local GI Joe club, along with the Houston club and the LSSR, will have a GI Joe show. There was a little bit of everything thing there last year. This year the event has moved to a new location in Arlington (near Six Flags, Rangers' Ballpark, and the new Cowboys stadium). I was there selling and so was Alyosha. The official GI Joe Collectors Club will be there as well. The official link is here. MATT
  12. Thanks guys. This was simple and quick to do. As soon as I can get some more stickers ordered and a pair of ant. from an AWE Striker I will have another one to post. MATT
  13. There is a custom troop/cargo transport. The base is a PTE Hummer with stickers from GI Joe Heaven. This will be in my dio for the convention this year. And the stickers from GIJ Heaven are great, well worth the price!
  14. I saw it yesterday at TRU as well. $30 though, and a little out of my toy funds for the moment. Nice piece though, add a little Cobra Blue to it, and REAL nice piece. Anyone have pics? MATT
  15. Only difference is the Walmart Land guy has kung-fu grip, the Hot Topic guy apparently has the traditional hard hands. Hearing other reports that the AT insignia on the uniforms are not stickers--but are printed or silk-screen on the fabric Also that some Air Adventurers have been found WITHOUT the insignia--but should that happen to you, there's a few after-market places where you can get accurate stickers for them. The Land Adventurers are identical, they both had KFG. And I opened 3 Air Adventurers and none had decals. MATT
  16. Are they also going to have some of their older items? I am in need of one of their cargo/troop trucks. Anybody seen one lately or have one they no longer need? MATT
  17. This happened to me as well from the same seller. And read the feedback again it states that the figures were not recieved but that they did receive a 110% refund. Just because some are taking it better than you and I they choose to still leave a positive, I won't. MATT
  18. I have one of those cases and they are great. Mine has my Battlestar, Buck Rogers, and Dreadnok customs that Aly did for my dio a few years ago. I liked it so much that I ordered 2 more and as soon as the repairs to my house are done I get to reset my Joe room and finally get them up as well. MATT
  19. This may be true but this is the only one that I visit on any type of regular basis. Having seen this game before I would suggest that members have experience from all sections of Joe history from 64 to now in all scales. MATT
  20. I saw these and thought BATS as well. There are several versions of these. Are they an OC from playmates or are they based on some comic or cartoon? MATT
  21. Here is the link to my stuff I need to move along right here! MATT

    ML Showdown

I need these! I am usually over in the Joe area but I need help finding these for a resonalbe price. Can anybody over here help? Thanks, MATT
  23. That was funny! Someone just needs to add a lipsync joe figure and we can out do that BurgerKing song! MATT
  24. Why are several of you refering to this being the last one? Short of Hasbro drying up and blowing away and Brian not having access to parts the cons are going no where. MATT
  25. They bumped it due to Hasbro wanting BotCon the weekend before the movie opens, which just happens to be Joe Con weekend. If Transformers was opening in March or June it would of been moved to then. Instead they switched Con weekends, get over it already! They are not "trying to kill Joe" I cannot wait. Hot-lanta here we come!! Michael Bulletman Big B All Hail DOB!! Get over it? Have you ever seen me be negative on the boards, usually I tend to be rather level headed. I happen to be a bit bothered by their choice on the date. Sept is a stupid time for a con, transformers or joe. How many people wont be able to go because of the switch, kids, school and work will make it hard. Hell if they actually get more people next year i'll eat my words, but im betting they get less. Granted they will most probally get more people then last year as Atlanta is close to alot of collectors and last years location bothered alot of people (it was a great con, but seemed rather empty). I know all about bot con, and I know why it was moved. That doesnt change me being unhappy about it. And have you seen anything new from hasbro for joe? Seems to me like the line is fading away rather quickly. Plus we still havnt even gotten an official announcement from master collector, its almost january. Tell me that isnt just a little messed up. I hope its a great con, those atlanta guys are very cool. Maybe they can tie this in with joelanta, im not sure on the date of that. If its close I might have to go, wouldnt mind seeing those guys. While I have been absent from arround here for some time this I felt I needed to respond. The move to the fall stinks! Not with holding the Transformer con and those that are avid collectors of Transformers (I had them as a kid) but it is a crime that they are getting treated better than Joe collectors ever have. But lets get back on track. Mastercollector (aka Brian) has always said that they wanted their events to be a "family vacation" type of event. Well I think that NO (even though I had fun) proved that wrong. My sons would love to go again but I would not take them to NO and I will not take them out of school. And now moving it into the fall when kids and even many adult collectors will be in school and those trying to get off of work as most places are gearing up for the holiday promotions planning. This is a bad move. If this is true this will be the lowest attended con, perhaps ever. And even though I have a Bulletman enough with the DOB, it is getting old. It was a drunken laugh at a very odd Hasbro creation. MATT
