  1. haha...i've been seeing these on ebay a lot. I wonder how it looks when someone wears it! -saboteur
  2. for sale OR trade...check out my signature. wanted: NF sneak peak OR SMB mainframe -saboteur
  3. Thats great! What program did you use to make him?? -saboteur
  4. Like ct said, use krylon blue...its pretty good. For masking the windows, just use masking tape. -saboteur
  5. I'd definitely call it a variant. Its not a paint "error" because it would require completely different paint, and its not like he's missing eye paint all together....its different, so its a variant. Even if there is just one. Nice find, i'll keep my eyes open. This is like the original cobra troopers with brown eyes vs. black eyes in the 80s. -saboteur
  6. Really sorry to hear about this arrow... its hard when stuff like that happens. I know I really get into a slump when something like this arises or happens in my own life because its mind-blowing how short life actually is in the grand scheme of things. Instead of obsessing over what could happen, or what might happen in the future I just try to cherish what i have now when i'm in that kind of mindset. Love your family while you can, enjoy your friends, etc. People are the only things that matter. -saboteur
  7. they should definitely give us some in a joe pack to go up against the new cobra pack. -saboteur
  8. I hope this figure is good.... the thing i'm most worried about is the camo. I'm surprised they didnt change the gun in the card art like they did to flint's. -saboteur
  9. They should have stuck with the o-ring VvV style but made all revamps of the older figures like what they are doing now. It seems like maybe the style of figure they are doing now is costing them a bit more too.(why so many repaints so fast?..couldnt they wait a while?) -saboteur
  10. Wow!! that one looks really cool!!! Nice work, i cant wait to see the finished product. -saboteur
  11. yeah you make a very valid point lance... the cardbacks no matter how good cant ever be EXACTLY like the originals. But I think AFA can be fooled. After all...how "EXPERT" can they actually be on how a 1982 snake eyes MOC figure looks like? Bend the corner, crush the bubble a little bit maybe, throw an old $2.99 price tag on there. I think you could pass of a fake C6 repro cardback no problem. You're right though, loose figures would definitely be easier than moc ones. I've actually heard of some resealed star wars figures getting through graded...cant confirm that though but i know i did hear it. Does anyone actually KNOW the process AFA goes through to grade/verify a figure or do we just throw figures at them blindly so they can put their stamp of approval on it?? -saboteur
  12. there is NO way the joe collector could get in trouble for it. IMO it NEEDS to be done. AFA is the BIGGEST scam going. They are getting $$ for doing NOTHING. Who made them the "action figure authority" anyway?? Its such bs. Especially now with their new "loose grading"...there's gotta be tons of refurbished figures getting through with great grades. For one of many examples...a cobra de aco with chipped no chrome left on his head might be worth $30. One with Shiny never touched chrome can fetch over $100 easily. AFA would NEVER know if one was re-chromed. There's just too many things that they cant verify. They aren't doing scientific analysis with carbon dating...there's no way for them to know if something's original except by looking at it----which is exactly what any knowledgeable collector could do for FREE. Even a figure with a little superglue in his leg will tighten its joints up and bump up a grade. I highly doubt AFA takes apart the figures it gets. The figure could even be GLUED together and get a perfect grade! If anything joe collectors should get their lawyers on AFA for selling them a flawed service. Stupidest thing EVER. The day AFA goes down is the day i celebrate. -saboteur
  13. Even if they just slapped a silver symbol on a regular black and blue cobra trooper and called him a Viper Pilot instead of storm shadow i would be satisfied. -saboteur

    5-packs

they should do a "driver" five pack....cutter, heavy metal, ace, steeler, keel haul? there are a ton of figures that need updates -saboteur
  15. No... I REALLY hope they pass the test of time cause i have my ENTIRE collection in those baggies. 3000+ joes....I had some custom cast white parts in the baggies and they have started to VERY faintly yellow. Like you say, its probably just plastic quality, but if there is any yellowing at all it makes me nervous. I wish there was a way to definitively test if the bags hurt the figures -saboteur
  16. I've had TERRIBLE luck finding the 25th sets or single cards........i have had very good luck, however, finding SS's and SE's -saboteur
  17. My baggies are fine....my white v1 storm shadows are looking just the way they should. I guess it is just the corps figures. But the baggies definitely had something to do with it i have corps figures that i've stored for years with no yellowing. So even if they are of inferior plastic, there is still some chemical reaction going on that could cause figures of other better plastic to deteriorate slightly. -saboteur
  18. those look pretty indistinguishable... some of them say "replica" over the bar code, and some do not. I would LOVE to see someone send one in to AFA, get it graded, and then post the results all over joe boards. That would absolutely ruin any reputation AFA may have had with the joe community. -saboteur
  19. heat'll do it though. Its probably just that type of baggie dude. sucks but now you know not to keep other figs in those. -saboteur
  20. was it really hot under your bed????? what kind of baggies were they in??? sealed bags or sandwich ones that you roll? -saboteur
  21. its DEFINITELY grunt. you can see his face in this pic! And the lower legs dont match snakes haha... plus, will one of those original helmets even FIT on snake eyes?? -saboteur
  22. YET ANOTHER mistake found. they give the answer as snake eyes. Its grunt though right -saboteur
  23. i've heard that plastic bags can do that.......what kind of baggies were they in??? I hope this isnt the case because i have ALLL my vintage figs in ziplock 3x5 baggies. -saboteur
  24. do you have a link to all your customs?? I'd really like to see that hiss driver. -saboteur
