  1. Is that how Mmcc got into circulation, with that sears exclusive?

    -saboteur

I think so. That and through the mail-order.

    Yeah, your right.

    (quoted from YOJOE.com)

The logo variant was available mail-in in 1982 and some were also available in the Cobra Missile Command Headquarters set.

The filecards that came with the first mail-in Cobra Commander have a rough cardboard backing, while the filecards that came with the carded Cobra Commander do not. The filecards that came with the Cobra Commanders from Hasbro Direct have a glossy red backing - like all filecards from Hasbro Direct. Filecards included with the Sears exclusive Cobra Missile Command Headquarters also had the red backing.

I guess i should always check with good ol' YOJOE!.

  2. Even among collectors today, far more can boast of complete Flaggs or Terrordromes in their collection than can for Defiants.

    I knew i heard(or read that somewhere).

I have two terrordromes, and one defiant. (one td is complete)no flagg

does anyone know which is harder to find, the maroon firebats, or the red ones?

also, are there some pics of those unproduced figs?

  3. See, those are some good ones, the terror drome isnt that hard to find besides those annoying hoses imo. Which is the hardest night force figure to come bye? I got nf shockwave for 50cents at a flea market two weeks ago but thats the only nf thing i own. that was sweet. I think a complete rolling thunder deserves a spot on the list. and maybe rumbler, the guy who drives the R/C car. Ive never seen one of those. Keep those grails comin.

  4. Everyone knows there own grails they covet in the GO JOE line. What are some that you would say fall into this category. This doesnt include mip things, just loose.

here are some i thought of

    1)The FLAGG

    2) MM Cobra commander

    3) Starduster?

    4) Steel Brigade

can you add to the list?

  5. Yeah, i liked them two. How many of you opened/kept them mip? I kept em mip. They just looked cool that way. I especially like snake eyes holding that uzi. The only complaint i have is the baroness' glasses. BLUH! thats just my opinion though. they just looked way too big for her head. Oh well, 8/9 isnt bad.

  6. Today i got 2 BATS, a neo viper, and a claws. Check out (dont know if you have any) Ocean State Job lot, they got a bunch also, but the packs are 2.50 a figure, although they had a lot of army builders, mainly neos and IGs. the lady at my family dollar gave me the ol' "whats out is out" crap, but i got some good figs. didnt sound like they were getting any more. Is 2 bucks or 2.50 a good deal? HOW MUCH DO THEY RETAIL FOR AT CVS?? ive been trying to find this out but have not gotten an answer. an answer would be great. thanks

  7. Of course. I really dont think McDondalds, or Hasbro had toy collectors in mind while making these. They had 4-10 year olds in their minds. For the most part though, its good that theyve made some actual figures, even if they are T-crotch. Does anyone know it if these can be aquired without buying the happy meal?

  8. What did you expect?? They're McDonalds toys. I seriously hope you didnt think they would actually be...be...good. Thats why i wondered if the backpackers were 3 3/4 inch. The vehicle/figure combos are just like the spiderman ones they had back in the 90s.

  9. Yeah, I agree. Sometimes in the process of building your collection, you lose sight of the things you already have. Sometimes, i go on buying sprees, and will just Continuously purchase items that i may or may not need, and i always have to slow myself down to appreciate the collection that i've worked so hard to develop. Its good to take a rest from the buying once and a while in my opinion. At least 'til you find more space, that is. @firedevil@

  10. See, im kinda a completist-to a certain extent. My range is 82-90, and im trying to get every figure in that line-like 40 more to go. Night Force/ Sky Patrol and all that stuff is so expensive i was wondering whether or not to collect them, (also case space) but today i picked up a night force shockwave at a flea market for 50 cents. @smile@ looks like I'll have to make that space. To answer the question- even if i had unlimited money, i would still feel guilty spending that amount of money on toys- like i do now if i buy expensive stuff. Its much more fun to wait for that awesome buy. I got my two terror dromes at flea markets for 25 a piece(ones complete).

  11. I called TRU up today to see if they'd match the online prices and they said they would, but they'd have to include shipping costs. So everything pretty much came out to the same price@sad@. That really bumbed me out because i wanted some money off my Urban set and my MCC.

  12. Hey, kids cartoons (especially in the 80s) are notorious for containting subliminal messages/images.@hmmm@ I was just wondering if anyone has found anything like that Joe related in the cartoons, or even the comics.

  13. #US1# I just got the MCC FINALLY!!!! The sale was for $24.99, plus I printed out the 25% off from the Toys R Us website and TRU honored it @smilepunch@ !!!

Where's the 25% coupon on the website? Do they always honor it, or did they make a mistake hence the ( @smilepunch@ ) ?
