  1. I'm close to giving up. With the figures hard to find in stores, and the fact that even though some of these figures can be had for cost + shipping, that still comes out to $15-17 a pop, the line has become too expensive and stressful to collect. Hell, I don't even know why I'm still into it. They barely change anything from each figure, so it's like I own 50 identical little plastic men. Gah. This is making me miss the glory days of ML.
  2. I'll be honest: aside from that Wolverine, I'd be happy with any of these figures. Hop to it Hasbro.
  3. True dat. I found a solitary Baron Zemo today, and it had the worst paint ever. I'm not a paint nazi, but there was red running on the gold crown, white leaking out onto his skin from the eyes, and a gold streak on the chest.
  4. Let me state that I don't think anyone wants Thor-buster Iron man, and almost everyone would prefer to have Destroyer as a normal figure, with Thorbuster as the variant. Thor-buster? It's Iron man with a little recieving thing on his head. Hulk Buster looked awesome, and was different enough to warrant buying. When was the last time Thor needed busting?
  5. Also, the people who stick things in Lawaway because they hope it'll get cheaper later are being dicks. If you don't want it at full price, someone else probably does.
  6. I dunno, Lawaway just seems so unfair. You either have the money to buy them outright, or you should just leave them there for someone who does.
  7. Well, I picked up most of the wave at Kbtoys for the past week/week and a half. I still need Pyro and Lady Deathstrike though.
  8. As far as I can tell, the only place that got ML13 was a random KBtoys that was completly cleared out ML wise. Christ, at this point, I'd be happy if I found the two-packs. That Hulk looks friggin awesome, and their is no point in having Bullseye without a DD or a Kingpin (christ, I should've gotten Elektra).
  9. Ah, don't give me that, "Gas prices, we can't afford to make large figures!" bullcrap. What the hell was Marvel Legends Icons? Hell, it was what, an inch and a half shorter than Giant-man? With solid plastic and the same articulation as a normal figure? Christ, at that cost, a normal buildafigure packaged and sold indihvidually should be twenty to twenty-five dollars. And seriously, Mojo is way bigger than that. Shame on you for making him into a small, cheap little plastic thing. And why the hell did you need to spread out Giantman over ten figures? You can price out a figure with basically half of the build-a-figure, but you can't price out the arms?
  10. GAH! Dangnabbit, I still need a Sue to round of my FF4. I hope Hasbro re-releases Sue, Dragon man, Kang and Super-skrull.
  11. Meh, I've seen these things everywhere. At Walmart, Toysrus, Target...EVERYWHERE. I wish the two-packs or wave 13 were distributed as much as these dudes. The icons line also makes me wonder as to why they won't release Giantman this way. He's only 1.5 inches taller than them, so hypothetically, if they boxed him and sold him, he'd probably go for $20.
  12. I don't think Lee took the Hulk very far off its mark. Its could be argued that X-men and Punisher are even further away from what they could have been. Technically speaking, Daredevil is about the closest any marvel films hits thus far--even though I think the flick stinks. Ang Lee tried something, on several fronts with the Hulk that audiences didn't seem to "get". The story is essentially quite morbid anyway; a man becomes a monster. In this case, the monstrosity is a hereditary thing, and the son now tries to redeem both himself and his father--even though he's a worse monster than his dad---until Dad get's some superpowers that is. Lee didn't even write the story, James Schamus did, and Schamus, John Turman and Michael France wrote the screenplay. Personally, I'd rather have seen the "science gone amok" rather than "anger-challenged scientist dad gone amok" kind of story. The splitscreen gimmick came from Lee's own admitted "ignorance" on how to do a "comicbook movie"--so he took some of it to attempt a literal visualization of a comicbook AS a movie. Comics are a admittedly cheezy kind of entertainment medium, and so the gimmicl came across as cheezy. I think its also distinct and novel, but that's just me. I think the film succeeds in gaining sympathy/empathy for the Hulk--which is the crux of the story's purpose. I think its a fairly mature story ( Hulk-poodles aside) and tries to tackle some fairly deep things. Its not a great film, I think I can see where a lot of people were frustrated by it, but i do think it works. I also think that a re-do is probably a good idea, as what was learned the first time around can be re-thought for the second time. I would also like to see more action. The Hulk is fine against military hardware, but he'd be terrifying against cities and such. With the Abomination as a foe, there's a potential for some really fun visuals. Maybe it's just me, but any movie where you come in expecting some awesome action scenes, but you come out after watching some really dark, really close fight scenes with fierce fighting sounds posted in just piss me off. Seriously, too close, too dark, and too fast. As far as I know, Hulk is having sex with those dogs.
  13. Well, a line where they sell full build-a-figures (the big ones and the small ones) would kickass, as would a re-release of popular and hard to find figures like Super-skrull and Deadpool. Everybody likes to army-build, so releasing the henchman would kickass too. Forbrushman and frogthor and wild child and x-babies are also awesome, so it would kickass if those where released too.
  14. I really don't care about joes too much, but I would crap my pants if they ever made a ML style Vader. It is there destiny to make a ML style Vader. I don't even want anyone else, just Vader.
  15. I finally manage to find Thor and Bright-yellow bearded sentry. Anyone got any tips for tightening Thors legs?
