  1. Thought I would help out synch and just post it so people don't have to click on a link. Motu classics club eternia subscriptions - four horsemen Hey, all of you He-Fans and She-Ravers! As we’re sure you’ve all heard by now, the number of subscribers to the 2013 Masters of the Universe Classics Club Eternia at Mattel (MattyCollector.com) has dropped drastically from last year to this year. This has put the future of the line in danger of being cancelled altogether. We’ve seen a lot of the discussion on various message boards and blogs surrounding this issue, and many people have commented that this may be some sort of ruse by Mattel just to sell more subscriptions and that there’s no true danger of the line ending. Well, you should know by now that we’ve always tried to be as open, honest and transparent with the fans as we could possibly be, and we’re telling you now that the Masters of the Universe Classics action figure line IS currently in danger of ending sooner than expected because of a sudden and drastic drop in the number of subscriptions to the line. Mattel has never reached out to us for our assistance about anything of this nature in the past. In this case they have, so we know this is serious and we’re 100% confident that everything you’ve heard described by them is absolutely true, but it also tells us that there are people at Mattel that are as passionate about this stuff as many of the fans are and don’t want to see it end prematurely again. They’re not trying to get subscriptions because they need the extra money. As beloved as Masters of the Universe Classics is, monetarily it’s barely a blip on Mattel’s enormous radar. MotU Classics is a sort of love letter to all of the fans of the property who’ve kept the Eternian fire alive for this line over the past thirty years, and hopefully will continue supporting the property in their usual rabid manor however they can for many years to come. We’re not going to get into the speculation of why or how the number of subscriptions might have so drastically dropped between last year and this year. You’ve probably read all of that stuff over and over again at this point. But we will say that even with the hiccups that have taken place throughout the history of the MotU Classics line, we still feel that it’s still one of the coolest toy lines produced today (possibly ever – at the risk of sounding conceited), and it amazes us that a massive corporation like Mattel has such love for the toy line and the fans that they’d continue to make every effort to produce the figures even without any sort of media backing or any huge return on their dollars invested. What may seem like just a giant toy producing machine to many of you, is actually a large group of people that are just as excited and anticipatory as each of you are about each new MotU Classics figure’s release. When these “hiccups” within the line occur, you can bet that it upsets them just as much as, if not more than, it upsets you and us. So what happens now? Well, at this point we’re going to beg you to subscribe if you haven’t already. And the only real reason we’re begging at this point is so we’ll all have a shot at getting all of those awesome characters that you’ve all wanted to see in 3D plastic form in the MotU Classics line since it’s inception. We want them too! Ninjor? Mermista? Dragstor? Octavia? Squeeeze? Hydron? Peekablue? Saurod? Rio Blast? Batros? Gwildor? (okay… maybe not Gwildor) Freakin TWO-BAD?!? C’mon. Cornboy WANTS his Two-Bad… Are you going to make Cornboy cry? Don’t make Cornboy cry. There are obviously many more characters we could list here, but you get the idea. We’re not saying that any of the characters listed above are currently scheduled to be made, and we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to get to every single character that’s been requested, but what we can guarantee is that if the subscription levels needed to keep this line alive are not met, there’s absolutely no way we’ll get to see all of the characters we’d like to see in MotU Classics. So, the bottom line is – PLEASE subscribe, and please spread the word as much as possible to get others to subscribe as well. There’s only a little more than a week left to get your subscription rolling, so time is of the essence. You can go here http://www.clubs.mattycollector.com/...rID.5373544308 to begin your 2013 subscription to the MotU Classics Club Eternia. We’re not asking as a bunch of guys who’re working on the line. We’re asking as fans of Master of the Universe and this toy line. Please subscribe to the 2013 Masters of the Universe Classics Club Eternia. Thanks! -FOUR HORSEMEN-
  2. As I understand it should the minimum number not get met to Continue MOTUC's with the 2013 sub Mattel must refund everyone who bought the sub their money back, then the few figures they put out will be sold day of sale only on Matty Collector for the $30-$35.00 range not including shipping and Ram -Man will not be made. ram-Man's tooling is too costly and Mattel needs the years sub banked to justify the production of a 100% brand new tool like Ram-Man. Jutsu and a few others who share parts might be made, but there is also the possiblilty that Mattel Management could say ok well since the sub didn't even make the minimum needed to go forward thats it and no figures get made period.
  3. Here you go Synch, They had the bio posted over on He-Man.org The bio picture was too small but they typed what all the bios said so people could read them. Castle Grayskullman - Heroic Embodiment of Castle Grayskull Real Name: Not Applicable During the Second Ultimate Battleground, Hordak and King Hsss' grand army pressed in against the allied heroes of Eternia. In the darkest moment of battle, all hope seemed lost as many heroes fell, including Snake Man-At-Arms and Stratos. Reaching out through the Orb of Power, hidden deep inside Castle Grayskull, He-Man and the new Sorceress used an unrepeatable spell to call upon the Power of Grayskull and infuse life into the very spirit of the castle itself. Rising from the castle's hidden Chamber of Defense, Castle Grayskullman marched into battle, swinging his dual swords of power, helping to turn the tide.
  4. Daniel Benedict, the winner of the MOTUC Create-A-Character contest created this Vintage Era MOTU commercial featuring his winning character, Castle Grayskullman! It's the bio re-enacted, showing the story of his origins during the Second Ultimate Battleground! He posted it on He-man.org first and has everyone cheering for him and laughing and now wanting to buy his figure in December. I love the castle door smashing hordak, I rewind it to smack him over and over LMAO!
  5. Toyguru Update on 2013 Subscriptions Big news people!!! Hey Matty Fans, Just flew in from SDCC (yeah yeah, boy are my arms tired…) and we are revved up for an amazing 2013 with 3 fantastic subscriptions for MOTUC (Club Eternia), DCU (Club Infinite Earth) and our all-new line of 6” figures, comic book-styled WATCHMEN in our Club Black Freighter line! How awesome is that?! We have had a few changes from past years, the most noticeable is a price increase on basic figures (i.e., MOTUC going from $20 to $25).To quell any rumors, I can confirm we are not overloading our pockets here. This price increase is 100% due to the skyrocketing cost of producing these figures over the last few years. Every 6” figure is handmade and hand assembled. And honestly, we just can’t keep 2008 pricing anymore in 2013. Labor, raw material and shipping has all gone way up. We REALLY don’t want to cost-reduce figures by removing deco and/or accessories. To maintain the same high quality and value in our figures in today’s economy, prices do need to go up. And there is another change… Much like with our partner site Hotwheelscollector.com, in 2013 we are going to be switching much more to a subscription only model. Some figures will still have EXTREMELY limited “day-of” stock (meaning our regular sales to the general public on the 15th of each month), but many figures for all the clubs will have none at all. This means the ONLY way to know for sure you’ll be able to complete your collection for all lines now is to subscribe for the full year. Why do we need to do this? Basically, it is economics. High-end, fully detailed, highly articulated figures take a lot or resources to produce. In the “new economy” we are faced with many production challenges and the solution available to us (for the most part) is to only produce high end collector figures if we have locked in guaranteed sales (that is the whole point of the sub). In 2013, we are really in a position where we can no longer put out collector figures day-of and just hope that fans will buy them. So what does this mean? Honestly, buy a sub. Seriously. If you are a fan of MOTUC, DCU 6” or WATCHMEN, it is decision time. Quantities of day-of stock will be (and I mean this in the nicest way) ridiculously low or non-existent. Many figures for all lines will not be offered day-of at all. While we would love it if our collector lines could work for every collector’s particular buying habits (i.e., some collectors only buy teams or females or vintage figs, etc.) or every individual economic situation. But at the end of the day, under the new economy in today’s world, in 2013 we just can’t do that. If you are a fan of our lines, the sub is now your way to make sure you get your figures. If you are counting on day-of sales, you very well may be out of luck. We know this won’t work for every customer, but it is the reality of where we are today. Now we are going to do everything we can to plus-up the subs as much as possible. In addition to sub-only figs like Mallah and King He-Man and being able to vote on the Fan’s Choice figure for 2013, MOTUC sub holders will also get items like the Subternia Map, the Origin of Skeletor mini comic, and all sub holders will get sneak peeks at upcoming figures well ahead of the general public (like we did for Mekaneck and Uncle Sam recently). We will redouble our efforts to ensure you have the info first! Sub holders deserve that. We’re also adding Early Access in 2013, which gives all subscription holders the chance to buy NON-SUBSCRIPTION items from any brand approximately 2 to 3 business days (depending on the sale date) before they’re available to the general public! So, for example, when a product that isn’t part of a subscription goes on sale (like Granymyr or the PKE Meter), all subscribers will get the first chance to buy product through Early Access. If it sells out during the Early Access period, that’s it – there won’t be any product for non-subscription holders to buy. Once Early Access opens, it will stay open for until the product sells out or the monthly sale begins, whichever comes first (again, approximately 2 to 3 business days). For the most part, purchase limits will be set to the normal limit of 10 (any changes will be noted on the product page). We’re still working on getting Early Access products to ship with subscription products and will post as soon as we have an answer. Right now it is just early access to buy but we hope to also let you combine Early Access with sub shipments. Update on this as soon as we confirm it will work. All subscribers will get a reminder email before Early Access opens and we’ll also post reminders in our Forums and on Facebook and Twitter. IMPORTANT NOTE: Early Access will NOT allow you to buy SUBSCRIPTION items from other brands early. If you have a Watchmen subscription, you can’t buy Club Eternia subscription products early – but you CAN buy MOTUC Classics products that aren’t part of Club Eternia, like Granymyr. Again, Early Access lets subscribers have the first chance at purchase products that aren’t available in one of the subscriptions. If you want subscription products, you need to buy a sub or take the chance that it may not be available day-of. For our international customers, we’ve done our best to hold our shipping rates at 2008 levels, but the truth is we’ve been losing a ton of money on shipping and are now forced to raise International Postal (non-trackable) rates by $5 just to cover our costs. To help this, though, we’re offering a new, lower cost option for international customers for 2013: UPS International will be replaced with DHL, which provides a better service, including signature delivery and 2 to 3 day delivery times in most regions, at a substantially lower price than UPS International. We will still offer International Post as an option if you really want it but “lost” or “not received” shipments will not be replaced or refunded. And to address the big elephant in the room: we know the buying experience has not been perfect. In the past few months we have made great strides to improve this with initiatives such as our new US-based Customer Service team and a soon to be launched revamped “My Subscription” page letting customers control things like their shipping address and payment options. We are 100% committed to continuing to improve the buying and shipping process until it is perfect. You have my word on that. So if you are on the fence as to whether or not to get a sub, remember, day-of may not be an option anymore. DAY-OF STOCK WILL BE EXTREMELY LIMITED and MANY FIGURES WILL NOT HAVE ANY DAY OF STOCK IN 2013. It may not work for everyone, but in today’s economy, without guaranteed presales, we just can’t move forward anymore with high end collector figs. If anyone has questions, feel free to post on the Ask Matty forums on Mattycollector.com. We have some amazing figs planned for 2013. If you want a complete collection, now is the time to act and the 2013 subs are the only way to know for sure you’ll get all of next year’s club releases. There will also be no reissues of any 2013 fig (or 2012 figs for that matter!). And please remember Club Eternia and Club Infinite Earths products that are purchased day-of cost will be priced higher than when you get them through a subscription. Subs are on sale now through Aug 6th. We won’t be doing any extensions so there are just 18 days to go! Don’t get left in the dark and find yourself with an incomplete collection, missing that figure you’ve been waiting for all these years (Ram Man, anyone?)! Scott “Toy Guru” Neitlich PS: While we are only metering DCU’s sub, all of the subs are technically on the chopping block now (including MOTUC). If we don’t receive the minimum number of orders, any figures already tooled may be released quarterly but the full year can potentially be canceled (much as we unfortunately had to do for Ghostbusters in 2012). So again, if these are toy lines you love, the best way to support them and guarantee your figures (and that the lines actually go forward) is to subscribe. Without the minimum number of subscribers, none of our lines will be able to move forward. If you are on the fence and we have a toy line you love, subscribe to see it continue! Your sub purchase is your vote for more toys. Simple as that.

  7. why would you need to make a profit on the figures you don't want in a subscription? Whats the matter with just making your money back? I personally don't care for New Adventures figures in MOTUC's but I know lots of fellow collectors do like them so I offer what I don't want for what my cost was plus the cost to ship the figure to the person. This way I make my money back on that figure and I help out a fellow collector.
  8. I ordered a 2013 subscription to Club Eternia. This will make my 3rd year as a subscriber and honestly i'm not sorry as each year the character selection gets better. Yeah we were only shown a small part of the 2013 linup, but Ram-Man, Jitsu, Fang-Man hey those are great for starters and you know Mattel always shows more at Powercon and then NYTF etc etc. I'm looking forward to 2013 because one sku is $50.00 and with the figures now being $25.00 for subscribers i'm thinking that $50.00 sku is going to be the Horde Trooper army builder two pack and yes subscribers with early access ordering can buy any mattel product being offered day of sale so that includes MOTUC's. (cherry pickers) could be out of luck on sale day with some characters because places like BBTS order multiple subscriptions and can buy up lots of day of sale stock with the early access ordering leaving nothing for day of sale buyers. From the Matty site about the Club Eternia subscription: All figures EXCEPT the club-exclusive figure will also be available at MattyCollector.com around the 15th of each month without the membership. **Provided they haven’t sold out during the Early Access period**, non-subscribers will have the chance to buy these figures, but the price will be higher ($27 for regular figures). Availability isn’t guaranteed and the purchase limit is ten (10) per person.
  9. MOTUC Create a Character Contest Winner Revealed Posted by Admin on July 13, 2012 He-Fans and She-Ravers, After almost one year and over 1,300 entries, we have a winner of our Masters of the Universe® Create a Character Contest! During the Mattypalooza fan panel at SDCC it was revealed that Castle Grayskullman, created by Daniel Benedict, was chosen as the top entry and will be made into an actual figure available this fall as part of the 30th Anniversary line. The contest gave fans the opportunity to create a new MOTUC character based on bucks from existing 6 figures. It was the perfect chance for them to let their creativity shine. The panel of eight judges included members of Mattels marketing, entertainment, packaging, and design departments. They evaluated each entry, looking for concepts that had an original name and look, used approximately 50% shared parts, were easily translated into a toy, and fit into the world of MOTU. Daniels Castle Grayskullman wowed the judges, cleverly incorporating details from the vintage Castle Grayskull® Playset. The big announcement was made during the SDCC fan panel, where new art created specifically for Daniels concept was also revealed. In addition, Daniel will receive a 2013 Club Eternia® subscription, and he will be interviewed for an article right here on MattyCollector.com. Best of all, hell have lifelong bragging rights as creator of a new MOTUC character! In addition to the winning entry, five runner-ups were also announced during the SDCC fan panel, and each of them will also receive a 2013 club subscription. We congratulate Daniel and the runner-ups, and thank everyone who submitted for an incredible turnout! Matty P.S. Per the contests Official Rules and entry form, all entries remain the sole property of Mattel and may not be used or posted by anyone else (including any entrant), in any way, for any purpose.
  10. Yes Granamyr can stand. It was posted over on He-Man.org by someone at SDCC they showed Granamyr standing and it was said he's huge.
  11. My error it's called THE GREAT UNREST WEAPONS PACK In it we see MAA Arm Canon. Draego-Mans Accessories and Horde Primes staff. Keldors 200x swords. a white sorceress bird. Way to go Four Horsemen, Scott & Mattel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYSzmvhspwA&feature
  12. MOTUC Q&A's From Around the Net (7/2/2012) This is probably the final MOTUC Q&A from Around The Net before the 2012 SDCC reveals on July 13th at 3pm EST! Let's get to reading the latest bunch of answers from Mattel! hordak.de: 1. So Spector travels back in time to bring Sir Laser-Lot into the future who then serves as Man-At-Arms for King He-Man... Is Clamp Champ dead and why didn't he just save poor ol' Duncan instead? Spector can't just pull people out of time. That can lead to a paradox. Sir Laser Lot was a rare exception due to his mysterious disappearance/death. Similar to how Supergirl in that late JLU episode “Far from Home” where she goes to the future and stays there. As for Clamp Champ, his fate is yet to be revealed! 2. Are Karak Nul and Wun-Dar from the same era as Gygor and Vykron/ is there any connection between all these? Keep reading the bios! We aren't going to spill the beans here. 3. Will Scott Neitlich wear a purple Spandex suit at SDCC? From Toyguru: “That depends on whether Pixel Dan comes dressed as Mosquitor per our bet!” 4. Not really a question, rather a suggestion: Perfuma's flower, Peekablue's feathers, Angella's wings, Castaspella's hypnotic wheel, Mermista's shell and Flutterina's wings- they all are clipped into the back of the figure. Could you find a way to make these interchangeable much like you did with the arm attachments of the male figures? It could work as well with Scorpia's tail and Octavia's tentacles! Great thoughts. We'll pass these along. 5. In Toy Guru's blog we read about Randor's possible future variant that could even include his spear. But this spear has been released in the second weapons pak already. Is there a chance we could get one in vac metal or even die cast, if the time for a Randor variant has come? A cool idea but nothing to annunce right now. Die Cast is expensive so that is less likley. Mintconditioncustom.com: Grayskull asks: When will the next Mad Matty Monday happen? You’ll need to wait and see! Preternia.com: On Stinkor, the valve that plugs into his armor is not really referenced on the box anywhere. Really unless I had knowledge from the staction release I probably would not have known where to place it. Would it be possible in the future when a figure has a modern or alternate look it can be shown on the side flap similar to how Slush Head’s water dome instruction is? A great suggestion and one we will take into consideration! On Twitter, Geoff mentioned that people could get Sir Laser-Lot at SDCC. Was that just wrong info on his part or will there be some early stock there being sold? The fig will be displayed at SDCC but is not for sale until Aug. Am I able to change my shipping preference on my subs mid year if I contact CS or am I stuck with what I chose? You will be able to change and we are hoping to have our “My Sub” page ready soon to have even more control over your sub. Kastor’s Korner: Kastor’s Korner: Between MOTU and Ghostbusters’ Retro Heroes, Mattel has clearly established a good working relationship with Filmation. Is it possible this relationship may lead to some kind of future for another classic Filmation/ Mattel 80′s team-up– BraveStarr? While the Marshall never gained the mass appeal of He-Man, he’s not without his fans… and his 25th Anniversary is hitting this year! Mattel: Just because we have the license for Voltron and MOTU from Classic Media, this does not mean we have rights to all of their many properties. We do not have the rights to Bravestarr. MOTULA.org: Were the first EvilWarriors hired by keldor before, during or after Randor & Keldor faced Marzo in the Great Unrest? This will be revealed soon! Keep reading the bios and mini comics! If King Heman can send Spector back to the past to hire SLL, what's stopping him to save Duncan from his death? Sir Laser Lot was a VERY rare example of someone who could be pulled out of time due to the unique nature of his mysterious "death" or disappearance. Similar to Super Girl in that tail end episode of JLU "Far from Home". Do SLL keeps using his current armor when he becomes a MAA? or does he use the traditional MAA armor and gear? He uses his standard armor. The Armor is not distinct to the position. When Clamp Champ get the title MAA he does not wear the Duncan's armor. This was Duncan's look, not a look for the title. Given that Zodak is not a Cosmic Enforcer, can you explain what the armor used by Zodac, Zodak, Zeelahr, and Wun-dar comes from? Is that the outfit of some kind of order of mystical warriors, some of which are recruited as Cosmic Enforcers? Often armor is left over from battles and is taken by other warriors and used or reused as needed to stay alive on a battle ridden planet like Eternia! It is said that Evil-Lyn travels to the future to live with her son. How distant in the future does she travel? Maybe she travelled to a relatively near future coinciding with the age of King He-Man? Yes, the future she arrives in is during the time of King He-Man. MOTUClassics.Com: MOTUClassics.Com Asks: After the Dragon Blaster Skeletor reveal, a lot of talk focused on the dragon, but we’d like to ask about the sword. Long-time collectors have multiple purple swords at this point. We understand the vintage line repeated accessories, but we’re not sure if that should be a nostalgic callback. Can Mattel look into redecoing these repeated accessories to enhance future figures instead of reissuing the same ones repeatedly? At this point it is too late to make any changes to this figure. MOTUClassics.Com Asks: Depending on how you count the beasts and figures with only slight differences, the MOTU Classics line should reach its 100th figure sometime in 2013. Is there anything special planned for that centennial figure or will it just be a footnote when we get to it? Since schedule and logistical issues can change release schedules we simply are not in a position to pin point exactly which fig will be # 100. MOTUClassics.Com Asks: Will anything special be done with Mekaneck’s goggles? The figure looks like he’s off to a great start in the e-mail, but the goggles appear to have little defintion on the lenses. Will they be highlighted in anyway? The goggles are silver, but there is no vac metal. PlanetEternia.de: 1) If the MotU Classics line manages to last until 2017, would all characters that were available as actionfigures in the previous lines (MotU vintage, PoP, NA) have been released by then? Or are there any characters from those lines who ain't planned at all in the long run? Logistical and other issues can change release order so we don't have an exact date when ALL the vintage figs will be done in Classics, but we hope to get to this goal in time. 2) Why does the new Masters series from DC Comics follow its own continuity instead of playing within the MotU Classics canon? To allow DC writers the creative freedom to tell their own stories in the MOTU world and reinforce that there is no one cannon. 3) Is Mattel concerned that an oversupply of product might result in less customers subscribing for 2013 due to figures being available for lower prices on the secondary market and Mattel re-offering product? There are fans who fear that this might jeopardize the necessary limited amount of subscriptions necessary to keep the line going well. This is something we are always looking into and it is one reason no figure in 2012 and beyond will go into a second run. 4) It seems like ages since we heard anything about a new Master movie. Do you have anything to share in terms of its development? It is currently with Sony for development. No new news right now. 5) A lot of vintage MotU figures nowadays have stains as a result from the plastic used 20-30 years ago. Now those toys were not produced as collectors items. But did you ensure to use materials for the MotU Classics that won't experience similar constrictions in upcoming years? We do age test all of our product but there is no way to know for sure as each customer has a different experience with there toys. The harder you play with them, the less likley they will last forever. Hey, we were all kids once right?!
  13. MOTUC Q&A's From Around the Net (6/15/2012) MOTULA.foroactivo.net: Which was the historical milestone that marked the end of the Preternia Era and the start of the Eternia Era? Sorry, we aren't going to spill the beans here! Keep reading the bios! We already have HordePrime's bio, however, there is no mention of his true size. Is it more akin to filmation or UK comic version? Think of it like the Wizard of Oz where a hologram or puppet version is used for communication. But his real form is standard size. But that is just one interpretation. Everyone brings their own thoughts into the difference. Even though any Mattel MOTU toy can have a MOTUC rendition, there's no real chance that we actually see MOTUC Meteorbs sometime, right? In no way are they off the table. Just no plans to announce now. Is there a chance that Mattel could record SDCC Mattypalooza on HD and then broadcast it through ToyGuru's youtube channel? Most of us (international fans) end up watching amateur (low quality) video recordings of the lucky fans that get to attend. Shooting more expensive videos takes times and resources away from the toys. Honestly, we would rather get more deco ops and accessories for the toys then spend money to get out better videos right now. The panel is a reward for those who attend SDCC live in person. Would fans prefer for us to shoot more video and put less into the toys? Let us know? Hordak.de: 1. A design suggestion for Modulok: In MotUC many parts can be shared, like the arm attachments from Trap Jaw, Roboto, Hurricane Hordak, Horde Prime and Spikor. When you get to Modulok, would you consider making him interchangeable with those parts and give him connecting pieces for Draego Man's wings or the insect legs from Buzz Off? This would give you some cool options: First off a new kind of Weapons Pak with new body parts for Modulok without new tooling and second- if and when you get to accessories like Tower Tools or Cliff Climber- you could make those parts interchangeable, too! Imagine a Mega-Modulok with wings, insect legs, a Mekaneck extension and a drill as left hand! Or Multi-Bot with an extra Trap-Jaw arm and chainsaw attachment!>> This is a cool idea but as we do not have a Modulok figure planned right now these type of conversations simply have not taken place. But we'll pass this along! 2. Though it limits the arm articulation on the Sorceress a little bit, the wing action feature works really well! Would you consider reusing her shoulders for Starburst She-Ra to save on tooling costs?>> Same answer as above. We haven't discussed this figure but anything is possible. Cool suggestion! 3. Fans are wondering if the Horde was originally intended as PoP villains and then was adapted into the MotU toyline or if it was the other way round and they have been MotU toys first and then appeared in the She-Ra cartoon. Can you clarify on this? From Toyguru: "I only started at Mattel in 2006, so I wasn't around during the vintage days to answer a question like this, Sorry I don't have a concrete answer." 4. There will be two versions of Vykron at sale day on mattycollector. Will we be able to order both or will it be a surprise which one we'll get? Yes, there will be two version and you can order either one as a separate toy so you know what you are getting. 5. So... Illumina is battling Geldor and six others... how big are the chances that we will see the second winner in 2015? We are just now starting to do prelim work on 2014. 2015 is too far off to comment. Preternia.com: I was curious now that Mekaneck has been revealed, could you give a little explanatoin as to how the neck extensions work? I know it was explained they can’t stack, so I was curious as to how they work or what range of movement they have. You will get one Makeaneck head, one 2 inch neck and one 5 inch neck. They are swapable so you can display with no extended neck, 2 inches or 5 inches. But you can’t connect the 2 inch on top of the 5 inch to make 7 inches. In your latest video I saw a Horde Prime sitting in the backdrop with his cancelled staff, is this a hint? Or are you just showing off and making us drool more? We’ve noted before we are looking for ways to release this dropped accessory, but nothing offical to announce yet. I’ve seen a few subscribers say they never got the email regarding Mekaneck even after checking their spam folders and all … is a reason for this being looked into or was there a reason found? Especially with the mention that more is to come, we don’t want to miss anything! If you did not receive the email, please just call CS to have them note and correct this if you are a sub holder! For next year’s sub exclusive would you consider letting subscribers order up to a certain up to maximum number of the exclusive figure when they buy their sub? What I mean is when you opt in for your sub, you have the option to maybe get yourself up to 3 Shadow Weavers per sub. Or do you feel this defeats the purpose of the sub exclusive? No, it is one sub exclusive figure per full sub order. Mintconditioncustom.com: Daniel asks: When will the subscriptions page be back up for customers to see on their profiles? Ideally soon. We are working hard on this. Kastor's Korner: Great video debut for the SDCC Dark Knight Rises Bruce Wayne figure! The Castle Grayskull in the background appears to be a different shape than the vintage box… is this a hint at things to come in the Masters of the Universe series, or just an odd camera angle? Not a hint or something that should be interpreted. That is an actual MIB 1982 Castle. We have it in the office and just use it as a backdrop because it is neat and fills the space. Elkkthunderstoyroom.com: Will there be new pieces held back to show at Power-Con this year? We will have items to reveal at Power Con, yes Is the new CS team also working on making invoices correct as well as getting the online subscription page more reliable? Is there a date for this to happen? All of this is in the works. No dates to announce right now. MOTUClassics.Com: MOTUClassics.Com Asks: We know the intention is there to get Draego-Man’s cut accessories back into the line somewhere, is the same true for Spector’s attachments? Spector’s is a little harder. For Draego Man, his accessories are all hand held and can work with almost any figure. Spector’s whip attaches through the arm comm-link on Spector and is specific to only him, so it is a little harder. But if there is enough demand, we know a certain Mattel Brand Manager that would love to see this accessory released one day! MOTUClassics.Com Asks: We asked about this a few years ago, but Toy Guru’s recent Scareglow blog has got us thinking about it again. Karak Nul – is he more than just a name? Is there any design or backstory on his pre-Scareglow years. Is he on the table as a possible figure or is that very unlikely? We actually have fleshed this out and, in time, it is always possible to see “secret identity” figures for quite a few MOTU characters pre-transformation (similar to Keldor).
  14. Look what images I found from a chinese auction on ebay My subs shipped I can't wait for my Horde Prime to arrive UPS Ground on Wednsday the 20th I'm going to grab an exta today.
  15. Upcoming MOTUC figures carded by Mattycollector.com on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 5:13pm ·
  16. Scott said the smell was added to the whole batch of plastic and some figures may have more stink than others. Scott also said that the whole figure doesn't stick, that the smell was only included in the plastic used for Stinkors shoulders & back.
  17. MOTUC Q&A's From Around The Net (6/1/2012) Hordak.de: 1. The mini-comics from vintage, PoP and NA all had the same size, why was the decision made to produce the new comics in a new size? This was the size that worked the best for the current product. We tried to scale as best we could to the vintage comics, but we know they are not the same. 2. The goddess looks like Teela who is a clone of the Sorceress. Are they related to each other? No. At least not in Classics cannon. 3. In the mini-comics Procrustus held Eternia together from the inside. In MYP we saw Hordak almost splitting the planet in half. Will there be any connection between these two in the new bios if and when you get to Procrustus? Keep reading the bios! 4. Clawdeen is a pink female lion with a mane. Will we learn more about in her bio if/when you get to her? Yes, if we get to her you will learn more in her bio. But nothing to announce now. 5. A question directly from hordak.des Miri to Scott: As a fanboy it must be really hard to also be the brands manager of this line. One part of you is not allowed to spoil things, while the other part wants to shout it out loud. So, the fanboy inside of you, does he want to tell us something? Come on, I know you want to! That's just between us ;-) From Toyguru: It is "tough" but as a marketing manager I also know that PR value only lasts for so long and if you announce something too early it can either change or loose stream. Always a tough bridge to balance on. Infinite Hollywood: 1. At the NYTF Toy Guru mentioned that the Mini Masters were being worked on and that you guys were busy figuring out a way to get them out. What's the latest news on the Mini Masters? Many of us were overjoyed to hear that they're closer to becoming a reality. At this time we are still looking for a home for these. Nothing is ready to announce yet. 2. Have you guys considered making a prop replica of the power sword? Much like the Ghostbusters and Back to the Future lines are getting prop replicas. We have looked into this but Mattel has a strict no blades policy so we are working on finding the right way to do this. It would be cool. 3. For the Snake-Men army builder set, would it be possible in the future to perhaps do a "mystery variant" set? Meaning, I have seen it mentioned that a possible red/green set and even a rarer blue/purple set would be possible, but could you randomly pack these out, where you would get Snake-Man #1 and Snake-Man #2, but #1 might be green and #2 might be blue ... or another set where #1 would be red, #2 would be black ... (I'm sure some collectors would HATE this, but some would love the hunt) Legally we can't do chase figures online as that counts as an interstate lottery. But doing variants of this set would be a lot of fun! Preternia.com: Regarding price increases next year, I think we were all expecting them … but you used the term dramatic to describe them causing people to be concerned that the figures could go up to $30+ dollars next year. I understand you cant give exact numbers but can you give any clarification on what a dramatic increase might be? Some of the numbers people have been throwing out guessing are downright scary. We wont have this info to announce until our fan panel at SDCC. Is there an ETA yet on the subscription management system? Ideally before SDCC. We need to work all the bugs out first. You have said that many Filmation characters will show up in 2013, is Filmation going to be boxing out the concept character slots we have been getting the past few years? No, Filmation will be in addition to all the other catagories you get. Is there a faction the MOTUC team really wants to pump out a lot of figures for and make as complete as possible? The past few years it has definitely seemed like the Horde but the Snake Men have gotten some serious love this year. Ideally in time all of the teams and factions will get complete. It is really just a matter of time. MOTULA.foroactivo.net: Correct me if i'm wrong: First there were CosmicWarriors, one by age. then, after He-ro's death and the Sword of He staying on Eternia, the Cosmic Enforcers were formed. Was Kar-Tor a CosmicEnforcer before Zodac Zur? Kar-tor was never a Cosmic Enforcer. So far the era that has been changed the most " Storywise" in MOTUC has been the NA.Can you please tell us why such a different take on the original concept? I'm not saying its bad, I just want to know why the change. Thanks in advance It really came down to streamlining. We had both the NA story and the Horde Empire in outer space so it made sense to simplify it slighty and not set NA in the "future" since this did not change anything that signifigant about the events. Last year's Comic-Con was great due to the big announcements. What we MOTU fans can expect for this upcoming Comic-Con? Any comment to generate expectations, please? You will get to see Granamyr in person as well as the first quarter's worth of product for 2013. We want to know if do you have in mind to release the Elders figures in the current MOTUC story, namely those characters who appear rounding King Grayskull at his moment of death in the 200x series. Obviously we understand they will be Classic-sized, thank you. This would be a great set of character to do, but we don't want to comment on any unannounced figures at this time. So far we had very few female characters per year. Are there any plans to release more amount of women figures starting next year? There will be a variety of females every year. So far 2012 has had Starla, Jewlstar, Tallstar, Shadow Weaver and Frosta. MOTUClassics.Com: MOTUClassics.Com Asks: It appears collectors that inadvertantly ordered their MOTU Subscription and 30th Anniversary subscriptions with different shipping methods are experiencing the most difficulty with getting their subs combined. Many are having to go through a second round of shipping refunds. Is this something that should be fixed prior to Snake MAA or will the double shipping and refunds continue through the remaining three figures? Yes, if you ordered your subs with different shipping methods they will not ship together. It was up to customers to order their subs with the same shipping method to have them ship together. If customers call the CS department, they can adjust this for them. MOTUClassics.Com Asks: To further expand on the Griffin bio, we enjoyed the decision to make them non-indigenous to Eternia. What was in mind that motivated that particular aspect of the bio? This was an added detail to really play up that not everything happens on Eternia and there is a larger Universe out there in “Masters of the Universe”. Kastor's Korner: 2012 saw a stripping down of accessories and extras, many of which still do not have homes or a means of getting into the proper figure’s hands (e.g. Spector’s whip, an alternate wand for Frosta, Spikor’s hammer, etc)… is it possible that these missing or unproduced weapons could still see release, either as pack-ins with 2013 figures (which, due to a likely higher price tag may have more tooling budget), or even in a new Weapons Pak, which could feature newly tooled parts alongside repainted gear? It is possible, but some of the accessories you mention were never sculpted or planned. There were never plans for an extra wand for Frosta or a hammer for Spikor. Spector is the only Masters figure whose name includes a descriptor in his name: “Mighty.” What makes him mighty? Or is this a title associated with Time Agents such as he? Fearless Photog. Elkkthunder's Toyroom: Do faster sellouts of stronger characters like Stinkor help the line, while NA Slush Head remained longer? It is always good to see sell outs of figures. Will strong sales of MOTU exclusives at SDCC do anything to help the line for 2013, or more importantly sub sales? The sub sales for the 2012 lines are what determined the 2013 line. The sub sales of the 2013 line will determine the 2014 lines. The toy industry works 2 years ahead. Are all the Digital River changes in place? Will there be any details of any future changes? No, we are constantly making changes and improvements!
  18. There is enough bitching about it over at the ORG... Anyone going to try the fix?... Oh man people are in an uproar about it over there. I was looking at it last night. Yeah it kinda looks weird, but honestly I am cool with it as is. All together he is a solid figure. People are also complaining about his weapons being plain. While I will admit this is true, I will also admit that it doesn't look bad either. Mine hardly smells, anyone else's like that? I actually can't smell him at all unless I put my nose to it, my wife can smell it a little easier, but you have to be right on it to get a good whiff. Actually I've got him right here on my desk in my cubical and can't really smell him at all. Try taking Stinkors armor off then you will smell him. The stench of evil was strong and dame near made my eyes water
  19. It's there, but not really strong. I never had the vintage Stinkor so I didn't know what to expect. You need to put him to your nose and sniff hard (Huffing on stinkor ) then you get the full effect
  20. Got my day of sale Stinkor today. Fantastic figure, but I hated the plain blue accessories so I got some Model Masters True Blue Pearl Acrylic paint and touched up the tanks and weapons a little. Then it still looked a bit off to me as something was missing. I loved how the staction had hoses attached to the tanks and mask so I painted some thin flexible hose with the blue pearl paint and attached them. I PRESENT TO YOU MY CUSTOMIZED MOTUC STINKOR
  21. So Glad he's in my 2012 Club Eternia subscription @yipee@ I'll have to grab two extras on sale day so that I have more Neck extentions to really make his neck go 15 inches @bananna@
